The words of Nehemiah the son of Hachaliah. And it came to pass in the month Chisleu, in the twentieth year, as I was in Shushan the palace, |
דִּבְרֵי נְחֶמְיָה בֶּן־חֲכַלְיָה וַיְהִי בְחֹדֶשׁ־ [כִּסְלֵו כ] (כִּסְלֵיו ק) שְׁנַת עֶשְׂרִים וַאֲנִי הָיִיתִי בְּשׁוּשַׁן הַבִּירָה׃ |
| 1:2 que vino Hanani, uno de mis hermanos, con algunos varones de Judá, y les pregunté por los judíos que habían escapado, que habían quedado de la cautividad, y por Jerusalén. |
That Hanani, one of my brethren, came, he and certain men of Judah; and I asked them concerning the Jews that had escaped, which were left of the captivity, and concerning Jerusalem. |
וַיָּבֹא חֲנָנִי אֶחָד מֵאַחַי הוּא וַאֲנָשִׁים מִיהוּדָה וָאֶשְׁאָלֵם עַל־הַיְּהוּדִים הַפְּלֵיטָה אֲשֶׁר־נִשְׁאֲרוּ מִן־הַשֶּׁבִי וְעַל־יְרוּשָׁלִָם׃ |
| 1:3 Y me dijeron: El remanente, los que quedaron de la cautividad, allí en la provincia, están en gran mal y afrenta, y el muro de Jerusalén derribado, y sus puertas quemadas a fuego. |
And they said unto me, The remnant that are left of the captivity there in the province are in great affliction and reproach: the wall of Jerusalem also is broken down, and the gates thereof are burned with fire. |
וַיֹּאמְרוּ לִי הַנִּשְׁאָרִים אֲשֶׁר־נִשְׁאֲרוּ מִן־הַשְּׁבִי שָׁם בַּמְּדִינָה בְּרָעָה גְדֹלָה וּבְחֶרְפָּה וְחֹומַת יְרוּשָׁלִַם מְפֹרָצֶת וּשְׁעָרֶיהָ נִצְּתוּ בָאֵשׁ׃ |
| 1:4 Cuando oí estas palabras me senté y lloré, e hice duelo por algunos días, y ayuné y oré delante del Dios de los cielos. |
And it came to pass, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned certain days, and fasted, and prayed before the God of heaven, |
וַיְהִי כְּשָׁמְעִי ׀ אֶת־הַדְּבָרִים הָאֵלֶּה יָשַׁבְתִּי וָאֶבְכֶּה וָאֶתְאַבְּלָה יָמִים וָאֱהִי צָם וּמִתְפַּלֵּל לִפְנֵי אֱלֹהֵי הַשָּׁמָיִם׃ |
| 1:5 Y dije: Te ruego, oh Jehová, Dios de los cielos, fuerte, grande y temible, que guarda el pacto y la misericordia a los que le aman y guardan sus mandamientos; |
And said, I beseech thee, O LORD God of heaven, the great and terrible God, that keepeth covenant and mercy for them that love him and observe his commandments: |
וָאֹמַר אָנָּא יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵי הַשָּׁמַיִם הָאֵל הַגָּדֹול וְהַנֹּורָא שֹׁמֵר הַבְּרִית וָחֶסֶד לְאֹהֲבָיו וּלְשֹׁמְרֵי מִצְוֹתָיו׃ |
| 1:6 esté ahora atento tu oído y abiertos tus ojos para oír la oración de tu siervo, que hago ahora delante de ti día y noche, por los hijos de Israel tus siervos; y confieso los pecados de los hijos de Israel que hemos cometido contra ti; sí, yo y la casa de mi padre hemos pecado. |
Let thine ear now be attentive, and thine eyes open, that thou mayest hear the prayer of thy servant, which I pray before thee now, day and night, for the children of Israel thy servants, and confess the sins of the children of Israel, which we have sinned against thee: both I and my father's house have sinned. |
תְּהִי נָא אָזְנְךָ־קַשֶּׁבֶת וְעֵינֶיךָ פְתֻוּחֹות לִשְׁמֹעַ אֶל־תְּפִלַּת עַבְדְּךָ אֲשֶׁר אָנֹכִי מִתְפַּלֵּל לְפָנֶיךָ הַיֹּום יֹומָם וָלַיְלָה עַל־בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל עֲבָדֶיךָ וּמִתְוַדֶּה עַל־חַטֹּאות בְּנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵל אֲשֶׁר חָטָאנוּ לָךְ וַאֲנִי וּבֵית־אָבִי חָטָאנוּ׃ |
| 1:7 En extremo nos hemos corrompido contra ti, y no hemos guardado los mandamientos, estatutos y preceptos que diste a Moisés tu siervo. |
We have dealt very corruptly against thee, and have not kept the commandments, nor the statutes, nor the judgments, which thou commandedst thy servant Moses. |
חֲבֹל חָבַלְנוּ לָךְ וְלֹא־שָׁמַרְנוּ אֶת־הַמִּצְוֹת וְאֶת־הַחֻקִּים וְאֶת־הַמִּשְׁפָּטִים אֲשֶׁר צִוִּיתָ אֶת־מֹשֶׁה עַבְדֶּךָ׃ |
| 1:8 Acuérdate ahora de la palabra que diste a Moisés tu siervo, diciendo: Si vosotros pecareis, yo os dispersaré por los pueblos; |
Remember, I beseech thee, the word that thou commandedst thy servant Moses, saying, If ye transgress, I will scatter you abroad among the nations: |
זְכָר־נָא אֶת־הַדָּבָר אֲשֶׁר צִוִּיתָ אֶת־מֹשֶׁה עַבְדְּךָ לֵאמֹר אַתֶּם תִּמְעָלוּ אֲנִי אָפִיץ אֶתְכֶם בָּעַמִּים׃ |
| 1:9 pero si os volviereis a mí, y guardareis mis mandamientos, y los pusiereis por obra, aunque vuestra dispersión fuere hasta el extremo de los cielos, de allí os recogeré, y os traeré al lugar que escogí para hacer habitar allí mi nombre. |
But if ye turn unto me, and keep my commandments, and do them; though there were of you cast out unto the uttermost part of the heaven, yet will I gather them from thence, and will bring them unto the place that I have chosen to set my name there. |
וְשַׁבְתֶּם אֵלַי וּשְׁמַרְתֶּם מִצְוֹתַי וַעֲשִׂיתֶם אֹתָם אִם־יִהְיֶה נִדַּחֲכֶם בִּקְצֵה הַשָּׁמַיִם מִשָּׁם אֲקַבְּצֵם [וַהֲבֹואֹתִים כ] (וַהֲבִיאֹותִים ק) אֶל־הַמָּקֹום אֲשֶׁר בָּחַרְתִּי לְשַׁכֵּן אֶת־שְׁמִי שָׁם׃ |
| 1:10 Ellos, pues, son tus siervos y tu pueblo, los cuales redimiste con tu gran poder, y con tu mano poderosa. |
Now these are thy servants and thy people, whom thou hast redeemed by thy great power, and by thy strong hand. |
וְהֵם עֲבָדֶיךָ וְעַמֶּךָ אֲשֶׁר פָּדִיתָ בְּכֹחֲךָ הַגָּדֹול וּבְיָדְךָ הַחֲזָקָה׃ |
| 1:11 Te ruego, oh Jehová, esté ahora atento tu oído a la oración de tu siervo, y a la oración de tus siervos, quienes desean reverenciar tu nombre; concede ahora buen éxito a tu siervo, y dale gracia delante de aquel varón. Porque yo servía de copero al rey. |
