| 1:1 En el año segundo del rey Darío, en el mes sexto, en el primer día del mes, vino palabra de Jehová por medio del profeta Hageo a Zorobabel hijo de Salatiel, gobernador de Judá, y a Josué hijo de Josadac, sumo sacerdote, diciendo: |
In the second year of Darius the king, in the sixth month, in the first day of the month, came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet unto Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, saying, |
בִּשְׁנַת שְׁתַּיִם לְדָרְיָוֶשׁ הַמֶּלֶךְ בַּחֹדֶשׁ הַשִּׁשִּׁי בְּיֹום אֶחָד לַחֹדֶשׁ הָיָה דְבַר־יְהוָה בְּיַד־חַגַּי הַנָּבִיא אֶל־זְרֻבָּבֶל בֶּן־שְׁאַלְתִּיאֵל פַּחַת יְהוּדָה וְאֶל־יְהֹושֻׁעַ בֶּן־יְהֹוצָדָק הַכֹּהֵן הַגָּדֹול לֵאמֹר׃ |
| 1:2 Así ha hablado Jehová de los ejércitos, diciendo: Este pueblo dice: No ha llegado aún el tiempo, el tiempo de que la casa de Jehová sea reedificada. |
Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, This people say, The time is not come, the time that the LORD'S house should be built. |
כֹּה אָמַר יְהוָה צְבָאֹות לֵאמֹר הָעָם הַזֶּה אָמְרוּ לֹא עֶת־בֹּא עֶת־בֵּית יְהוָה לְהִבָּנֹות׃ פ |
| 1:3 Entonces vino palabra de Jehová por medio del profeta Hageo, diciendo: |
Then came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet, saying, |
וַיְהִי דְּבַר־יְהוָה בְּיַד־חַגַּי הַנָּבִיא לֵאמֹר׃ |
| 1:4 ¿Es para vosotros tiempo, para vosotros, de habitar en vuestras casas artesonadas, y esta casa está desierta? |
Is it time for you, O ye, to dwell in your cieled houses, and this house lie waste? |
הַעֵת לָכֶם אַתֶּם לָשֶׁבֶת בְּבָתֵּיכֶם סְפוּנִים וְהַבַּיִת הַזֶּה חָרֵב׃ |
| 1:5 Pues así ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos: Meditad bien sobre vuestros caminos. |
Now therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways. |
וְעַתָּה כֹּה אָמַר יְהוָה צְבָאֹות שִׂימוּ לְבַבְכֶם עַל־דַּרְכֵיכֶם׃ |
| 1:6 Sembráis mucho, y recogéis poco; coméis, y no os saciáis; bebéis, y no quedáis satisfechos; os vestís, y no os calentáis; y el que trabaja a jornal recibe su jornal en saco roto. |
Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages earneth wages to put it into a bag with holes. |
זְרַעְתֶּם הַרְבֵּה וְהָבֵא מְעָט אָכֹול וְאֵין־לְשָׂבְעָה שָׁתֹו וְאֵין־לְשָׁכְרָה לָבֹושׁ וְאֵין־לְחֹם לֹו וְהַמִּשְׂתַּכֵּר מִשְׂתַּכֵּר אֶל־צְרֹור נָקוּב׃ פ |
| 1:7 Así ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos: Meditad sobre vuestros caminos. |
Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways. |
כֹּה אָמַר יְהוָה צְבָאֹות שִׂימוּ לְבַבְכֶם עַל־דַּרְכֵיכֶם׃ |
| 1:8 Subid al monte, y traed madera, y reedificad la casa; y pondré en ella mi voluntad, y seré glorificado, ha dicho Jehová. |
Go up to the mountain, and bring wood, and build the house; and I will take pleasure in it, and I will be glorified, saith the LORD. |
