| 1:1 Aconteció en los días que gobernaban los jueces, que hubo hambre en la tierra. Y un varón de Belén de Judá fue a morar en los campos de Moab, él y su mujer, y dos hijos suyos. |
Now it came to pass in the days when the judges ruled, that there was a famine in the land. And a certain man of Bethlehemjudah went to sojourn in the country of Moab, he, and his wife, and his two sons. |
וַיְהִי בִּימֵי שְׁפֹט הַשֹּׁפְטִים וַיְהִי רָעָב בָּאָרֶץ וַיֵּלֶךְ אִישׁ מִבֵּית לֶחֶם יְהוּדָה לָגוּר בִּשְׂדֵי מֹואָב הוּא וְאִשְׁתֹּו וּשְׁנֵי בָנָיו׃ |
| 1:2 El nombre de aquel varón era Elimelec, y el de su mujer, Noemí; y los nombres de sus hijos eran Mahlón y Quelión, efrateos de Belén de Judá. Llegaron, pues, a los campos de Moab, y se quedaron allí. |
And the name of the man was Elimelech, and the name of his wife Naomi, and the name of his two sons Mahlon and Chilion, Ephrathites of Bethlehemjudah. And they came into the country of Moab, and continued there. |
וְשֵׁם הָאִישׁ אֱלִימֶלֶךְ וְשֵׁם אִשְׁתֹּו נָעֳמִי וְשֵׁם שְׁנֵי־בָנָיו ׀ מַחְלֹון וְכִלְיֹון אֶפְרָתִים מִבֵּית לֶחֶם יְהוּדָה וַיָּבֹאוּ שְׂדֵי־מֹואָב וַיִּהְיוּ־שָׁם׃ |
| 1:3 Y murió Elimelec, marido de Noemí, y quedó ella con sus dos hijos, |
And Elimelech Naomi's husband died; and she was left, and her two sons. |
וַיָּמָת אֱלִימֶלֶךְ אִישׁ נָעֳמִי וַתִּשָּׁאֵר הִיא וּשְׁנֵי בָנֶיהָ׃ |
| 1:4 los cuales tomaron para sí mujeres moabitas; el nombre de una era Orfa, y el nombre de la otra, Rut; y habitaron allí unos diez años. |
And they took them wives of the women of Moab; the name of the one was Orpah, and the name of the other Ruth: and they dwelled there about ten years. |
וַיִּשְׂאוּ לָהֶם נָשִׁים מֹאֲבִיֹּות שֵׁם הָאַחַת עָרְפָּה וְשֵׁם הַשֵּׁנִית רוּת וַיֵּשְׁבוּ שָׁם כְּעֶשֶׂר שָׁנִים׃ |
| 1:5 Y murieron también los dos, Mahlón y Quelión, quedando así la mujer desamparada de sus dos hijos y de su marido. |
And Mahlon and Chilion died also both of them; and the woman was left of her two sons and her husband. |
וַיָּמוּתוּ גַם־שְׁנֵיהֶם מַחְלֹון וְכִלְיֹון וַתִּשָּׁאֵר הָאִשָּׁה מִשְּׁנֵי יְלָדֶיהָ וּמֵאִישָׁהּ׃ |
| 1:6 Entonces se levantó con sus nueras, y regresó de los campos de Moab; porque oyó en el campo de Moab que Jehová había visitado a su pueblo para darles pan. |
Then she arose with her daughters in law, that she might return from the country of Moab: for she had heard in the country of Moab how that the LORD had visited his people in giving them bread. |
וַתָּקָם הִיא וְכַלֹּתֶיהָ וַתָּשָׁב מִשְּׂדֵי מֹואָב כִּי שָׁמְעָה בִּשְׂדֵה מֹואָב כִּי־פָקַד יְהוָה אֶת־עַמֹּו לָתֵת לָהֶם לָחֶם׃ |
| 1:7 Salió, pues, del lugar donde había estado, y con ella sus dos nueras, y comenzaron a caminar para volverse a la tierra de Judá. |
Wherefore she went forth out of the place where she was, and her two daughters in law with her; and they went on the way to return unto the land of Judah. |
וַתֵּצֵא מִן־הַמָּקֹום אֲשֶׁר הָיְתָה־שָׁמָּה וּשְׁתֵּי כַלֹּתֶיהָ עִמָּהּ וַתֵּלַכְנָה בַדֶּרֶךְ לָשׁוּב אֶל־אֶרֶץ יְהוּדָה׃ |
| 1:8 Y Noemí dijo a sus dos nueras: Andad, volveos cada una a la casa de su madre; Jehová haga con vosotras misericordia, como la habéis hecho con los muertos y conmigo. |
And Naomi said unto her two daughters in law, Go, return each to her mother's house: the LORD deal kindly with you, as ye have dealt with the dead, and with me. |
וַתֹּאמֶר נָעֳמִי לִשְׁתֵּי כַלֹּתֶיהָ לֵכְנָה שֹּׁבְנָה אִשָּׁה לְבֵית אִמָּהּ [יַעֲשֶׂה כ] (יַעַשׂ ק) יְהוָה עִמָּכֶם חֶסֶד כַּאֲשֶׁר עֲשִׂיתֶם עִם־הַמֵּתִים וְעִמָּדִי׃ |
| 1:9 Os conceda Jehová que halléis descanso, cada una en casa de su marido. Luego las besó, y ellas alzaron su voz y lloraron, |
The LORD grant you that ye may find rest, each of you in the house of her husband. Then she kissed them; and they lifted up their voice, and wept. |
יִתֵּן יְהוָה לָכֶם וּמְצֶאןָ מְנוּחָה אִשָּׁה בֵּית אִישָׁהּ וַתִּשַּׁק לָהֶן וַתִּשֶּׂאנָה קֹולָן וַתִּבְכֶּינָה׃ |
| 1:10 y le dijeron: Ciertamente nosotras iremos contigo a tu pueblo. |
And they said unto her, Surely we will return with thee unto thy people. |
וַתֹּאמַרְנָה־לָּהּ כִּי־אִתָּךְ נָשׁוּב לְעַמֵּךְ׃ |
| 1:11 Y Noemí respondió: Volveos, hijas mías; ¿para qué habéis de ir conmigo? ¿Tengo yo más hijos en el vientre, que puedan ser vuestros maridos? |
And Naomi said, Turn again, my daughters: why will ye go with me? are there yet any more sons in my womb, that they may be your husbands? |
וַתֹּאמֶר נָעֳמִי שֹׁבְנָה בְנֹתַי לָמָּה תֵלַכְנָה עִמִּי הַעֹוד־לִי בָנִים בְּמֵעַי וְהָיוּ לָכֶם לַאֲנָשִׁים׃ |