O Lord, I beseech thee, let now thine ear be attentive to the prayer of thy servant, and to the prayer of thy servants, who desire to fear thy name: and prosper, I pray thee, thy servant this day, and grant him mercy in the sight of this man. For I was the king's cupbearer. |
אָנָּא אֲדֹנָי תְּהִי נָא אָזְנְךָ־קַשֶּׁבֶת אֶל־תְּפִלַּת עַבְדְּךָ וְאֶל־תְּפִלַּת עֲבָדֶיךָ הַחֲפֵצִים לְיִרְאָה אֶת־שְׁמֶךָ וְהַצְלִיחָה־נָּא לְעַבְדְּךָ הַיֹּום וּתְנֵהוּ לְרַחֲמִים לִפְנֵי הָאִישׁ הַזֶּה וַאֲנִי הָיִיתִי מַשְׁקֶה לַמֶּלֶךְ׃ פ |
| 2:1 Sucedió en el mes de Nisán, en el año veinte del rey Artajerjes, que estando ya el vino delante de él, tomé el vino y lo serví al rey. Y como yo no había estado antes triste en su presencia, |
And it came to pass in the month Nisan, in the twentieth year of Artaxerxes the king, that wine was before him: and I took up the wine, and gave it unto the king. Now I had not been beforetime sad in his presence. |
וַיְהִי ׀ בְּחֹדֶשׁ נִיסָן שְׁנַת עֶשְׂרִים לְאַרְתַּחְשַׁסְתְּא הַמֶּלֶךְ יַיִן לְפָנָיו וָאֶשָּׂא אֶת־הַיַּיִן וָאֶתְּנָה לַמֶּלֶךְ וְלֹא־הָיִיתִי רַע לְפָנָיו׃ |
| 2:2 me dijo el rey: ¿Por qué está triste tu rostro? pues no estás enfermo. No es esto sino quebranto de corazón. Entonces temí en gran manera. |
Wherefore the king said unto me, Why is thy countenance sad, seeing thou art not sick? this is nothing else but sorrow of heart. Then I was very sore afraid, |
וַיֹּאמֶר לִי הַמֶּלֶךְ מַדּוּעַ ׀ פָּנֶיךָ רָעִים וְאַתָּה אֵינְךָ חֹולֶה אֵין זֶה כִּי־אִם רֹעַ לֵב וָאִירָא הַרְבֵּה מְאֹד׃ |
| 2:3 Y dije al rey: Para siempre viva el rey. ¿Cómo no estará triste mi rostro, cuando la ciudad, casa de los sepulcros de mis padres, está desierta, y sus puertas consumidas por el fuego? |
And said unto the king, Let the king live for ever: why should not my countenance be sad, when the city, the place of my fathers' sepulchres, lieth waste, and the gates thereof are consumed with fire? |
וָאֹמַר לַמֶּלֶךְ הַמֶּלֶךְ לְעֹולָם יִחְיֶה מַדּוּעַ לֹא־יֵרְעוּ פָנַי אֲשֶׁר הָעִיר בֵּית־קִבְרֹות אֲבֹתַי חֲרֵבָה וּשְׁעָרֶיהָ אֻכְּלוּ בָאֵשׁ׃ ס |
| 2:4 Me dijo el rey: ¿Qué cosa pides? Entonces oré al Dios de los cielos, |
Then the king said unto me, For what dost thou make request? So I prayed to the God of heaven. |
וַיֹּאמֶר לִי הַמֶּלֶךְ עַל־מַה־זֶּה אַתָּה מְבַקֵּשׁ וָאֶתְפַּלֵּל אֶל־אֱלֹהֵי הַשָּׁמָיִם׃ |
| 2:5 y dije al rey: Si le place al rey, y tu siervo ha hallado gracia delante de ti, envíame a Judá, a la ciudad de los sepulcros de mis padres, y la reedificaré. |
And I said unto the king, If it please the king, and if thy servant have found favour in thy sight, that thou wouldest send me unto Judah, unto the city of my fathers' sepulchres, that I may build it. |
וָאֹמַר לַמֶּלֶךְ אִם־עַל־הַמֶּלֶךְ טֹוב וְאִם־יִיטַב עַבְדְּךָ לְפָנֶיךָ אֲשֶׁר תִּשְׁלָחֵנִי אֶל־יְהוּדָה אֶל־עִיר קִבְרֹות אֲבֹתַי וְאֶבְנֶנָּה׃ |
| 2:6 Entonces el rey me dijo (y la reina estaba sentada junto a él): ¿Cuánto durará tu viaje, y cuándo volverás? Y agradó al rey enviarme, después que yo le señalé tiempo. |
And the king said unto me, (the queen also sitting by him,) For how long shall thy journey be? and when wilt thou return? So it pleased the king to send me; and I set him a time. |
וַיֹּאמֶר לִי הַמֶּלֶךְ וְהַשֵּׁגַל ׀ יֹושֶׁבֶת אֶצְלֹו עַד־מָתַי יִהְיֶה מַהֲלָכֲךָ וּמָתַי תָּשׁוּב וַיִּיטַב לִפְנֵי־הַמֶּלֶךְ וַיִּשְׁלָחֵנִי וָאֶתְּנָה לֹו זְמָן׃ |
| 2:7 Además dije al rey: Si le place al rey, que se me den cartas para los gobernadores al otro lado del río, para que me franqueen el paso hasta que llegue a Judá; |
Moreover I said unto the king, If it please the king, let letters be given me to the governors beyond the river, that they may convey me over till I come into Judah; |
וָאֹומַר לַמֶּלֶךְ אִם־עַל־הַמֶּלֶךְ טֹוב אִגְּרֹות יִתְּנוּ־לִי עַל־פַּחֲוֹות עֵבֶר הַנָּהָר אֲשֶׁר יַעֲבִירוּנִי עַד אֲשֶׁר־אָבֹוא אֶל־יְהוּדָה׃ |
| 2:8 y carta para Asaf guarda del bosque del rey, para que me dé madera para enmaderar las puertas del palacio de la casa, y para el muro de la ciudad, y la casa en que yo estaré. Y me lo concedió el rey, según la benéfica mano de mi Dios sobre mí. |
And a letter unto Asaph the keeper of the king's forest, that he may give me timber to make beams for the gates of the palace which appertained to the house, and for the wall of the city, and for the house that I shall enter into. And the king granted me, according to the good hand of my God upon me. |
וְאִגֶּרֶת אֶל־אָסָף שֹׁמֵר הַפַּרְדֵּס אֲשֶׁר לַמֶּלֶךְ אֲשֶׁר יִתֶּן־לִי עֵצִים לְקָרֹות אֶת־שַׁעֲרֵי הַבִּירָה אֲשֶׁר־לַבַּיִת וּלְחֹומַת הָעִיר וְלַבַּיִת אֲשֶׁר־אָבֹוא אֵלָיו וַיִּתֶּן־לִי הַמֶּלֶךְ כְּיַד־אֱלֹהַי הַטֹּובָה עָלָי׃ |
| 2:9 Vine luego a los gobernadores del otro lado del río, y les di las cartas del rey. Y el rey envió conmigo capitanes del ejército y gente de a caballo. |
Then I came to the governors beyond the river, and gave them the king's letters. Now the king had sent captains of the army and horsemen with me. |
וָאָבֹוא אֶל־פַּחֲוֹות עֵבֶר הַנָּהָר וָאֶתְּנָה לָהֶם אֵת אִגְּרֹות הַמֶּלֶךְ וַיִּשְׁלַח עִמִּי הַמֶּלֶךְ שָׂרֵי חַיִל וּפָרָשִׁים׃ פ |
| 2:10 Pero oyéndolo Sanbalat horonita y Tobías el siervo amonita, les disgustó en extremo que viniese alguno para procurar el bien de los hijos de Israel. |