עֲלוּ הָהָר וַהֲבֵאתֶם עֵץ וּבְנוּ הַבָּיִת וְאֶרְצֶה־בֹּו [וְאֶכָּבֵד כ] (וְאֶכָּבְדָה ק) אָמַר יְהוָה׃ |
| 1:9 Buscáis mucho, y halláis poco; y encerráis en casa, y yo lo disiparé en un soplo. ¿Por qué? dice Jehová de los ejércitos. Por cuanto mi casa está desierta, y cada uno de vosotros corre a su propia casa. |
Ye looked for much, and, lo, it came to little; and when ye brought it home, I did blow upon it. Why? saith the LORD of hosts. Because of mine house that is waste, and ye run every man unto his own house. |
פָּנֹה אֶל־הַרְבֵּה וְהִנֵּה לִמְעָט וַהֲבֵאתֶם הַבַּיִת וְנָפַחְתִּי בֹו יַעַן מֶה נְאֻם יְהוָה צְבָאֹות יַעַן בֵּיתִי אֲשֶׁר־הוּא חָרֵב וְאַתֶּם רָצִים אִישׁ לְבֵיתֹו׃ |
| 1:10 Por eso se detuvo de los cielos sobre vosotros la lluvia, y la tierra detuvo sus frutos. |
Therefore the heaven over you is stayed from dew, and the earth is stayed from her fruit. |
עַל־כֵּן עֲלֵיכֶם כָּלְאוּ שָׁמַיִם מִטָּל וְהָאָרֶץ כָּלְאָה יְבוּלָהּ׃ |
| 1:11 Y llamé la sequía sobre esta tierra, y sobre los montes, sobre el trigo, sobre el vino, sobre el aceite, sobre todo lo que la tierra produce, sobre los hombres y sobre las bestias, y sobre todo trabajo de manos. |
And I called for a drought upon the land, and upon the mountains, and upon the corn, and upon the new wine, and upon the oil, and upon that which the ground bringeth forth, and upon men, and upon cattle, and upon all the labour of the hands. |
וָאֶקְרָא חֹרֶב עַל־הָאָרֶץ וְעַל־הֶהָרִים וְעַל־הַדָּגָן וְעַל־הַתִּירֹושׁ וְעַל־הַיִּצְהָר וְעַל אֲשֶׁר תֹּוצִיא הָאֲדָמָה וְעַל־הָאָדָם וְעַל־הַבְּהֵמָה וְעַל כָּל־יְגִיעַ כַּפָּיִם׃ ס |
| 1:12 Y oyó Zorobabel hijo de Salatiel, y Josué hijo de Josadac, sumo sacerdote, y todo el resto del pueblo, la voz de Jehová su Dios, y las palabras del profeta Hageo, como le había enviado Jehová su Dios; y temió el pueblo delante de Jehová. |
Then Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, with all the remnant of the people, obeyed the voice of the LORD their God, and the words of Haggai the prophet, as the LORD their God had sent him, and the people did fear before the LORD. |
וַיִּשְׁמַע זְרֻבָּבֶל בֶּן־שַׁלְתִּיאֵל וִיהֹושֻׁעַ בֶּן־יְהֹוצָדָק הַכֹּהֵן הַגָּדֹול וְכֹל שְׁאֵרִית הָעָם בְּקֹול יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵיהֶם וְעַל־דִּבְרֵי חַגַּי הַנָּבִיא כַּאֲשֶׁר שְׁלָחֹו יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵיהֶם וַיִּירְאוּ הָעָם מִפְּנֵי יְהוָה׃ |
| 1:13 Entonces Hageo, enviado de Jehová, habló por mandato de Jehová al pueblo, diciendo: Yo estoy con vosotros, dice Jehová. |
Then spake Haggai the LORD'S messenger in the LORD'S message unto the people, saying, I am with you, saith the LORD. |