| 1:12 Volveos, hijas mías, e idos; porque yo ya soy vieja para tener marido. Y aunque dijese: Esperanza tengo, y esta noche estuviese con marido, y aun diese a luz hijos, |
Turn again, my daughters, go your way; for I am too old to have an husband. If I should say, I have hope, if I should have an husband also to night, and should also bear sons; |
שֹׁבְנָה בְנֹתַי לֵכְןָ כִּי זָקַנְתִּי מִהְיֹות לְאִישׁ כִּי אָמַרְתִּי יֶשׁ־לִי תִקְוָה גַּם הָיִיתִי הַלַּיְלָה לְאִישׁ וְגַם יָלַדְתִּי בָנִים׃ |
| 1:13 ¿habíais vosotras de esperarlos hasta que fuesen grandes? ¿Habíais de quedaros sin casar por amor a ellos? No, hijas mías; que mayor amargura tengo yo que vosotras, pues la mano de Jehová ha salido contra mí. |
Would ye tarry for them till they were grown? would ye stay for them from having husbands? nay, my daughters; for it grieveth me much for your sakes that the hand of the LORD is gone out against me. |
הֲלָהֵן ׀ תְּשַׂבֵּרְנָה עַד אֲשֶׁר יִגְדָּלוּ הֲלָהֵן תֵּעָגֵנָה לְבִלְתִּי הֱיֹות לְאִישׁ אַל בְּנֹתַי כִּי־מַר־לִי מְאֹד מִכֶּם כִּי־יָצְאָה בִי יַד־יְהוָה׃ |
| 1:14 Y ellas alzaron otra vez su voz y lloraron; y Orfa besó a su suegra, mas Rut se quedó con ella. |
And they lifted up their voice, and wept again: and Orpah kissed her mother in law; but Ruth clave unto her. |
וַתִּשֶּׂנָה קֹולָן וַתִּבְכֶּינָה עֹוד וַתִּשַּׁק עָרְפָּה לַחֲמֹותָהּ וְרוּת דָּבְקָה בָּהּ׃ |
| 1:15 Y Noemí dijo: He aquí tu cuñada se ha vuelto a su pueblo y a sus dioses; vuélvete tú tras ella. |
And she said, Behold, thy sister in law is gone back unto her people, and unto her gods: return thou after thy sister in law. |
וַתֹּאמֶר הִנֵּה שָׁבָה יְבִמְתֵּךְ אֶל־עַמָּהּ וְאֶל־אֱלֹהֶיהָ שׁוּבִי אַחֲרֵי יְבִמְתֵּךְ׃ |
| 1:16 Respondió Rut: No me ruegues que te deje, y me aparte de ti; porque a dondequiera que tú fueres, iré yo, y dondequiera que vivieres, viviré. Tu pueblo será mi pueblo, y tu Dios mi Dios. |
And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God: |
וַתֹּאמֶר רוּת אַל־תִּפְגְּעִי־בִי לְעָזְבֵךְ לָשׁוּב מֵאַחֲרָיִךְ כִּי אֶל־אֲשֶׁר תֵּלְכִי אֵלֵךְ וּבַאֲשֶׁר תָּלִינִי אָלִין עַמֵּךְ עַמִּי וֵאלֹהַיִךְ אֱלֹהָי׃ |
| 1:17 Donde tú murieres, moriré yo, y allí seré sepultada; así me haga Jehová, y aun me añada, que sólo la muerte hará separación entre nosotras dos. |
Where thou diest, will I die, and there will I be buried: the LORD do so to me, and more also, if ought but death part thee and me. |
בַּאֲשֶׁר תָּמוּתִי אָמוּת וְשָׁם אֶקָּבֵר כֹּה יַעֲשֶׂה יְהוָה לִי וְכֹה יֹסִיף כִּי הַמָּוֶת יַפְרִיד בֵּינִי וּבֵינֵךְ׃ |
| 1:18 Y viendo Noemí que estaba tan resuelta a ir con ella, no dijo más. |
When she saw that she was stedfastly minded to go with her, then she left speaking unto her. |
וַתֵּרֶא כִּי־מִתְאַמֶּצֶת הִיא לָלֶכֶת אִתָּהּ וַתֶּחְדַּל לְדַבֵּר אֵלֶיהָ׃ |
| 1:19 Anduvieron, pues, ellas dos hasta que llegaron a Belén; y aconteció que habiendo entrado en Belén, toda la ciudad se conmovió por causa de ellas, y decían: ¿No es ésta Noemí? |
So they two went until they came to Bethlehem. And it came to pass, when they were come to Bethlehem, that all the city was moved about them, and they said, Is this Naomi? |
וַתֵּלַכְנָה שְׁתֵּיהֶם עַד־בֹּאָנָה בֵּית לָחֶם וַיְהִי כְּבֹאָנָה בֵּית לֶחֶם וַתֵּהֹם כָּל־הָעִיר עֲלֵיהֶן וַתֹּאמַרְנָה הֲזֹאת נָעֳמִי׃ |
| 1:20 Y ella les respondía: No me llaméis Noemí, sino llamadme Mara; porque en grande amargura me ha puesto el Todopoderoso. |
And she said unto them, Call me not Naomi, call me Mara: for the Almighty hath dealt very bitterly with me. |
וַתֹּאמֶר אֲלֵיהֶן אַל־תִּקְרֶאנָה לִי נָעֳמִי קְרֶאןָ לִי מָרָא כִּי־הֵמַר שַׁדַּי לִי מְאֹד׃ |
| 1:21 Yo me fui llena, pero Jehová me ha vuelto con las manos vacías. ¿Por qué me llamaréis Noemí, ya que Jehová ha dado testimonio contra mí, y el Todopoderoso me ha afligido? |
I went out full, and the LORD hath brought me home again empty: why then call ye me Naomi, seeing the LORD hath testified against me, and the Almighty hath afflicted me? |
אֲנִי מְלֵאָה הָלַכְתִּי וְרֵיקָם הֱשִׁיבַנִי יְהוָה לָמָּה תִקְרֶאנָה לִי נָעֳמִי וַיהוָה עָנָה בִי וְשַׁדַּי הֵרַע לִי׃ |
| 1:22 Así volvió Noemí, y Rut la moabita su nuera con ella; volvió de los campos de Moab, y llegaron a Belén al comienzo de la siega de la cebada. |
So Naomi returned, and Ruth the Moabitess, her daughter in law, with her, which returned out of the country of Moab: and they came to Bethlehem in the beginning of barley harvest. |
וַתָּשָׁב נָעֳמִי וְרוּת הַמֹּואֲבִיָּה כַלָּתָהּ עִמָּהּ הַשָּׁבָה מִשְּׂדֵי מֹואָב וְהֵמָּה בָּאוּ בֵּית לֶחֶם בִּתְחִלַּת קְצִיר שְׂעֹרִים׃ |