When Sanballat the Horonite, and Tobiah the servant, the Ammonite, heard of it, it grieved them exceedingly that there was come a man to seek the welfare of the children of Israel. |
וַיִּשְׁמַע סַנְבַלַּט הַחֹרֹנִי וְטֹובִיָּה הָעֶבֶד הָעַמֹּנִי וַיֵּרַע לָהֶם רָעָה גְדֹלָה אֲשֶׁר־בָּא אָדָם לְבַקֵּשׁ טֹובָה לִבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל׃ |
| 2:11 Llegué, pues, a Jerusalén, y después de estar allí tres días, |
So I came to Jerusalem, and was there three days. |
וָאָבֹוא אֶל־יְרוּשָׁלִָם וָאֱהִי־שָׁם יָמִים שְׁלֹשָׁה׃ |
| 2:12 me levanté de noche, yo y unos pocos varones conmigo, y no declaré a hombre alguno lo que Dios había puesto en mi corazón que hiciese en Jerusalén; ni había cabalgadura conmigo, excepto la única en que yo cabalgaba. |
And I arose in the night, I and some few men with me; neither told I any man what my God had put in my heart to do at Jerusalem: neither was there any beast with me, save the beast that I rode upon. |
וָאָקוּם ׀ לַיְלָה אֲנִי וַאֲנָשִׁים ׀ מְעַט עִמִּי וְלֹא־הִגַּדְתִּי לְאָדָם מָה אֱלֹהַי נֹתֵן אֶל־לִבִּי לַעֲשֹׂות לִירוּשָׁלִָם וּבְהֵמָה אֵין עִמִּי כִּי אִם־הַבְּהֵמָה אֲשֶׁר אֲנִי רֹכֵב בָּהּ׃ |
| 2:13 Y salí de noche por la puerta del Valle hacia la fuente del Dragón y a la puerta del Muladar; y observé los muros de Jerusalén que estaban derribados, y sus puertas que estaban consumidas por el fuego. |
And I went out by night by the gate of the valley, even before the dragon well, and to the dung port, and viewed the walls of Jerusalem, which were broken down, and the gates thereof were consumed with fire. |
וָאֵצְאָה בְשַׁעַר־הַגַּיא לַיְלָה וְאֶל־פְּנֵי עֵין הַתַּנִּין וְאֶל־שַׁעַר הָאַשְׁפֹּת וָאֱהִי שֹׂבֵר בְּחֹומֹת יְרוּשָׁלִַם אֲשֶׁר־ [הַמְפֹרוָצִים כ] (הֵם ׀ ק) (פְּרוּצִים ק) וּשְׁעָרֶיהָ אֻכְּלוּ בָאֵשׁ׃ |
| 2:14 Pasé luego a la puerta de la Fuente, y al estanque del Rey; pero no había lugar por donde pasase la cabalgadura en que iba. |
Then I went on to the gate of the fountain, and to the king's pool: but there was no place for the beast that was under me to pass. |
וָאֶעֱבֹר אֶל־שַׁעַר הָעַיִן וְאֶל־בְּרֵכַת הַמֶּלֶךְ וְאֵין־מָקֹום לַבְּהֵמָה לַעֲבֹר תַּחְתָּי׃ |
| 2:15 Y subí de noche por el torrente y observé el muro, y di la vuelta y entré por la puerta del Valle, y me volví. |
Then went I up in the night by the brook, and viewed the wall, and turned back, and entered by the gate of the valley, and so returned. |
וָאֱהִי עֹלֶה בַנַּחַל לַיְלָה וָאֱהִי שֹׂבֵר בַּחֹומָה וָאָשׁוּב וָאָבֹוא בְּשַׁעַר הַגַּיְא וָאָשׁוּב׃ |
| 2:16 Y no sabían los oficiales a dónde yo había ido, ni qué había hecho; ni hasta entonces lo había declarado yo a los judíos y sacerdotes, ni a los nobles y oficiales, ni a los demás que hacían la obra. |
And the rulers knew not whither I went, or what I did; neither had I as yet told it to the Jews, nor to the priests, nor to the nobles, nor to the rulers, nor to the rest that did the work. |
וְהַסְּגָנִים לֹא יָדְעוּ אָנָה הָלַכְתִּי וּמָה אֲנִי עֹשֶׂה וְלַיְּהוּדִים וְלַכֹּהֲנִים וְלַחֹרִים וְלַסְּגָנִים וּלְיֶתֶר עֹשֵׂה הַמְּלָאכָה עַד־כֵּן לֹא הִגַּדְתִּי׃ |
| 2:17 Les dije, pues: Vosotros veis el mal en que estamos, que Jerusalén está desierta, y sus puertas consumidas por el fuego; venid, y edifiquemos el muro de Jerusalén, y no estemos más en oprobio. |
Then said I unto them, Ye see the distress that we are in, how Jerusalem lieth waste, and the gates thereof are burned with fire: come, and let us build up the wall of Jerusalem, that we be no more a reproach. |
וָאֹומַר אֲלֵהֶם אַתֶּם רֹאִים הָרָעָה אֲשֶׁר אֲנַחְנוּ בָהּ אֲשֶׁר יְרוּשָׁלִַם חֲרֵבָה וּשְׁעָרֶיהָ נִצְּתוּ בָאֵשׁ לְכוּ וְנִבְנֶה אֶת־חֹומַת יְרוּשָׁלִַם וְלֹא־נִהְיֶה עֹוד חֶרְפָּה׃ |
| 2:18 Entonces les declaré cómo la mano de mi Dios había sido buena sobre mí, y asimismo las palabras que el rey me había dicho. Y dijeron: Levantémonos y edifiquemos. Así esforzaron sus manos para bien. |
Then I told them of the hand of my God which was good upon me; as also the king's words that he had spoken unto me. And they said, Let us rise up and build. So they strengthened their hands for this good work. |
וָאַגִּיד לָהֶם אֶת־יַד אֱלֹהַי אֲשֶׁר־הִיא טֹובָה עָלַי וְאַף־דִּבְרֵי הַמֶּלֶךְ אֲשֶׁר אָמַר־לִי וַיֹּאמְרוּ נָקוּם וּבָנִינוּ וַיְחַזְּקוּ יְדֵיהֶם לַטֹּובָה׃ פ |
| 2:19 Pero cuanto lo oyeron Sanbalat horonita, Tobías el siervo amonita, y Gesem el árabe, hicieron escarnio de nosotros, y nos despreciaron, diciendo: ¿Qué es esto que hacéis vosotros? ¿Os rebeláis contra el rey? |
But when Sanballat the Horonite, and Tobiah the servant, the Ammonite, and Geshem the Arabian, heard it, they laughed us to scorn, and despised us, and said, What is this thing that ye do? will ye rebel against the king? |
וַיִּשְׁמַע סַנְבַלַּט הַחֹרֹנִי וְטֹבִיָּה ׀ הָעֶבֶד הָעַמֹּונִי וְגֶשֶׁם הָעַרְבִי וַיַּלְעִגוּ לָנוּ וַיִּבְזוּ עָלֵינוּ וַיֹּאמְרוּ מָה־הַדָּבָר הַזֶּה אֲשֶׁר אַתֶּם עֹשִׂים הַעַל הַמֶּלֶךְ אַתֶּם מֹרְדִים׃ |
| 2:20 Y en respuesta les dije: El Dios de los cielos, él nos prosperará, y nosotros sus siervos nos levantaremos y edificaremos, porque vosotros no tenéis parte ni derecho ni memoria en Jerusalén. |
Then answered I them, and said unto them, The God of heaven, he will prosper us; therefore we his servants will arise and build: but ye have no portion, nor right, nor memorial, in Jerusalem. |