וַיֹּאמֶר חַגַּי מַלְאַךְ יְהוָה בְּמַלְאֲכוּת יְהוָה לָעָם לֵאמֹר אֲנִי אִתְּכֶם נְאֻם־יְהוָה׃ |
| 1:14 Y despertó Jehová el espíritu de Zorobabel hijo de Salatiel, gobernador de Judá, y el espíritu de Josué hijo de Josadac, sumo sacerdote, y el espíritu de todo el resto del pueblo; y vinieron y trabajaron en la casa de Jehová de los ejércitos, su Dios, |
And the LORD stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people; and they came and did work in the house of the LORD of hosts, their God, |
וַיָּעַר יְהוָה אֶת־רוּחַ זְרֻבָּבֶל בֶּן־שַׁלְתִּיאֵל פַּחַת יְהוּדָה וְאֶת־רוּחַ יְהֹושֻׁעַ בֶּן־יְהֹוצָדָק הַכֹּהֵן הַגָּדֹול וְאֶת־רוּחַ כֹּל שְׁאֵרִית הָעָם וַיָּבֹאוּ וַיַּעֲשׂוּ מְלָאכָה בְּבֵית־יְהוָה צְבָאֹות אֱלֹהֵיהֶם׃ פ |
| 1:15 en el día veinticuatro del mes sexto, en el segundo año del rey Darío. |
In the four and twentieth day of the sixth month, in the second year of Darius the king. |
בְּיֹום עֶשְׂרִים וְאַרְבָּעָה לַחֹדֶשׁ בַּשִּׁשִּׁי בִּשְׁנַת שְׁתַּיִם לְדָרְיָוֶשׁ הַמֶּלֶךְ׃ |
| 2:1 En el mes séptimo, a los veintiún días del mes, vino palabra de Jehová por medio del profeta Hageo, diciendo: |
In the seventh month, in the one and twentieth day of the month, came the word of the LORD by the prophet Haggai, saying, |
בַּשְּׁבִיעִי בְּעֶשְׂרִים וְאֶחָד לַחֹדֶשׁ הָיָה דְּבַר־יְהוָה בְּיַד־חַגַּי הַנָּבִיא לֵאמֹר׃ |
| 2:2 Habla ahora a Zorobabel hijo de Salatiel, gobernador de Judá, y a Josué hijo de Josadac, sumo sacerdote, y al resto del pueblo, diciendo: |
Speak now to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, and to the residue of the people, saying, |
אֱמָר־נָא אֶל־זְרֻבָּבֶל בֶּן־שַׁלְתִּיאֵל פַּחַת יְהוּדָה וְאֶל־יְהֹושֻׁעַ בֶּן־יְהֹוצָדָק הַכֹּהֵן הַגָּדֹול וְאֶל־שְׁאֵרִית הָעָם לֵאמֹר׃ |
| 2:3 ¿Quién ha quedado entre vosotros que haya visto esta casa en su gloria primera, y cómo la veis ahora? ¿No es ella como nada delante de vuestros ojos? |
Who is left among you that saw this house in her first glory? and how do ye see it now? is it not in your eyes in comparison of it as nothing? |
מִי בָכֶם הַנִּשְׁאָר אֲשֶׁר רָאָה אֶת־הַבַּיִת הַזֶּה בִּכְבֹודֹו הָרִאשֹׁון וּמָה אַתֶּם רֹאִים אֹתֹו עַתָּה הֲלֹוא כָמֹהוּ כְּאַיִן בְּעֵינֵיכֶם׃ |
| 2:4 Pues ahora, Zorobabel, esfuérzate, dice Jehová; esfuérzate también, Josué hijo de Josadac, sumo sacerdote; y cobrad ánimo, pueblo todo de la tierra, dice Jehová, y trabajad; porque yo estoy con vosotros, dice Jehová de los ejércitos. |
Yet now be strong, O Zerubbabel, saith the LORD; and be strong, O Joshua, son of Josedech, the high priest; and be strong, all ye people of the land, saith the LORD, and work: for I am with you, saith the LORD of hosts: |