| 2:1 Tenía Noemí un pariente de su marido, hombre rico de la familia de Elimelec, el cual se llamaba Booz. |
And Naomi had a kinsman of her husband's, a mighty man of wealth, of the family of Elimelech; and his name was Boaz. |
וּלְנָעֳמִי [מְיֻדָּע כ] (מֹודַע ק) לְאִישָׁהּ אִישׁ גִּבֹּור חַיִל מִמִּשְׁפַּחַת אֱלִימֶלֶךְ וּשְׁמֹו בֹּעַז׃ |
| 2:2 Y Rut la moabita dijo a Noemí: Te ruego que me dejes ir al campo, y recogeré espigas en pos de aquel a cuyos ojos hallare gracia. Y ella le respondió: Vé, hija mía. |
And Ruth the Moabitess said unto Naomi, Let me now go to the field, and glean ears of corn after him in whose sight I shall find grace. And she said unto her, Go, my daughter. |
וַתֹּאמֶר רוּת הַמֹּואֲבִיָּה אֶל־נָעֳמִי אֵלְכָה־נָּא הַשָּׂדֶה וַאֲלַקֳטָה בַשִּׁבֳּלִים אַחַר אֲשֶׁר אֶמְצָא־חֵן בְּעֵינָיו וַתֹּאמֶר לָהּ לְכִי בִתִּי׃ |
| 2:3 Fue, pues, y llegando, espigó en el campo en pos de los segadores; y aconteció que aquella parte del campo era de Booz, el cual era de la familia de Elimelec. |
And she went, and came, and gleaned in the field after the reapers: and her hap was to light on a part of the field belonging unto Boaz, who was of the kindred of Elimelech. |
וַתֵּלֶךְ וַתָּבֹוא וַתְּלַקֵּט בַּשָּׂדֶה אַחֲרֵי הַקֹּצְרִים וַיִּקֶר מִקְרֶהָ חֶלְקַת הַשָּׂדֶה לְבֹעַז אֲשֶׁר מִמִּשְׁפַּחַת אֱלִימֶלֶךְ׃ |
| 2:4 Y he aquí que Booz vino de Belén, y dijo a los segadores: Jehová sea con vosotros. Y ellos respondieron: Jehová te bendiga. |
And, behold, Boaz came from Bethlehem, and said unto the reapers, The LORD be with you. And they answered him, The LORD bless thee. |
וְהִנֵּה־בֹעַז בָּא מִבֵּית לֶחֶם וַיֹּאמֶר לַקֹּוצְרִים יְהוָה עִמָּכֶם וַיֹּאמְרוּ לֹו יְבָרֶכְךָ יְהוָה׃ |
| 2:5 Y Booz dijo a su criado el mayordomo de los segadores: ¿De quién es esta joven? |
Then said Boaz unto his servant that was set over the reapers, Whose damsel is this? |
וַיֹּאמֶר בֹּעַז לְנַעֲרֹו הַנִּצָּב עַל־הַקֹּוצְרִים לְמִי הַנַּעֲרָה הַזֹּאת׃ |
| 2:6 Y el criado, mayordomo de los segadores, respondió y dijo: Es la joven moabita que volvió con Noemí de los campos de Moab; |
And the servant that was set over the reapers answered and said, It is the Moabitish damsel that came back with Naomi out of the country of Moab: |
וַיַּעַן הַנַּעַר הַנִּצָּב עַל־הַקֹּוצְרִים וַיֹּאמַר נַעֲרָה מֹואֲבִיָּה הִיא הַשָּׁבָה עִם־נָעֳמִי מִשְּׂדֵה מֹואָב׃ |
| 2:7 y ha dicho: Te ruego que me dejes recoger y juntar tras los segadores entre las gavillas. Entró, pues, y está desde por la mañana hasta ahora, sin descansar ni aun por un momento. |
And she said, I pray you, let me glean and gather after the reapers among the sheaves: so she came, and hath continued even from the morning until now, that she tarried a little in the house. |
וַתֹּאמֶר אֲלַקֳטָה־נָּא וְאָסַפְתִּי בָעֳמָרִים אַחֲרֵי הַקֹּוצְרִים וַתָּבֹוא וַתַּעֲמֹוד מֵאָז הַבֹּקֶר וְעַד־עַתָּה זֶה שִׁבְתָּהּ הַבַּיִת מְעָט׃ |
| 2:8 Entonces Booz dijo a Rut: Oye, hija mía, no vayas a espigar a otro campo, ni pases de aquí; y aquí estarás junto a mis criadas. |
Then said Boaz unto Ruth, Hearest thou not, my daughter? Go not to glean in another field, neither go from hence, but abide here fast by my maidens: |
וַיֹּאמֶר בֹּעַז אֶל־רוּת הֲלֹוא שָׁמַעַתְּ בִּתִּי אַל־תֵּלְכִי לִלְקֹט בְּשָׂדֶה אַחֵר וְגַם לֹא תַעֲבוּרִי מִזֶּה וְכֹה תִדְבָּקִין עִם־נַעֲרֹתָי׃ |
| 2:9 Mira bien el campo que sieguen, y síguelas; porque yo he mandado a los criados que no te molesten. Y cuando tengas sed, ve a las vasijas, y bebe del agua que sacan los criados. |
Let thine eyes be on the field that they do reap, and go thou after them: have I not charged the young men that they shall not touch thee? and when thou art athirst, go unto the vessels, and drink of that which the young men have drawn. |
עֵינַיִךְ בַּשָּׂדֶה אֲשֶׁר־יִקְצֹרוּן וְהָלַכְתְּ אַחֲרֵיהֶן הֲלֹוא צִוִּיתִי אֶת־הַנְּעָרִים לְבִלְתִּי נָגְעֵךְ וְצָמִת וְהָלַכְתְּ אֶל־הַכֵּלִים וְשָׁתִית מֵאֲשֶׁר יִשְׁאֲבוּן הַנְּעָרִים׃ |
| 2:10 Ella entonces bajando su rostro se inclinó a tierra, y le dijo: ¿Por qué he hallado gracia en tus ojos para que me reconozcas, siendo yo extranjera? |
Then she fell on her face, and bowed herself to the ground, and said unto him, Why have I found grace in thine eyes, that thou shouldest take knowledge of me, seeing I am a stranger? |
וַתִּפֹּל עַל־פָּנֶיהָ וַתִּשְׁתַּחוּ אָרְצָה וַתֹּאמֶר אֵלָיו מַדּוּעַ מָצָאתִי חֵן בְּעֵינֶיךָ לְהַכִּירֵנִי וְאָנֹכִי נָכְרִיָּה׃ |
| 2:11 Y respondiendo Booz, le dijo: He sabido todo lo que has hecho con tu suegra después de la muerte de tu marido, y que dejando a tu padre y a tu madre y la tierra donde naciste, has venido a un pueblo que no conociste antes. |