וָאָשִׁיב אֹותָם דָּבָר וָאֹומַר לָהֶם אֱלֹהֵי הַשָּׁמַיִם הוּא יַצְלִיחַ לָנוּ וַאֲנַחְנוּ עֲבָדָיו נָקוּם וּבָנִינוּ וְלָכֶם אֵין־חֵלֶק וּצְדָקָה וְזִכָּרֹון בִּירוּשָׁלִָם׃ |
| 3:1 Entonces se levantó el sumo sacerdote Eliasib con sus hermanos los sacerdotes, y edificaron la puerta de las Ovejas. Ellos arreglaron y levantaron sus puertas hasta la torre de Hamea, y edificaron hasta la torre de Hananeel. |
Then Eliashib the high priest rose up with his brethren the priests, and they builded the sheep gate; they sanctified it, and set up the doors of it; even unto the tower of Meah they sanctified it, unto the tower of Hananeel. |
וַיָּקָם אֶלְיָשִׁיב הַכֹּהֵן הַגָּדֹול וְאֶחָיו הַכֹּהֲנִים וַיִּבְנוּ אֶת־שַׁעַר הַצֹּאן הֵמָּה קִדְּשׁוּהוּ וַיַּעֲמִידוּ דַּלְתֹתָיו וְעַד־מִגְדַּל הַמֵּאָה קִדְּשׁוּהוּ עַד מִגְדַּל חֲנַנְאֵל׃ ס |
| 3:2 Junto a ella edificaron los varones de Jericó, y luego edificó Zacur hijo de Imri. |
And next unto him builded the men of Jericho. And next to them builded Zaccur the son of Imri. |
וְעַל־יָדֹו בָנוּ אַנְשֵׁי יְרֵחֹו ס וְעַל־יָדֹו בָנָה זַכּוּר בֶּן־אִמְרִי׃ ס |
| 3:3 Los hijos de Senaa edificaron la puerta del Pescado; ellos la enmaderaron, y levantaron sus puertas, con sus cerraduras y sus cerrojos. |

וְאֵת שַׁעַר הַדָּגִים בָּנוּ בְּנֵי הַסְּנָאָה הֵמָּה קֵרוּהוּ וַיַּעֲמִידוּ דַּלְתֹתָיו מַנְעוּלָיו וּבְרִיחָיו׃ ס |

| 3:7 Junto a ellos restauró Melatías gabaonita y Jadón meronotita, varones de Gabaón y de Mizpa, que estaban bajo el dominio del gobernador del otro lado del río. |

| 4:2 Y habló delante de sus hermanos y del ejército de Samaria, y dijo: ¿Qué hacen estos débiles judíos? ¿Se les permitirá volver a ofrecer sus sacrificios? ¿Acabarán en un día? ¿Resucitarán de los montones del polvo las piedras que fueron quemadas? |

| 4:3 Y estaba junto a él Tobías amonita, el cual dijo: Lo que ellos edifican del muro de piedra, si subiere una zorra lo derribará. |
Now Tobiah the Ammonite was by him, and he said, Even that which they build, if a fox go up, he shall even break down their stone wall. |

| 4:4 Oye, oh Dios nuestro, que somos objeto de su menosprecio, y vuelve el baldón de ellos sobre su cabeza, y entrégalos por despojo en la tierra de su cautiverio. |
Hear, O our God; for we are despised: and turn their reproach upon their own head, and give them for a prey in the land of captivity: |
שְׁמַע אֱלֹהֵינוּ כִּי־הָיִינוּ בוּזָה וְהָשֵׁב חֶרְפָּתָם אֶל־רֹאשָׁם וּתְנֵם לְבִזָּה בְּאֶרֶץ שִׁבְיָה׃ |
| 4:5 No cubras su iniquidad, ni su pecado sea borrado delante de ti, porque se airaron contra los que edificaban. |
And cover not their iniquity, and let not their sin be blotted out from before thee: for they have provoked thee to anger before the builders. |
וְאַל־תְּכַס עַל־עֲוֹנָם וְחַטָּאתָם מִלְּפָנֶיךָ אַל־תִּמָּחֶה כִּי הִכְעִיסוּ לְנֶגֶד הַבֹּונִים׃ |
| 4:6 Edificamos, pues, el muro, y toda la muralla fue terminada hasta la mitad de su altura, porque el pueblo tuvo ánimo para trabajar. |
So built we the wall; and all the wall was joined together unto the half thereof: for the people had a mind to work. |
וַנִּבְנֶה אֶת־הַחֹומָה וַתִּקָּשֵׁר כָּל־הַחֹומָה עַד־חֶצְיָהּ וַיְהִי לֵב לָעָם לַעֲשֹׂות׃ פ |
| 4:7 Pero aconteció que oyendo Sanbalat y Tobías, y los árabes, los amonitas y los de Asdod, que los muros de Jerusalén eran reparados, porque ya los portillos comenzaban a ser cerrados, se encolerizaron mucho; |
But it came to pass, that when Sanballat, and Tobiah, and the Arabians, and the Ammonites, and the Ashdodites, heard that the walls of Jerusalem were made up, and that the breaches began to be stopped, then they were very wroth, |
וַיְהִי כַאֲשֶׁר שָׁמַע סַנְבַלַּט וְטֹובִיָּה וְהָעַרְבִים וְהָעַמֹּנִים וְהָאַשְׁדֹּודִים כִּי־עָלְתָה אֲרוּכָה לְחֹמֹות יְרוּשָׁלִַם כִּי־הֵחֵלּוּ הַפְּרֻצִים לְהִסָּתֵם וַיִּחַר לָהֶם מְאֹד׃ |
| 4:8 y conspiraron todos a una para venir a atacar a Jerusalén y hacerle daño. |
And conspired all of them together to come and to fight against Jerusalem, and to hinder it. |
וַיִּקְשְׁרוּ כֻלָּם יַחְדָּו לָבֹוא לְהִלָּחֵם בִּירוּשָׁלִָם וְלַעֲשֹׂות לֹו תֹּועָה׃ |
| 4:9 Entonces oramos a nuestro Dios, y por causa de ellos pusimos guarda contra ellos de día y de noche. |
Nevertheless we made our prayer unto our God, and set a watch against them day and night, because of them. |
וַנִּתְפַּלֵּל אֶל־אֱלֹהֵינוּ וַנַּעֲמִיד מִשְׁמָר עֲלֵיהֶם יֹומָם וָלַיְלָה מִפְּנֵיהֶם׃ |
| 4:10 Y dijo Judá: Las fuerzas de los acarreadores se han debilitado, y el escombro es mucho, y no podemos edificar el muro. |
And Judah said, The strength of the bearers of burdens is decayed, and there is much rubbish; so that we are not able to build the wall. |
וַיֹּאמֶר יְהוּדָה כָּשַׁל כֹּחַ הַסַּבָּל וְהֶעָפָר הַרְבֵּה וַאֲנַחְנוּ לֹא נוּכַל לִבְנֹות בַּחֹומָה׃ |
| 4:11 Y nuestros enemigos dijeron: No sepan, ni vean, hasta que entremos en medio de ellos y los matemos, y hagamos cesar la obra. |
And our adversaries said, They shall not know, neither see, till we come in the midst among them, and slay them, and cause the work to cease. |
וַיֹּאמְרוּ צָרֵינוּ לֹא יֵדְעוּ וְלֹא יִרְאוּ עַד אֲשֶׁר־נָבֹוא אֶל־תֹּוכָם וַהֲרַגְנוּם וְהִשְׁבַּתְנוּ אֶת־הַמְּלָאכָה׃ |