וְעַתָּה חֲזַק זְרֻבָּבֶל נְאֻם־יְהוָה וַחֲזַק יְהֹושֻׁעַ בֶּן־יְהֹוצָדָק הַכֹּהֵן הַגָּדֹול וַחֲזַק כָּל־עַם הָאָרֶץ נְאֻם־יְהוָה וַעֲשׂוּ כִּי־אֲנִי אִתְּכֶם נְאֻם יְהוָה צְבָאֹות׃ |
| 2:5 Según el pacto que hice con vosotros cuando salisteis de Egipto, así mi Espíritu estará en medio de vosotros, no temáis. |
According to the word that I covenanted with you when ye came out of Egypt, so my spirit remaineth among you: fear ye not. |
אֶת־הַדָּבָר אֲשֶׁר־כָּרַתִּי אִתְּכֶם בְּצֵאתְכֶם מִמִּצְרַיִם וְרוּחִי עֹמֶדֶת בְּתֹוכְכֶם אַל־תִּירָאוּ׃ ס |
| 2:6 Porque así dice Jehová de los ejércitos: De aquí a poco yo haré temblar los cielos y la tierra, el mar y la tierra seca; |
For thus saith the LORD of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land; |
כִּי כֹה אָמַר יְהוָה צְבָאֹות עֹוד אַחַת מְעַט הִיא וַאֲנִי מַרְעִישׁ אֶת־הַשָּׁמַיִם וְאֶת־הָאָרֶץ וְאֶת־הַיָּם וְאֶת־הֶחָרָבָה׃ |
| 2:7 y haré temblar a todas las naciones, y vendrá el Deseado de todas las naciones; y llenaré de gloria esta casa, ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos. |
And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the LORD of hosts. |
וְהִרְעַשְׁתִּי אֶת־כָּל־הַגֹּויִם וּבָאוּ חֶמְדַּת כָּל־הַגֹּויִם וּמִלֵּאתִי אֶת־הַבַּיִת הַזֶּה כָּבֹוד אָמַר יְהוָה צְבָאֹות׃ |
| 2:8 Mía es la plata, y mío es el oro, dice Jehová de los ejércitos. |
The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the LORD of hosts. |
לִי הַכֶּסֶף וְלִי הַזָּהָב נְאֻם יְהוָה צְבָאֹות׃ |
| 2:9 La gloria postrera de esta casa será mayor que la primera, ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos; y daré paz en este lugar, dice Jehová de los ejércitos. |
The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the LORD of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the LORD of hosts. |
גָּדֹול יִהְיֶה כְּבֹוד הַבַּיִת הַזֶּה הָאַחֲרֹון מִן־הָרִאשֹׁון אָמַר יְהוָה צְבָאֹות וּבַמָּקֹום הַזֶּה אֶתֵּן שָׁלֹום נְאֻם יְהוָה צְבָאֹות׃ פ |
| 2:10 A los veinticuatro días del noveno mes, en el segundo año de Darío, vino palabra de Jehová por medio del profeta Hageo, diciendo: |
In the four and twentieth day of the ninth month, in the second year of Darius, came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet, saying, |
בְּעֶשְׂרִים וְאַרְבָּעָה לַתְּשִׁיעִי בִּשְׁנַת שְׁתַּיִם לְדָרְיָוֶשׁ הָיָה דְּבַר־יְהוָה אֶל־חַגַּי הַנָּבִיא לֵאמֹר׃ |
| 2:11 Así ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos: Pregunta ahora a los sacerdotes acerca de la ley, diciendo: |
Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Ask now the priests concerning the law, saying, |
כֹּה אָמַר יְהוָה צְבָאֹות שְׁאַל־נָא אֶת־הַכֹּהֲנִים תֹּורָה לֵאמֹר׃ |
| 2:12 Si alguno llevare carne santificada en la falda de su ropa, y con el vuelo de ella tocare pan, o vianda, o vino, o aceite, o cualquier otra comida, ¿será santificada? Y respondieron los sacerdotes y dijeron: No. |