And Boaz answered and said unto her, It hath fully been shewed me, all that thou hast done unto thy mother in law since the death of thine husband: and how thou hast left thy father and thy mother, and the land of thy nativity, and art come unto a people which thou knewest not heretofore. |
וַיַּעַן בֹּעַז וַיֹּאמֶר לָהּ הֻגֵּד הֻגַּד לִי כֹּל אֲשֶׁר־עָשִׂית אֶת־חֲמֹותֵךְ אַחֲרֵי מֹות אִישֵׁךְ וַתַּעַזְבִי אָבִיךְ וְאִמֵּךְ וְאֶרֶץ מֹולַדְתֵּךְ וַתֵּלְכִי אֶל־עַם אֲשֶׁר לֹא־יָדַעַתְּ תְּמֹול שִׁלְשֹׁום׃ |
| 2:12 Jehová recompense tu obra, y tu remuneración sea cumplida de parte de Jehová Dios de Israel, bajo cuyas alas has venido a refugiarte. |
The LORD recompense thy work, and a full reward be given thee of the LORD God of Israel, under whose wings thou art come to trust. |
יְשַׁלֵּם יְהוָה פָּעֳלֵךְ וּתְהִי מַשְׂכֻּרְתֵּךְ שְׁלֵמָה מֵעִם יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל אֲשֶׁר־בָּאת לַחֲסֹות תַּחַת־כְּנָפָיו׃ |
| 2:13 Y ella dijo: Señor mío, halle yo gracia delante de tus ojos; porque me has consolado, y porque has hablado al corazón de tu sierva, aunque no soy ni como una de tus criadas. |
Then she said, Let me find favour in thy sight, my lord; for that thou hast comforted me, and for that thou hast spoken friendly unto thine handmaid, though I be not like unto one of thine handmaidens. |
וַתֹּאמֶר אֶמְצָא־חֵן בְּעֵינֶיךָ אֲדֹנִי כִּי נִחַמְתָּנִי וְכִי דִבַּרְתָּ עַל־לֵב שִׁפְחָתֶךָ וְאָנֹכִי לֹא אֶהְיֶה כְּאַחַת שִׁפְחֹתֶיךָ׃ |
| 2:14 Y Booz le dijo a la hora de comer: Ven aquí, y come del pan, y moja tu bocado en el vinagre. Y ella se sentó junto a los segadores, y él le dio del potaje, y comió hasta que se sació, y le sobró. |
And Boaz said unto her, At mealtime come thou hither, and eat of the bread, and dip thy morsel in the vinegar. And she sat beside the reapers: and he reached her parched corn, and she did eat, and was sufficed, and left. |
וַיֹּאמֶר לָה בֹעַז לְעֵת הָאֹכֶל גֹּשִׁי הֲלֹם וְאָכַלְתְּ מִן־הַלֶּחֶם וְטָבַלְתְּ פִּתֵּךְ בַּחֹמֶץ וַתֵּשֶׁב מִצַּד הַקֹּוצְרִים וַיִּצְבָּט־לָהּ קָלִי וַתֹּאכַל וַתִּשְׂבַּע וַתֹּתַר׃ |
| 2:15 Luego se levantó para espigar. Y Booz mandó a sus criados, diciendo: Que recoja también espigas entre las gavillas, y no la avergoncéis; |
And when she was risen up to glean, Boaz commanded his young men, saying, Let her glean even among the sheaves, and reproach her not: |
וַתָּקָם לְלַקֵּט וַיְצַו בֹּעַז אֶת־נְעָרָיו לֵאמֹר גַּם בֵּין הָעֳמָרִים תְּלַקֵּט וְלֹא תַכְלִימוּהָ׃ |
| 2:16 y dejaréis también caer para ella algo de los manojos, y lo dejaréis para que lo recoja, y no la reprendáis. |
And let fall also some of the handfuls of purpose for her, and leave them, that she may glean them, and rebuke her not. |
וְגַם שֹׁל־תָּשֹׁלּוּ לָהּ מִן־הַצְּבָתִים וַעֲזַבְתֶּם וְלִקְּטָה וְלֹא תִגְעֲרוּ־בָהּ׃ |
| 2:17 Espigó, pues, en el campo hasta la noche, y desgranó lo que había recogido, y fue como un efa de cebada. |
So she gleaned in the field until even, and beat out that she had gleaned: and it was about an ephah of barley. |
וַתְּלַקֵּט בַּשָּׂדֶה עַד־הָעָרֶב וַתַּחְבֹּט אֵת אֲשֶׁר־לִקֵּטָה וַיְהִי כְּאֵיפָה שְׂעֹרִים׃ |
| 2:18 Y lo tomó, y se fue a la ciudad; y su suegra vio lo que había recogido. Sacó también luego lo que le había sobrado después de haber quedado saciada, y se lo dio. |
And she took it up, and went into the city: and her mother in law saw what she had gleaned: and she brought forth, and gave to her that she had reserved after she was sufficed. |
וַתִּשָּׂא וַתָּבֹוא הָעִיר וַתֵּרֶא חֲמֹותָהּ אֵת אֲשֶׁר־לִקֵּטָה וַתֹּוצֵא וַתִּתֶּן־לָהּ אֵת אֲשֶׁר־הֹותִרָה מִשָּׂבְעָהּ׃ |
| 2:19 Y le dijo su suegra: ¿Dónde has espigado hoy? ¿y dónde has trabajado? Bendito sea el que te ha reconocido. Y contó ella a su suegra con quién había trabajado, y dijo: El nombre del varón con quien hoy he trabajado es Booz. |
And her mother in law said unto her, Where hast thou gleaned to day? and where wroughtest thou? blessed be he that did take knowledge of thee. And she shewed her mother in law with whom she had wrought, and said, The man's name with whom I wrought to day is Boaz. |
וַתֹּאמֶר לָהּ חֲמֹותָהּ אֵיפֹה לִקַּטְתְּ הַיֹּום וְאָנָה עָשִׂית יְהִי מַכִּירֵךְ בָּרוּךְ וַתַּגֵּד לַחֲמֹותָהּ אֵת אֲשֶׁר־עָשְׂתָה עִמֹּו וַתֹּאמֶר שֵׁם הָאִישׁ אֲשֶׁר עָשִׂיתִי עִמֹּו הַיֹּום בֹּעַז׃ |
| 2:20 Y dijo Noemí a su nuera: Sea él bendito de Jehová, pues que no ha rehusado a los vivos la benevolencia que tuvo para con los que han muerto. Después le dijo Noemí: Nuestro pariente es aquel varón, y uno de los que pueden redimirnos. |