| 4:12 Pero sucedió que cuando venían los judíos que habitaban entre ellos, nos decían hasta diez veces: De todos los lugares de donde volviereis, ellos caerán sobre vosotros. |
And it came to pass, that when the Jews which dwelt by them came, they said unto us ten times, From all places whence ye shall return unto us they will be upon you. |
וַיְהִי כַּאֲשֶׁר־בָּאוּ הַיְּהוּדִים הַיֹּשְׁבִים אֶצְלָם וַיֹּאמְרוּ לָנוּ עֶשֶׂר פְּעָמִים מִכָּל־הַמְּקֹמֹות אֲשֶׁר־תָּשׁוּבוּ עָלֵינוּ׃ |
| 4:13 Entonces por las partes bajas del lugar, detrás del muro, y en los sitios abiertos, puse al pueblo por familias, con sus espadas, con sus lanzas y con sus arcos. |
Therefore set I in the lower places behind the wall, and on the higher places, I even set the people after their families with their swords, their spears, and their bows. |
וָאַעֲמִיד מִתַּחְתִּיֹּות לַמָּקֹום מֵאַחֲרֵי לַחֹומָה [בַּצְּחִחִיִּים כ] (בַּצְּחִיחִים ק) וָאַעֲמִיד אֶת־הָעָם לְמִשְׁפָּחֹות עִם־חַרְבֹתֵיהֶם רָמְחֵיהֶם וְקַשְּׁתֹתֵיהֶם׃ |
| 4:14 Después miré, y me levanté y dije a los nobles y a los oficiales, y al resto del pueblo: No temáis delante de ellos; acordaos del Señor, grande y temible, y pelead por vuestros hermanos, por vuestros hijos y por vuestras hijas, por vuestras mujeres y por vuestras casas. |
And I looked, and rose up, and said unto the nobles, and to the rulers, and to the rest of the people, Be not ye afraid of them: remember the Lord, which is great and terrible, and fight for your brethren, your sons, and your daughters, your wives, and your houses. |
וָאֵרֶא וָאָקוּם וָאֹמַר אֶל־הַחֹרִים וְאֶל־הַסְּגָנִים וְאֶל־יֶתֶר הָעָם אַל־תִּירְאוּ מִפְּנֵיהֶם אֶת־אֲדֹנָי הַגָּדֹול וְהַנֹּורָא זְכֹרוּ וְהִלָּחֲמוּ עַל־אֲחֵיכֶם בְּנֵיכֶם וּבְנֹתֵיכֶם נְשֵׁיכֶם וּבָתֵּיכֶם׃ פ |
| 4:15 Y cuando oyeron nuestros enemigos que lo habíamos entendido, y que Dios había desbaratado el consejo de ellos, nos volvimos todos al muro, cada uno a su tarea. |
And it came to pass, when our enemies heard that it was known unto us, and God had brought their counsel to nought, that we returned all of us to the wall, every one unto his work. |
וַיְהִי כַּאֲשֶׁר־שָׁמְעוּ אֹויְבֵינוּ כִּי־נֹודַע לָנוּ וַיָּפֶר הָאֱלֹהִים אֶת־עֲצָתָם [וַנָּשׁוּב כ] (וַנָּשָׁב ק) כֻּלָּנוּ אֶל־הַחֹומָה אִישׁ אֶל־מְלַאכְתֹּו׃ |
| 4:16 Desde aquel día la mitad de mis siervos trabajaba en la obra, y la otra mitad tenía lanzas, escudos, arcos y corazas; y detrás de ellos estaban los jefes de toda la casa de Judá. |
And it came to pass from that time forth, that the half of my servants wrought in the work, and the other half of them held both the spears, the shields, and the bows, and the habergeons; and the rulers were behind all the house of Judah. |
וַיְהִי ׀ מִן־הַיֹּום הַהוּא חֲצִי נְעָרַי עֹשִׂים בַּמְּלָאכָה וְחֶצְיָם מַחֲזִיקִים וְהָרְמָחִים הַמָּגִנִּים וְהַקְּשָׁתֹות וְהַשִּׁרְיֹנִים וְהַשָּׂרִים אַחֲרֵי כָּל־בֵּית יְהוּדָה׃ |
| 4:17 Los que edificaban en el muro, los que acarreaban, y los que cargaban, con una mano trabajaban en la obra, y en la otra tenían la espada. |
They which builded on the wall, and they that bare burdens, with those that laded, every one with one of his hands wrought in the work, and with the other hand held a weapon. |
הַבֹּונִים בַּחֹומָה וְהַנֹּשְׂאִים בַּסֶּבֶל עֹמְשִׂים בְּאַחַת יָדֹו עֹשֶׂה בַמְּלָאכָה וְאַחַת מַחֲזֶקֶת הַשָּׁלַח׃ |
| 4:18 Porque los que edificaban, cada uno tenía su espada ceñida a sus lomos, y así edificaban; y el que tocaba la trompeta estaba junto a mí. |
For the builders, every one had his sword girded by his side, and so builded. And he that sounded the trumpet was by me. |
וְהַבֹּונִים אִישׁ חַרְבֹּו אֲסוּרִים עַל־מָתְנָיו וּבֹונִים וְהַתֹּוקֵעַ בַּשֹּׁופָר אֶצְלִי׃ |
| 4:19 Y dije a los nobles, y a los oficiales y al resto del pueblo: La obra es grande y extensa, y nosotros estamos apartados en el muro, lejos unos de otros. |
And I said unto the nobles, and to the rulers, and to the rest of the people, The work is great and large, and we are separated upon the wall, one far from another. |
וָאֹמַר אֶל־הַחֹרִים וְאֶל־הַסְּגָנִים וְאֶל־יֶתֶר הָעָם הַמְּלָאכָה הַרְבֵּה וּרְחָבָה וַאֲנַחְנוּ נִפְרָדִים עַל־הַחֹומָה רְחֹוקִים אִישׁ מֵאָחִיו׃ |
| 4:20 En el lugar donde oyereis el sonido de la trompeta, reuníos allí con nosotros; nuestro Dios peleará por nosotros. |
In what place therefore ye hear the sound of the trumpet, resort ye thither unto us: our God shall fight for us. |
בִּמְקֹום אֲשֶׁר תִּשְׁמְעוּ אֶת־קֹול הַשֹּׁופָר שָׁמָּה תִּקָּבְצוּ אֵלֵינוּ אֱלֹהֵינוּ יִלָּחֶם לָנוּ׃ |
| 4:21 Nosotros, pues, trabajábamos en la obra; y la mitad de ellos tenían lanzas desde la subida del alba hasta que salían las estrellas. |
So we laboured in the work: and half of them held the spears from the rising of the morning till the stars appeared. |
וַאֲנַחְנוּ עֹשִׂים בַּמְּלָאכָה וְחֶצְיָם מַחֲזִיקִים בָּרְמָחִים מֵעֲלֹות הַשַּׁחַר עַד צֵאת הַכֹּוכָבִים׃ |
| 4:22 También dije entonces al pueblo: Cada uno con su criado permanezca dentro de Jerusalén, y de noche sirvan de centinela y de día en la obra. |
Likewise at the same time said I unto the people, Let every one with his servant lodge within Jerusalem, that in the night they may be a guard to us, and labour on the day. |
גַּם בָּעֵת הַהִיא אָמַרְתִּי לָעָם אִישׁ וְנַעֲרֹו יָלִינוּ בְּתֹוךְ יְרוּשָׁלִָם וְהָיוּ־לָנוּ הַלַּיְלָה מִשְׁמָר וְהַיֹּום מְלָאכָה׃ |