If one bear holy flesh in the skirt of his garment, and with his skirt do touch bread, or pottage, or wine, or oil, or any meat, shall it be holy? And the priests answered and said, No. |
הֵן יִשָּׂא־אִישׁ בְּשַׂר־קֹדֶשׁ בִּכְנַף בִּגְדֹו וְנָגַע בִּכְנָפֹו אֶל־הַלֶּחֶם וְאֶל־הַנָּזִיד וְאֶל־הַיַּיִן וְאֶל־שֶׁמֶן וְאֶל־כָּל־מַאֲכָל הֲיִקְדָּשׁ וַיַּעֲנוּ הַכֹּהֲנִים וַיֹּאמְרוּ לֹא׃ |
| 2:13 Y dijo Hageo: Si un inmundo a causa de cuerpo muerto tocare alguna cosa de estas, ¿será inmunda? Y respondieron los sacerdotes, y dijeron: Inmunda será. |
Then said Haggai, If one that is unclean by a dead body touch any of these, shall it be unclean? And the priests answered and said, It shall be unclean. |
וַיֹּאמֶר חַגַּי אִם־יִגַּע טְמֵא־נֶפֶשׁ בְּכָל־אֵלֶּה הֲיִטְמָא וַיַּעֲנוּ הַכֹּהֲנִים וַיֹּאמְרוּ יִטְמָא׃ |
| 2:14 Y respondió Hageo y dijo: Así es este pueblo y esta gente delante de mí, dice Jehová; y asimismo toda obra de sus manos; y todo lo que aquí ofrecen es inmundo. |
Then answered Haggai, and said, So is this people, and so is this nation before me, saith the LORD; and so is every work of their hands; and that which they offer there is unclean. |
וַיַּעַן חַגַּי וַיֹּאמֶר כֵּן הָעָם־הַזֶּה וְכֵן־הַגֹּוי הַזֶּה לְפָנַי נְאֻם־יְהוָה וְכֵן כָּל־מַעֲשֵׂה יְדֵיהֶם וַאֲשֶׁר יַקְרִיבוּ שָׁם טָמֵא הוּא׃ |
| 2:15 Ahora, pues, meditad en vuestro corazón desde este día en adelante, antes que pongan piedra sobre piedra en el templo de Jehová. |
And now, I pray you, consider from this day and upward, from before a stone was laid upon a stone in the temple of the LORD: |
וְעַתָּה שִׂימוּ־נָא לְבַבְכֶם מִן־הַיֹּום הַזֶּה וָמָעְלָה מִטֶּרֶם שׂוּם־אֶבֶן אֶל־אֶבֶן בְּהֵיכַל יְהוָה׃ |
| 2:16 Antes que sucediesen estas cosas, venían al montón de veinte efas, y había diez; venían al lagar para sacar cincuenta cántaros, y había veinte. |
Since those days were, when one came to an heap of twenty measures, there were but ten: when one came to the pressfat for to draw out fifty vessels out of the press, there were but twenty. |
מִהְיֹותָם בָּא אֶל־עֲרֵמַת עֶשְׂרִים וְהָיְתָה עֲשָׂרָה בָּא אֶל־הַיֶּקֶב לַחְשֹׂף חֲמִשִּׁים פּוּרָה וְהָיְתָה עֶשְׂרִים׃ |
| 2:17 Os herí con viento solano, con tizoncillo y con granizo en toda obra de vuestras manos; mas no os convertisteis a mí, dice Jehová. |
I smote you with blasting and with mildew and with hail in all the labours of your hands; yet ye turned not to me, saith the LORD. |
הִכֵּיתִי אֶתְכֶם בַּשִּׁדָּפֹון וּבַיֵּרָקֹון וּבַבָּרָד אֵת כָּל־מַעֲשֵׂה יְדֵיכֶם וְאֵין־אֶתְכֶם אֵלַי נְאֻם־יְהוָה׃ |