And Naomi said unto her daughter in law, Blessed be he of the LORD, who hath not left off his kindness to the living and to the dead. And Naomi said unto her, The man is near of kin unto us, one of our next kinsmen. |
וַתֹּאמֶר נָעֳמִי לְכַלָּתָהּ בָּרוּךְ הוּא לַיהוָה אֲשֶׁר לֹא־עָזַב חַסְדֹּו אֶת־הַחַיִּים וְאֶת־הַמֵּתִים וַתֹּאמֶר לָהּ נָעֳמִי קָרֹוב לָנוּ הָאִישׁ מִגֹּאֲלֵנוּ הוּא׃ |
| 2:21 Y Rut la moabita dijo: Además de esto me ha dicho: Júntate con mis criadas, hasta que hayan acabado toda mi siega. |
And Ruth the Moabitess said, He said unto me also, Thou shalt keep fast by my young men, until they have ended all my harvest. |
וַתֹּאמֶר רוּת הַמֹּואֲבִיָּה גַּם ׀ כִּי־אָמַר אֵלַי עִם־הַנְּעָרִים אֲשֶׁר־לִי תִּדְבָּקִין עַד אִם־כִּלּוּ אֵת כָּל־הַקָּצִיר אֲשֶׁר־לִי׃ |
| 2:22 Y Noemí respondió a Rut su nuera: Mejor es, hija mía, que salgas con sus criadas, y que no te encuentren en otro campo. |
And Naomi said unto Ruth her daughter in law, It is good, my daughter, that thou go out with his maidens, that they meet thee not in any other field. |
וַתֹּאמֶר נָעֳמִי אֶל־רוּת כַּלָּתָהּ טֹוב בִּתִּי כִּי תֵצְאִי עִם־נַעֲרֹותָיו וְלֹא יִפְגְּעוּ־בָךְ בְּשָׂדֶה אַחֵר׃ |
| 2:23 Estuvo, pues, junto con las criadas de Booz espigando, hasta que se acabó la siega de la cebada y la del trigo; y vivía con su suegra. |
So she kept fast by the maidens of Boaz to glean unto the end of barley harvest and of wheat harvest; and dwelt with her mother in law. |
וַתִּדְבַּק בְּנַעֲרֹות בֹּעַז לְלַקֵּט עַד־כְּלֹות קְצִיר־הַשְּׂעֹרִים וּקְצִיר הַחִטִּים וַתֵּשֶׁב אֶת־חֲמֹותָהּ׃ |
| 3:1 Después le dijo su suegra Noemí: Hija mía, ¿no he de buscar hogar para ti, para que te vaya bien? |
Then Naomi her mother in law said unto her, My daughter, shall I not seek rest for thee, that it may be well with thee? |
וַתֹּאמֶר לָהּ נָעֳמִי חֲמֹותָהּ בִּתִּי הֲלֹא אֲבַקֶּשׁ־לָךְ מָנֹוחַ אֲשֶׁר יִיטַב־לָךְ׃ |
| 3:2 ¿No es Booz nuestro pariente, con cuyas criadas tú has estado? He aquí que él avienta esta noche la parva de las cebadas. |
And now is not Boaz of our kindred, with whose maidens thou wast? Behold, he winnoweth barley to night in the threshingfloor. |
וְעַתָּה הֲלֹא בֹעַז מֹדַעְתָּנוּ אֲשֶׁר הָיִית אֶת־נַעֲרֹותָיו הִנֵּה־הוּא זֹרֶה אֶת־גֹּרֶן הַשְּׂעֹרִים הַלָּיְלָה׃ |
| 3:3 Te lavarás, pues, y te ungirás, y vistiéndote tus vestidos, irás a la era; mas no te darás a conocer al varón hasta que él haya acabado de comer y de beber. |
Wash thyself therefore, and anoint thee, and put thy raiment upon thee, and get thee down to the floor: but make not thyself known unto the man, until he shall have done eating and drinking. |
וְרָחַצְתְּ ׀ וָסַכְתְּ וְשַׂמְתְּ [שִׂמְלֹתֵךְ כ] (שִׂמְלֹתַיִךְ ק) עָלַיִךְ [וְיָרַדְתִּי כ] (וְיָרַדְתְּ ק) הַגֹּרֶן אַל־תִּוָּדְעִי לָאִישׁ עַד כַּלֹּתֹו לֶאֱכֹל וְלִשְׁתֹּות׃ |
| 3:4 Y cuando él se acueste, notarás el lugar donde se acuesta, e irás y descubrirás sus pies, y te acostarás allí; y él te dirá lo que hayas de hacer. |
And it shall be, when he lieth down, that thou shalt mark the place where he shall lie, and thou shalt go in, and uncover his feet, and lay thee down; and he will tell thee what thou shalt do. |
וִיהִי בְשָׁכְבֹו וְיָדַעַתְּ אֶת־הַמָּקֹום אֲשֶׁר יִשְׁכַּב־שָׁם וּבָאת וְגִלִּית מַרְגְּלֹתָיו [וְשָׁכָבְתִּי כ] (וְשָׁכָבְתְּ ק) וְהוּא יַגִּיד לָךְ אֵת אֲשֶׁר תַּעֲשִׂין׃ |
| 3:5 Y ella respondió: Haré todo lo que tú me mandes. |
And she said unto her, All that thou sayest unto me I will do. |
וַתֹּאמֶר אֵלֶיהָ כֹּל אֲשֶׁר־תֹּאמְרִי (אֵלַי ק) אֶעֱשֶׂה׃ |
| 3:6 Descendió, pues, a la era, e hizo todo lo que su suegra le había mandado. |
And she went down unto the floor, and did according to all that her mother in law bade her. |
וַתֵּרֶד הַגֹּרֶן וַתַּעַשׂ כְּכֹל אֲשֶׁר־צִוַּתָּה חֲמֹותָהּ׃ |
| 3:7 Y cuando Booz hubo comido y bebido, y su corazón estuvo contento, se retiró a dormir a un lado del montón. Entonces ella vino calladamente, y le descubrió los pies y se acostó. |
And when Boaz had eaten and drunk, and his heart was merry, he went to lie down at the end of the heap of corn: and she came softly, and uncovered his feet, and laid her down. |
וַיֹּאכַל בֹּעַז וַיֵּשְׁתְּ וַיִּיטַב לִבֹּו וַיָּבֹא לִשְׁכַּב בִּקְצֵה הָעֲרֵמָה וַתָּבֹא בַלָּט וַתְּגַל מַרְגְּלֹתָיו וַתִּשְׁכָּב׃ |
| 3:8 Y aconteció que a la medianoche se estremeció aquel hombre, y se volvió; y he aquí, una mujer estaba acostada a sus pies. |
And it came to pass at midnight, that the man was afraid, and turned himself: and, behold, a woman lay at his feet. |