| 4:23 Y ni yo ni mis hermanos, ni mis jóvenes, ni la gente de guardia que me seguía, nos quitamos nuestro vestido; cada uno se desnudaba solamente para bañarse. |
So neither I, nor my brethren, nor my servants, nor the men of the guard which followed me, none of us put off our clothes, saving that every one put them off for washing. |
(4:17) וְאֵין אֲנִי וְאַחַי וּנְעָרַי וְאַנְשֵׁי הַמִּשְׁמָר אֲשֶׁר אַחֲרַי אֵין־אֲנַחְנוּ פֹשְׁטִים בְּגָדֵינוּ אִישׁ שִׁלְחֹו הַמָּיִם׃ ס |
| 5:1 Entonces hubo gran clamor del pueblo y de sus mujeres contra sus hermanos judíos. |
And there was a great cry of the people and of their wives against their brethren the Jews. |
וַתְּהִי צַעֲקַת הָעָם וּנְשֵׁיהֶם גְּדֹולָה אֶל־אֲחֵיהֶם הַיְּהוּדִים׃ |
| 5:2 Había quien decía: Nosotros, nuestros hijos y nuestras hijas, somos muchos; por tanto, hemos pedido prestado grano para comer y vivir. |
For there were that said, We, our sons, and our daughters, are many: therefore we take up corn for them, that we may eat, and live. |
וְיֵשׁ אֲשֶׁר אֹמְרִים בָּנֵינוּ וּבְנֹתֵינוּ אֲנַחְנוּ רַבִּים וְנִקְחָה דָגָן וְנֹאכְלָה וְנִחְיֶה׃ |
| 5:3 Y había quienes decían: Hemos empeñado nuestras tierras, nuestras viñas y nuestras casas, para comprar grano, a causa del hambre. |
Some also there were that said, We have mortgaged our lands, vineyards, and houses, that we might buy corn, because of the dearth. |
וְיֵשׁ אֲשֶׁר אֹמְרִים שְׂדֹתֵינוּ וּכְרָמֵינוּ וּבָתֵּינוּ אֲנַחְנוּ עֹרְבִים וְנִקְחָה דָגָן בָּרָעָב׃ |
| 5:4 Y había quienes decían: Hemos tomado prestado dinero para el tributo del rey, sobre nuestras tierras y viñas. |
There were also that said, We have borrowed money for the king's tribute, and that upon our lands and vineyards. |
וְיֵשׁ אֲשֶׁר אֹמְרִים לָוִינוּ כֶסֶף לְמִדַּת הַמֶּלֶךְ שְׂדֹתֵינוּ וּכְרָמֵינוּ׃ |
| 5:5 Ahora bien, nuestra carne es como la carne de nuestros hermanos, nuestros hijos como sus hijos; y he aquí que nosotros dimos nuestros hijos y nuestras hijas a servidumbre, y algunas de nuestras hijas lo están ya, y no tenemos posibilidad de rescatarlas, porque nuestras tierras y nuestras viñas son de otros. |
Yet now our flesh is as the flesh of our brethren, our children as their children: and, lo, we bring into bondage our sons and our daughters to be servants, and some of our daughters are brought unto bondage already: neither is it in our power to redeem them; for other men have our lands and vineyards. |
וְעַתָּה כִּבְשַׂר אַחֵינוּ בְּשָׂרֵנוּ כִּבְנֵיהֶם בָּנֵינוּ וְהִנֵּה אֲנַחְנוּ כֹבְשִׁים אֶת־בָּנֵינוּ וְאֶת־בְּנֹתֵינוּ לַעֲבָדִים וְיֵשׁ מִבְּנֹתֵינוּ נִכְבָּשֹׁות וְאֵין לְאֵל יָדֵנוּ וּשְׂדֹתֵינוּ וּכְרָמֵינוּ לַאֲחֵרִים׃ |
| 5:6 Y me enojé en gran manera cuando oí su clamor y estas palabras. |
And I was very angry when I heard their cry and these words. |
וַיִּחַר לִי מְאֹד כַּאֲשֶׁר שָׁמַעְתִּי אֶת־זַעֲקָתָם וְאֵת הַדְּבָרִים הָאֵלֶּה׃ |
| 5:7 Entonces lo medité, y reprendí a los nobles y a los oficiales, y les dije: ¿Exigís interés cada uno a vuestros hermanos? Y convoqué contra ellos una gran asamblea, |
Then I consulted with myself, and I rebuked the nobles, and the rulers, and said unto them, Ye exact usury, every one of his brother. And I set a great assembly against them. |
וַיִּמָּלֵךְ לִבִּי עָלַי וָאָרִיבָה אֶת־הַחֹרִים וְאֶת־הַסְּגָנִים וָאֹמְרָה לָהֶם מַשָּׁא אִישׁ־בְּאָחִיו אַתֶּם נֹשִׁאים וָאֶתֵּן עֲלֵיהֶם קְהִלָּה גְדֹולָה׃ |
| 5:8 y les dije: Nosotros según nuestras posibilidades rescatamos a nuestros hermanos judíos que habían sido vendidos a las naciones; ¿y vosotros vendéis aun a vuestros hermanos, y serán vendidos a nosotros? Y callaron, pues no tuvieron qué responder. |
And I said unto them, We after our ability have redeemed our brethren the Jews, which were sold unto the heathen; and will ye even sell your brethren? or shall they be sold unto us? Then held they their peace, and found nothing to answer. |
וָאֹמְרָה לָהֶם אֲנַחְנוּ קָנִינוּ אֶת־אַחֵינוּ הַיְּהוּדִים הַנִּמְכָּרִים לַגֹּויִם כְּדֵי בָנוּ וְגַם־אַתֶּם תִּמְכְּרוּ אֶת־אֲחֵיכֶם וְנִמְכְּרוּ־לָנוּ וַיַּחֲרִישׁוּ וְלֹא מָצְאוּ דָּבָר׃ ס |
| 5:9 Y dije: No es bueno lo que hacéis. ¿No andaréis en el temor de nuestro Dios, para no ser oprobio de las naciones enemigas nuestras? |
Also I said, It is not good that ye do: ought ye not to walk in the fear of our God because of the reproach of the heathen our enemies? |
[וַיֹּאמֶר כ] (וָאֹומַר ק) לֹא־טֹוב הַדָּבָר אֲשֶׁר־אַתֶּם עֹשִׂים הֲלֹוא בְּיִרְאַת אֱלֹהֵינוּ תֵּלֵכוּ מֵחֶרְפַּת הַגֹּויִם אֹויְבֵינוּ׃ |
| 5:10 También yo y mis hermanos y mis criados les hemos prestado dinero y grano; quitémosles ahora este gravamen. |
I likewise, and my brethren, and my servants, might exact of them money and corn: I pray you, let us leave off this usury. |
וְגַם־אֲנִי אַחַי וּנְעָרַי נֹשִׁים בָּהֶם כֶּסֶף וְדָגָן נַעַזְבָה־נָּא אֶת־הַמַּשָּׁא הַזֶּה׃ |
| 5:11 Os ruego que les devolváis hoy sus tierras, sus viñas, sus olivares y sus casas, y la centésima parte del dinero, del grano, del vino y del aceite, que demandáis de ellos como interés. |
Restore, I pray you, to them, even this day, their lands, their vineyards, their oliveyards, and their houses, also the hundredth part of the money, and of the corn, the wine, and the oil, that ye exact of them. |