| 2:18 Meditad, pues, en vuestro corazón, desde este día en adelante, desde el día veinticuatro del noveno mes, desde el día que se echó el cimiento del templo de Jehová; meditad, pues, en vuestro corazón. |
Consider now from this day and upward, from the four and twentieth day of the ninth month, even from the day that the foundation of the LORD'S temple was laid, consider it. |
שִׂימוּ־נָא לְבַבְכֶם מִן־הַיֹּום הַזֶּה וָמָעְלָה מִיֹּום עֶשְׂרִים וְאַרְבָּעָה לַתְּשִׁיעִי לְמִן־הַיֹּום אֲשֶׁר־יֻסַּד הֵיכַל־יְהוָה שִׂימוּ לְבַבְכֶם׃ |
| 2:19 ¿No está aún la simiente en el granero? Ni la vid, ni la higuera, ni el granado, ni el árbol de olivo ha florecido todavía; mas desde este día os bendeciré. |
Is the seed yet in the barn? yea, as yet the vine, and the fig tree, and the pomegranate, and the olive tree, hath not brought forth: from this day will I bless you. |
הַעֹוד הַזֶּרַע בַּמְּגוּרָה וְעַד־הַגֶּפֶן וְהַתְּאֵנָה וְהָרִמֹּון וְעֵץ הַזַּיִת לֹא נָשָׂא מִן־הַיֹּום הַזֶּה אֲבָרֵךְ׃ ס |
| 2:20 Vino por segunda vez palabra de Jehová a Hageo, a los veinticuatro días del mismo mes, diciendo: |
And again the word of the LORD came unto Haggai in the four and twentieth day of the month, saying, |
וַיְהִי דְבַר־יְהוָה שֵׁנִית אֶל־חַגַּי בְּעֶשְׂרִים וְאַרְבָּעָה לַחֹדֶשׁ לֵאמֹר׃ |
| 2:21 Habla a Zorobabel gobernador de Judá, diciendo: Yo haré temblar los cielos y la tierra; |
Speak to Zerubbabel, governor of Judah, saying, I will shake the heavens and the earth; |
אֱמֹר אֶל־זְרֻבָּבֶל פַּחַת־יְהוּדָה לֵאמֹר אֲנִי מַרְעִישׁ אֶת־הַשָּׁמַיִם וְאֶת־הָאָרֶץ׃ |
| 2:22 y trastornaré el trono de los reinos, y destruiré la fuerza de los reinos de las naciones; trastornaré los carros y los que en ellos suben, y vendrán abajo los caballos y sus jinetes, cada cual por la espada de su hermano. |
And I will overthrow the throne of kingdoms, and I will destroy the strength of the kingdoms of the heathen; and I will overthrow the chariots, and those that ride in them; and the horses and their riders shall come down, every one by the sword of his brother. |
וְהָפַכְתִּי כִּסֵּא מַמְלָכֹות וְהִשְׁמַדְתִּי חֹזֶק מַמְלְכֹות הַגֹּויִם וְהָפַכְתִּי מֶרְכָּבָה וְרֹכְבֶיהָ וְיָרְדוּ סוּסִים וְרֹכְבֵיהֶם אִישׁ בְּחֶרֶב אָחִיו׃ |
| 2:23 En aquel día, dice Jehová de los ejércitos, te tomaré, oh Zorobabel hijo de Salatiel, siervo mío, dice Jehová, y te pondré como anillo de sellar; porque yo te escogí, dice Jehová de los ejércitos. |
In that day, saith the LORD of hosts, will I take thee, O Zerubbabel, my servant, the son of Shealtiel, saith the LORD, and will make thee as a signet: for I have chosen thee, saith the LORD of hosts. |
בַּיֹּום הַהוּא נְאֻם־יְהוָה צְבָאֹות אֶקָּחֲךָ זְרֻבָּבֶל בֶּן־שְׁאַלְתִּיאֵל עַבְדִּי נְאֻם־יְהוָה וְשַׂמְתִּיךָ כַּחֹותָם כִּי־בְךָ בָחַרְתִּי נְאֻם יְהוָה צְבָאֹות׃ |