וַיְהִי בַּחֲצִי הַלַּיְלָה וַיֶּחֱרַד הָאִישׁ וַיִּלָּפֵת וְהִנֵּה אִשָּׁה שֹׁכֶבֶת מַרְגְּלֹתָיו׃ |
| 3:9 Entonces él dijo: ¿Quién eres? Y ella respondió: Yo soy Rut tu sierva; extiende el borde de tu capa sobre tu sierva, por cuanto eres pariente cercano. |
And he said, Who art thou? And she answered, I am Ruth thine handmaid: spread therefore thy skirt over thine handmaid; for thou art a near kinsman. |
וַיֹּאמֶר מִי־אָתּ וַתֹּאמֶר אָנֹכִי רוּת אֲמָתֶךָ וּפָרַשְׂתָּ כְנָפֶךָ עַל־אֲמָתְךָ כִּי גֹאֵל אָתָּה׃ |
| 3:10 Y él dijo: Bendita seas tú de Jehová, hija mía; has hecho mejor tu postrera bondad que la primera, no yendo en busca de los jóvenes, sean pobres o ricos. |
And he said, Blessed be thou of the LORD, my daughter: for thou hast shewed more kindness in the latter end than at the beginning, inasmuch as thou followedst not young men, whether poor or rich. |
וַיֹּאמֶר בְּרוּכָה אַתְּ לַיהוָה בִּתִּי הֵיטַבְתְּ חַסְדֵּךְ הָאַחֲרֹון מִן־הָרִאשֹׁון לְבִלְתִּי־לֶכֶת אַחֲרֵי הַבַּחוּרִים אִם־דַּל וְאִם־עָשִׁיר׃ |
| 3:11 Ahora pues, no temas, hija mía; yo haré contigo lo que tú digas, pues toda la gente de mi pueblo sabe que eres mujer virtuosa. |
And now, my daughter, fear not; I will do to thee all that thou requirest: for all the city of my people doth know that thou art a virtuous woman. |
וְעַתָּה בִּתִּי אַל־תִּירְאִי כֹּל אֲשֶׁר־תֹּאמְרִי אֶעֱשֶׂה־לָּךְ כִּי יֹודֵעַ כָּל־שַׁעַר עַמִּי כִּי אֵשֶׁת חַיִל אָתְּ׃ |
| 3:12 Y ahora, aunque es cierto que yo soy pariente cercano, con todo eso hay pariente más cercano que yo. |
And now it is true that I am thy near kinsman: howbeit there is a kinsman nearer than I. |
וְעַתָּה כִּי אָמְנָם כִּי [אִם כ] גֹאֵל אָנֹכִי וְגַם יֵשׁ גֹּאֵל קָרֹוב מִמֶּנִּי׃ |
| 3:13 Pasa aquí la noche, y cuando sea de día, si él te redimiere, bien, redímate; mas si él no te quisiere redimir, yo te redimiré, vive Jehová. Descansa, pues, hasta la mañana. |
Tarry this night, and it shall be in the morning, that if he will perform unto thee the part of a kinsman, well; let him do the kinsman's part: but if he will not do the part of a kinsman to thee, then will I do the part of a kinsman to thee, as the LORD liveth: lie down until the morning. |
לִינִי ׀ הַלַּיְלָה וְהָיָה בַבֹּקֶר אִם־יִגְאָלֵךְ טֹוב יִגְאָל וְאִם־לֹא יַחְפֹּץ לְגָאֳלֵךְ וּגְאַלְתִּיךְ אָנֹכִי חַי־יְהוָה שִׁכְבִי עַד־הַבֹּקֶר׃ |
| 3:14 Y después que durmió a sus pies hasta la mañana, se levantó antes que los hombres pudieran reconocerse unos a otros; porque él dijo: No se sepa que vino mujer a la era. |
And she lay at his feet until the morning: and she rose up before one could know another. And he said, Let it not be known that a woman came into the floor. |
וַתִּשְׁכַּב [מַרְגְּלָתַו כ] (מַרְגְּלֹותָיו ק) עַד־הַבֹּקֶר וַתָּקָם [בִּטְרֹום כ] (בְּטֶרֶם ק) יַכִּיר אִישׁ אֶת־רֵעֵהוּ וַיֹּאמֶר אַל־יִוָּדַע כִּי־בָאָה הָאִשָּׁה הַגֹּרֶן׃ |
| 3:15 Después le dijo: Quítate el manto que traes sobre ti, y tenlo. Y teniéndolo ella, él midió seis medidas de cebada, y se las puso encima; y ella se fue a la ciudad. |
Also he said, Bring the vail that thou hast upon thee, and hold it. And when she held it, he measured six measures of barley, and laid it on her: and she went into the city. |
וַיֹּאמֶר הָבִי הַמִּטְפַּחַת אֲשֶׁר־עָלַיִךְ וְאֶחֳזִי־בָהּ וַתֹּאחֶז בָּהּ וַיָּמָד שֵׁשׁ־שְׂעֹרִים וַיָּשֶׁת עָלֶיהָ וַיָּבֹא הָעִיר׃ |
| 3:16 Y cuando llegó a donde estaba su suegra, ésta le dijo: ¿Qué hay, hija mía? Y le contó ella todo lo que con aquel varón le había acontecido. |
And when she came to her mother in law, she said, Who art thou, my daughter? And she told her all that the man had done to her. |
וַתָּבֹוא אֶל־חֲמֹותָהּ וַתֹּאמֶר מִי־אַתְּ בִּתִּי וַתַּגֶּד־לָהּ אֵת כָּל־אֲשֶׁר עָשָׂה־לָהּ הָאִישׁ׃ |
| 3:17 Y dijo: Estas seis medidas de cebada me dio, diciéndome: A fin de que no vayas a tu suegra con las manos vacías. |
And she said, These six measures of barley gave he me; for he said to me, Go not empty unto thy mother in law. |
וַתֹּאמֶר שֵׁשׁ־הַשְּׂעֹרִים הָאֵלֶּה נָתַן לִי כִּי אָמַר (אֵלַי ק) אַל־תָּבֹואִי רֵיקָם אֶל־חֲמֹותֵךְ׃ |
| 3:18 Entonces Noemí dijo: Espérate, hija mía, hasta que sepas cómo se resuelve el asunto; porque aquel hombre no descansará hasta que concluya el asunto hoy. |
Then said she, Sit still, my daughter, until thou know how the matter will fall: for the man will not be in rest, until he have finished the thing this day. |
וַתֹּאמֶר שְׁבִי בִתִּי עַד אֲשֶׁר תֵּדְעִין אֵיךְ יִפֹּל דָּבָר כִּי לֹא יִשְׁקֹט הָאִישׁ כִּי־אִם־כִּלָּה הַדָּבָר הַיֹּום׃ |