הָשִׁיבוּ נָא לָהֶם כְּהַיֹּום שְׂדֹתֵיהֶם כַּרְמֵיהֶם זֵיתֵיהֶם וּבָתֵּיהֶם וּמְאַת הַכֶּסֶף וְהַדָּגָן הַתִּירֹושׁ וְהַיִּצְהָר אֲשֶׁר אַתֶּם נֹשִׁים בָּהֶם׃ |
| 5:12 Y dijeron: Lo devolveremos, y nada les demandaremos; haremos así como tú dices. Entonces convoqué a los sacerdotes, y les hice jurar que harían conforme a esto. |
Then said they, We will restore them, and will require nothing of them; so will we do as thou sayest. Then I called the priests, and took an oath of them, that they should do according to this promise. |
וַיֹּאמְרוּ נָשִׁיב וּמֵהֶם לֹא נְבַקֵּשׁ כֵּן נַעֲשֶׂה כַּאֲשֶׁר אַתָּה אֹומֵר וָאֶקְרָא אֶת־הַכֹּהֲנִים וָאַשְׁבִּיעֵם לַעֲשֹׂות כַּדָּבָר הַזֶּה׃ |
| 5:13 Además sacudí mi vestido, y dije: Así sacuda Dios de su casa y de su trabajo a todo hombre que no cumpliere esto, y así sea sacudido y vacío. Y respondió toda la congregación: ¡Amén! y alabaron a Jehová. Y el pueblo hizo conforme a esto. |
Also I shook my lap, and said, So God shake out every man from his house, and from his labour, that performeth not this promise, even thus be he shaken out, and emptied. And all the congregation said, Amen, and praised the LORD. And the people did according to this promise. |
גַּם־חָצְנִי נָעַרְתִּי וָאֹמְרָה כָּכָה יְנַעֵר הָאֱלֹהִים אֶת־כָּל־הָאִישׁ אֲשֶׁר לֹא־יָקִים אֶת־הַדָּבָר הַזֶּה מִבֵּיתֹו וּמִיגִיעֹו וְכָכָה יִהְיֶה נָעוּר וָרֵק וַיֹּאמְרוּ כָל־הַקָּהָל אָמֵן וַיְהַלְלוּ אֶת־יְהוָה וַיַּעַשׂ הָעָם כַּדָּבָר הַזֶּה׃ |
| 5:14 También desde el día que me mandó el rey que fuese gobernador de ellos en la tierra de Judá, desde el año veinte del rey Artajerjes hasta el año treinta y dos, doce años, ni yo ni mis hermanos comimos el pan del gobernador. |
Moreover from the time that I was appointed to be their governor in the land of Judah, from the twentieth year even unto the two and thirtieth year of Artaxerxes the king, that is, twelve years, I and my brethren have not eaten the bread of the governor. |
גַּם מִיֹּום ׀ אֲשֶׁר־צִוָּה אֹתִי לִהְיֹות פֶּחָם בְּאֶרֶץ יְהוּדָה מִשְּׁנַת עֶשְׂרִים וְעַד שְׁנַת שְׁלֹשִׁים וּשְׁתַּיִם לְאַרְתַּחְשַׁסְתְּא הַמֶּלֶךְ שָׁנִים שְׁתֵּים עֶשְׂרֵה אֲנִי וְאַחַי לֶחֶם הַפֶּחָה לֹא אָכַלְתִּי׃ |
| 5:15 Pero los primeros gobernadores que fueron antes de mí abrumaron al pueblo, y tomaron de ellos por el pan y por el vino más de cuarenta siclos de plata, y aun sus criados se enseñoreaban del pueblo; pero yo no hice así, a causa del temor de Dios. |
But the former governors that had been before me were chargeable unto the people, and had taken of them bread and wine, beside forty shekels of silver; yea, even their servants bare rule over the people: but so did not I, because of the fear of God. |
וְהַפַּחֹות הָרִאשֹׁנִים אֲשֶׁר־לְפָנַי הִכְבִּידוּ עַל־הָעָם וַיִּקְחוּ מֵהֶם בְּלֶחֶם וָיַיִן אַחַר כֶּסֶף־שְׁקָלִים אַרְבָּעִים גַּם נַעֲרֵיהֶם שָׁלְטוּ עַל־הָעָם וַאֲנִי לֹא־עָשִׂיתִי כֵן מִפְּנֵי יִרְאַת אֱלֹהִים׃ |
| 5:16 También en la obra de este muro restauré mi parte, y no compramos heredad; y todos mis criados juntos estaban allí en la obra. |
Yea, also I continued in the work of this wall, neither bought we any land: and all my servants were gathered thither unto the work. |
וְגַם בִּמְלֶאכֶת הַחֹומָה הַזֹּאת הֶחֱזַקְתִּי וְשָׂדֶה לֹא קָנִינוּ וְכָל־נְעָרַי קְבוּצִים שָׁם עַל־הַמְּלָאכָה׃ |
| 5:17 Además, ciento cincuenta judíos y oficiales, y los que venían de las naciones que había alrededor de nosotros, estaban a mi mesa. |
Moreover there were at my table an hundred and fifty of the Jews and rulers, beside those that came unto us from among the heathen that are about us. |
וְהַיְּהוּדִים וְהַסְּגָנִים מֵאָה וַחֲמִשִּׁים אִישׁ וְהַבָּאִים אֵלֵינוּ מִן־הַגֹּויִם אֲשֶׁר־סְבִיבֹתֵינוּ עַל־שֻׁלְחָנִי׃ |
| 5:18 Y lo que se preparaba para cada día era un buey y seis ovejas escogidas; también eran preparadas para mí aves, y cada diez días vino en toda abundancia; y con todo esto nunca requerí el pan del gobernador, porque la servidumbre de este pueblo era grave. |
Now that which was prepared for me daily was one ox and six choice sheep; also fowls were prepared for me, and once in ten days store of all sorts of wine: yet for all this required not I the bread of the governor, because the bondage was heavy upon this people. |
וַאֲשֶׁר הָיָה נַעֲשֶׂה לְיֹום אֶחָד שֹׁור אֶחָד צֹאן שֵׁשׁ־בְּרֻרֹות וְצִפֳּרִים נַעֲשׂוּ־לִי וּבֵין עֲשֶׂרֶת יָמִים בְּכָל־יַיִן לְהַרְבֵּה וְעִם־זֶה לֶחֶם הַפֶּחָה לֹא בִקַּשְׁתִּי כִּי־כָבְדָה הָעֲבֹדָה עַל־הָעָם הַזֶּה׃ |
| 5:19 Acuérdate de mí para bien, Dios mío, y de todo lo que hice por este pueblo. |
Think upon me, my God, for good, according to all that I have done for this people. |
זָכְרָה־לִּי אֱלֹהַי לְטֹובָה כֹּל אֲשֶׁר־עָשִׂיתִי עַל־הָעָם הַזֶּה׃ פ |
| 6:1 Cuando oyeron Sanbalat y Tobías y Gesem el árabe, y los demás de nuestros enemigos, que yo había edificado el muro, y que no quedaba en él portillo (aunque hasta aquel tiempo no había puesto las hojas en las puertas), |
Now it came to pass, when Sanballat, and Tobiah, and Geshem the Arabian, and the rest of our enemies, heard that I had builded the wall, and that there was no breach left therein; (though at that time I had not set up the doors upon the gates;) |
וַיְהִי כַאֲשֶׁר נִשְׁמַע לְסַנְבַלַּט וְטֹובִיָּה וּלְגֶשֶׁם הָעַרְבִי וּלְיֶתֶר אֹיְבֵינוּ כִּי בָנִיתִי אֶת־הַחֹומָה וְלֹא־נֹותַר בָּהּ פָּרֶץ גַּם עַד־הָעֵת הַהִיא דְּלָתֹות לֹא־הֶעֱמַדְתִּי בַשְּׁעָרִים׃ |