| 4:1 Booz subió a la puerta y se sentó allí; y he aquí pasaba aquel pariente de quien Booz había hablado, y le dijo: Eh, fulano, ven acá y siéntate. Y él vino y se sentó. |
Then went Boaz up to the gate, and sat him down there: and, behold, the kinsman of whom Boaz spake came by; unto whom he said, Ho, such a one! turn aside, sit down here. And he turned aside, and sat down. |
וּבֹעַז עָלָה הַשַּׁעַר וַיֵּשֶׁב שָׁם וְהִנֵּה הַגֹּאֵל עֹבֵר אֲשֶׁר דִּבֶּר־בֹּעַז וַיֹּאמֶר סוּרָה שְׁבָה־פֹּה פְּלֹנִי אַלְמֹנִי וַיָּסַר וַיֵּשֵׁב׃ |
| 4:2 Entonces él tomó a diez varones de los ancianos de la ciudad, y dijo: Sentaos aquí. Y ellos se sentaron. |
And he took ten men of the elders of the city, and said, Sit ye down here. And they sat down. |
וַיִּקַּח עֲשָׂרָה אֲנָשִׁים מִזִּקְנֵי הָעִיר וַיֹּאמֶר שְׁבוּ־פֹה וַיֵּשֵׁבוּ׃ |
| 4:3 Luego dijo al pariente: Noemí, que ha vuelto del campo de Moab, vende una parte de las tierras que tuvo nuestro hermano Elimelec. |
And he said unto the kinsman, Naomi, that is come again out of the country of Moab, selleth a parcel of land, which was our brother Elimelech's: |
וַיֹּאמֶר לַגֹּאֵל חֶלְקַת הַשָּׂדֶה אֲשֶׁר לְאָחִינוּ לֶאֱלִימֶלֶךְ מָכְרָה נָעֳמִי הַשָּׁבָה מִשְּׂדֵה מֹואָב׃ |
| 4:4 Y yo decidí hacértelo saber, y decirte que la compres en presencia de los que están aquí sentados, y de los ancianos de mi pueblo. Si tú quieres redimir, redime; y si no quieres redimir, decláramelo para que yo lo sepa; porque no hay otro que redima sino tú, y yo después de ti. Y él respondió: Yo redimiré. |
And I thought to advertise thee, saying, Buy it before the inhabitants, and before the elders of my people. If thou wilt redeem it, redeem it: but if thou wilt not redeem it, then tell me, that I may know: for there is none to redeem it beside thee; and I am after thee. And he said, I will redeem it. |
וַאֲנִי אָמַרְתִּי אֶגְלֶה אָזְנְךָ לֵאמֹר קְנֵה נֶגֶד הַיֹּשְׁבִים וְנֶגֶד זִקְנֵי עַמִּי אִם־תִּגְאַל גְּאָל וְאִם־לֹא יִגְאַל הַגִּידָה לִּי [וְאֵדַע כ] (וְאֵדְעָה ק) כִּי אֵין זוּלָתְךָ לִגְאֹול וְאָנֹכִי אַחֲרֶיךָ וַיֹּאמֶר אָנֹכִי אֶגְאָל׃ |
| 4:5 Entonces replicó Booz: El mismo día que compres las tierras de mano de Noemí, debes tomar también a Rut la moabita, mujer del difunto, para que restaures el nombre del muerto sobre su posesión. |
Then said Boaz, What day thou buyest the field of the hand of Naomi, thou must buy it also of Ruth the Moabitess, the wife of the dead, to raise up the name of the dead upon his inheritance. |
וַיֹּאמֶר בֹּעַז בְּיֹום־קְנֹותְךָ הַשָּׂדֶה מִיַּד נָעֳמִי וּמֵאֵת רוּת הַמֹּואֲבִיָּה אֵשֶׁת־הַמֵּת [קָנִיתִי כ] (קָנִיתָה ק) לְהָקִים שֵׁם־הַמֵּת עַל־נַחֲלָתֹו׃ |
| 4:6 Y respondió el pariente: No puedo redimir para mí, no sea que dañe mi heredad. Redime tú, usando de mi derecho, porque yo no podré redimir. |
And the kinsman said, I cannot redeem it for myself, lest I mar mine own inheritance: redeem thou my right to thyself; for I cannot redeem it. |
וַיֹּאמֶר הַגֹּאֵל לֹא אוּכַל [לִגְאֹול־ כ] (לִגְאָל־לִי ק) פֶּן־אַשְׁחִית אֶת־נַחֲלָתִי גְּאַל־לְךָ אַתָּה אֶת־גְּאֻלָּתִי כִּי לֹא־אוּכַל לִגְאֹל׃ |
| 4:7 Había ya desde hacía tiempo esta costumbre en Israel tocante a la redención y al contrato, que para la confirmación de cualquier negocio, el uno se quitaba el zapato y lo daba a su compañero; y esto servía de testimonio en Israel. |
Now this was the manner in former time in Israel concerning redeeming and concerning changing, for to confirm all things; a man plucked off his shoe, and gave it to his neighbour: and this was a testimony in Israel. |
וְזֹאת לְפָנִים בְּיִשְׂרָאֵל עַל־הַגְּאוּלָּה וְעַל־הַתְּמוּרָה לְקַיֵּם כָּל־דָּבָר שָׁלַף אִישׁ נַעֲלֹו וְנָתַן לְרֵעֵהוּ וְזֹאת הַתְּעוּדָה בְּיִשְׂרָאֵל׃ |
| 4:8 Entonces el pariente dijo a Booz: Tómalo tú. Y se quitó el zapato. |
Therefore the kinsman said unto Boaz, Buy it for thee. So he drew off his shoe. |
וַיֹּאמֶר הַגֹּאֵל לְבֹעַז קְנֵה־לָךְ וַיִּשְׁלֹף נַעֲלֹו׃ |
| 4:9 Y Booz dijo a los ancianos y a todo el pueblo: Vosotros sois testigos hoy, de que he adquirido de mano de Noemí todo lo que fue de Elimelec, y todo lo que fue de Quelión y de Mahlón. |
And Boaz said unto the elders, and unto all the people, Ye are witnesses this day, that I have bought all that was Elimelech's, and all that was Chilion's and Mahlon's, of the hand of Naomi. |
וַיֹּאמֶר בֹּעַז לַזְּקֵנִים וְכָל־הָעָם עֵדִים אַתֶּם הַיֹּום כִּי קָנִיתִי אֶת־כָּל־אֲשֶׁר לֶאֱלִימֶלֶךְ וְאֵת כָּל־אֲשֶׁר לְכִלְיֹון וּמַחְלֹון מִיַּד נָעֳמִי׃ |
| 4:10 Y que también tomo por mi mujer a Rut la moabita, mujer de Mahlón, para restaurar el nombre del difunto sobre su heredad, para que el nombre del muerto no se borre de entre sus hermanos y de la puerta de su lugar. Vosotros sois testigos hoy. |
Moreover Ruth the Moabitess, the wife of Mahlon, have I purchased to be my wife, to raise up the name of the dead upon his inheritance, that the name of the dead be not cut off from among his brethren, and from the gate of his place: ye are witnesses this day. |
וְגַם אֶת־רוּת הַמֹּאֲבִיָּה אֵשֶׁת מַחְלֹון קָנִיתִי לִי לְאִשָּׁה לְהָקִים שֵׁם־הַמֵּת עַל־נַחֲלָתֹו וְלֹא־יִכָּרֵת שֵׁם־הַמֵּת מֵעִם אֶחָיו וּמִשַּׁעַר מְקֹומֹו עֵדִים אַתֶּם הַיֹּום׃ |
| 4:11 Y dijeron todos los del pueblo que estaban a la puerta con los ancianos: Testigos somos. Jehová haga a la mujer que entra en tu casa como a Raquel y a Lea, las cuales edificaron la casa de Israel; y tú seas ilustre en Efrata, y seas de renombre en Belén. |
And all the people that were in the gate, and the elders, said, We are witnesses. The LORD make the woman that is come into thine house like Rachel and like Leah, which two did build the house of Israel: and do thou worthily in Ephratah, and be famous in Bethlehem: |
וַיֹּאמְרוּ כָּל־הָעָם אֲשֶׁר־בַּשַּׁעַר וְהַזְּקֵנִים עֵדִים יִתֵּן יְהוָה אֶת־הָאִשָּׁה הַבָּאָה אֶל־בֵּיתֶךָ כְּרָחֵל ׀ וּכְלֵאָה אֲשֶׁר בָּנוּ שְׁתֵּיהֶם אֶת־בֵּית יִשְׂרָאֵל וַעֲשֵׂה־חַיִל בְּאֶפְרָתָה וּקְרָא־שֵׁם בְּבֵית לָחֶם׃ |
| 4:12 Y sea tu casa como la casa de Fares, el que Tamar dio a luz a Judá, por la descendencia que de esa joven te dé Jehová. |
And let thy house be like the house of Pharez, whom Tamar bare unto Judah, of the seed which the LORD shall give thee of this young woman. |
וִיהִי בֵיתְךָ כְּבֵית פֶּרֶץ אֲשֶׁר־יָלְדָה תָמָר לִיהוּדָה מִן־הַזֶּרַע אֲשֶׁר יִתֵּן יְהוָה לְךָ מִן־הַנַּעֲרָה הַזֹּאת׃ |
| 4:13 Booz, pues, tomó a Rut, y ella fue su mujer; y se llegó a ella, y Jehová le dio que concibiese y diese a luz un hijo. |
So Boaz took Ruth, and she was his wife: and when he went in unto her, the LORD gave her conception, and she bare a son. |
וַיִּקַּח בֹּעַז אֶת־רוּת וַתְּהִי־לֹו לְאִשָּׁה וַיָּבֹא אֵלֶיהָ וַיִּתֵּן יְהוָה לָהּ הֵרָיֹון וַתֵּלֶד בֵּן׃ |
| 4:14 Y las mujeres decían a Noemí: Loado sea Jehová, que hizo que no te faltase hoy pariente, cuyo nombre será celebrado en Israel; |
And the women said unto Naomi, Blessed be the LORD, which hath not left thee this day without a kinsman, that his name may be famous in Israel. |
וַתֹּאמַרְנָה הַנָּשִׁים אֶל־נָעֳמִי בָּרוּךְ יְהוָה אֲשֶׁר לֹא הִשְׁבִּית לָךְ גֹּאֵל הַיֹּום וְיִקָּרֵא שְׁמֹו בְּיִשְׂרָאֵל׃ |
| 4:15 el cual será restaurador de tu alma, y sustentará tu vejez; pues tu nuera, que te ama, lo ha dado a luz; y ella es de más valor para ti que siete hijos. |
And he shall be unto thee a restorer of thy life, and a nourisher of thine old age: for thy daughter in law, which loveth thee, which is better to thee than seven sons, hath born him. |
וְהָיָה לָךְ לְמֵשִׁיב נֶפֶשׁ וּלְכַלְכֵּל אֶת־שֵׂיבָתֵךְ כִּי כַלָּתֵךְ אֲשֶׁר־אֲהֵבַתֶךְ יְלָדַתּוּ אֲשֶׁר־הִיא טֹובָה לָךְ מִשִּׁבְעָה בָּנִים׃ |
| 4:16 Y tomando Noemí el hijo, lo puso en su regazo, y fue su aya. |
And Naomi took the child, and laid it in her bosom, and became nurse unto it. |
וַתִּקַּח נָעֳמִי אֶת־הַיֶּלֶד וַתְּשִׁתֵהוּ בְחֵיקָהּ וַתְּהִי־לֹו לְאֹמֶנֶת׃ |
| 4:17 Y le dieron nombre las vecinas, diciendo: Le ha nacido un hijo a Noemí; y lo llamaron Obed. Este es padre de Isaí, padre de David. |
And the women her neighbours gave it a name, saying, There is a son born to Naomi; and they called his name Obed: he is the father of Jesse, the father of David. |
וַתִּקְרֶאנָה לֹו הַשְּׁכֵנֹות שֵׁם לֵאמֹר יֻלַּד־בֵּן לְנָעֳמִי וַתִּקְרֶאנָה שְׁמֹו עֹובֵד הוּא אֲבִי־יִשַׁי אֲבִי דָוִד׃ פ |
| 4:18 Estas son las generaciones de Fares: Fares engendró a Hezrón, |
Now these are the generations of Pharez: Pharez begat Hezron, |
וְאֵלֶּה תֹּולְדֹות פָּרֶץ פֶּרֶץ הֹולִיד אֶת־חֶצְרֹון׃ |
| 4:19 Hezrón engendró a Ram, y Ram engendró a Aminadab, |
And Hezron begat Ram, and Ram begat Amminadab, |
וְחֶצְרֹון הֹולִיד אֶת־רָם וְרָם הֹולִיד אֶת־עַמִּינָדָב׃ |
| 4:20 Aminadab engendró a Naasón, y Naasón engendró a Salmón, |
And Amminadab begat Nahshon, and Nahshon begat Salmon, |
וְעַמִּינָדָב הֹולִיד אֶת־נַחְשֹׁון וְנַחְשֹׁון הֹולִיד אֶת־שַׂלְמָה׃ |
| 4:21 Salmón engendró a Booz, y Booz engendró a Obed, |
And Salmon begat Boaz, and Boaz begat Obed, |
וְשַׂלְמֹון הֹולִיד אֶת־בֹּעַז וּבֹעַז הֹולִיד אֶת־עֹובֵד׃ |
| 4:22 Obed engendró a Isaí, e Isaí engendró a David. |
And Obed begat Jesse, and Jesse begat David. |
וְעֹבֵד הֹולִיד אֶת־יִשָׁי וְיִשַׁי הֹולִיד אֶת־דָּוִד׃ |