| 6:2 Sanbalat y Gesem enviaron a decirme: Ven y reunámonos en alguna de las aldeas en el campo de Ono. Mas ellos habían pensado hacerme mal. |
That Sanballat and Geshem sent unto me, saying, Come, let us meet together in some one of the villages in the plain of Ono. But they thought to do me mischief. |
וַיִּשְׁלַח סַנְבַלַּט וְגֶשֶׁם אֵלַי לֵאמֹר לְכָה וְנִוָּעֲדָה יַחְדָּו בַּכְּפִירִים בְּבִקְעַת אֹונֹו וְהֵמָּה חֹשְׁבִים לַעֲשֹׂות לִי רָעָה׃ |
| 6:3 Y les envié mensajeros, diciendo: Yo hago una gran obra, y no puedo ir; porque cesaría la obra, dejándola yo para ir a vosotros. |
And I sent messengers unto them, saying, I am doing a great work, so that I cannot come down: why should the work cease, whilst I leave it, and come down to you? |
וָאֶשְׁלְחָה עֲלֵיהֶם מַלְאָכִים לֵאמֹר מְלָאכָה גְדֹולָה אֲנִי עֹשֶׂה וְלֹא אוּכַל לָרֶדֶת לָמָּה תִשְׁבַּת הַמְּלָאכָה כַּאֲשֶׁר אַרְפֶּהָ וְיָרַדְתִּי אֲלֵיכֶם׃ |
| 6:4 Y enviaron a mí con el mismo asunto hasta cuatro veces, y yo les respondí de la misma manera. |
Yet they sent unto me four times after this sort; and I answered them after the same manner. |

| 6:5 Entonces Sanbalat envió a mí su criado para decir lo mismo por quinta vez, con una carta abierta en su mano, |
Then sent Sanballat his servant unto me in like manner the fifth time with an open letter in his hand; |
וַיִּשְׁלַח אֵלַי סַנְבַלַּט כַּדָּבָר הַזֶּה פַּעַם חֲמִישִׁית אֶת־נַעֲרֹו וְאִגֶּרֶת פְּתוּחָה בְּיָדֹו׃ |
| 6:6 en la cual estaba escrito: Se ha oído entre las naciones, y Gasmu lo dice, que tú y los judíos pensáis rebelaros; y que por eso edificas tú el muro, con la mira, según estas palabras, de ser tú su rey; |
Wherein was written, It is reported among the heathen, and Gashmu saith it, that thou and the Jews think to rebel: for which cause thou buildest the wall, that thou mayest be their king, according to these words. |
כָּתוּב בָּהּ בַּגֹּויִם נִשְׁמָע וְגַשְׁמוּ אֹמֵר אַתָּה וְהַיְּהוּדִים חֹשְׁבִים לִמְרֹוד עַל־כֵּן אַתָּה בֹונֶה הַחֹומָה וְאַתָּה הֹוֶה לָהֶם לְמֶלֶךְ כַּדְּבָרִים הָאֵלֶּה׃ |
| 6:7 y que has puesto profetas que proclamen acerca de ti en Jerusalén, diciendo: ¡Hay rey en Judá! Y Ahora serán oídas del rey las tales palabras; ven, por tanto, y consultemos juntos. |
And thou hast also appointed prophets to preach of thee at Jerusalem, saying, There is a king in Judah: and now shall it be reported to the king according to these words. Come now therefore, and let us take counsel together. |
וְגַם־נְבִיאִים הֶעֱמַדְתָּ לִקְרֹא עָלֶיךָ בִירוּשָׁלִַם לֵאמֹר מֶלֶךְ בִּיהוּדָה וְעַתָּה יִשָּׁמַע לַמֶּלֶךְ כַּדְּבָרִים הָאֵלֶּה וְעַתָּה לְכָה וְנִוָּעֲצָה יַחְדָּו׃ ס |
| 6:8 Entonces envié yo a decirle: No hay tal cosa como dices, sino que de tu corazón tú lo inventas. |
Then I sent unto him, saying, There are no such things done as thou sayest, but thou feignest them out of thine own heart. |
וָאֶשְׁלְחָה אֵלָיו לֵאמֹר לֹא נִהְיָה כַּדְּבָרִים הָאֵלֶּה אֲשֶׁר אַתָּה אֹומֵר כִּי מִלִּבְּךָ אַתָּה בֹודָאם |
| 6:9 Porque todos ellos nos amedrentaban, diciendo: Se debilitarán las manos de ellos en la obra, y no será terminada. Ahora, pues, oh Dios, fortalece tú mis manos. |
For they all made us afraid, saying, Their hands shall be weakened from the work, that it be not done. Now therefore, O God, strengthen my hands. |
כִּי כֻלָּם מְיָרְאִים אֹותָנוּ לֵאמֹר יִרְפּוּ יְדֵיהֶם מִן־הַמְּלָאכָה וְלֹא תֵעָשֶׂה וְעַתָּה חַזֵּק אֶת־יָדָי׃ |
| 6:10 Vine luego a casa de Semaías hijo de Delaía, hijo de Mehetabel, porque él estaba encerrado; el cual me dijo: Reunámonos en la casa de Dios, dentro del templo, y cerremos las puertas del templo, porque vienen para matarte; sí, esta noche vendrán a matarte. |
Afterward I came unto the house of Shemaiah the son of Delaiah the son of Mehetabeel, who was shut up; and he said, Let us meet together in the house of God, within the temple, and let us shut the doors of the temple: for they will come to slay thee; yea, in the night will they come to slay thee. |
וַאֲנִי־בָאתִי בֵּית שְׁמַעְיָה בֶן־דְּלָיָה בֶּן־מְהֵיטַבְאֵל וְהוּא עָצוּר וַיֹּאמֶר נִוָּעֵד אֶל־בֵּית הָאֱלֹהִים אֶל־תֹּוךְ הַהֵיכָל וְנִסְגְּרָה דַּלְתֹות הַהֵיכָל כִּי בָּאִים לְהָרְגֶךָ וְלַיְלָה בָּאִים לְהָרְגֶךָ׃ |
| 6:11 Entonces dije: ¿Un hombre como yo ha de huir? ¿Y quién, que fuera como yo, entraría al templo para salvarse la vida? No entraré. |
And I said, Should such a man as I flee? and who is there, that, being as I am, would go into the temple to save his life? I will not go in. |
וָאֹמְרָה הַאִישׁ כָּמֹונִי יִבְרָח וּמִי כָמֹונִי אֲשֶׁר־יָבֹוא אֶל־הַהֵיכָל וָחָי לֹא אָבֹוא׃ |
| 6:12 Y entendí que Dios no lo había enviado, sino que hablaba aquella profecía contra mí porque Tobías y Sanbalat lo habían sobornado. |
And, lo, I perceived that God had not sent him; but that he pronounced this prophecy against me: for Tobiah and Sanballat had hired him. |
וָאַכִּירָה וְהִנֵּה לֹא־אֱלֹהִים שְׁלָחֹו כִּי הַנְּבוּאָה דִּבֶּר עָלַי וְטֹובִיָּה וְסַנְבַלַּט שְׂכָרֹו׃ |
| 6:13 Porque fue sobornado para hacerme temer así, y que pecase, y les sirviera de mal nombre con que fuera yo infamado. |
Therefore was he hired, that I should be afraid, and do so, and sin, and that they might have matter for an evil report, that they might reproach me. |
לְמַעַן שָׂכוּר הוּא לְמַעַן־אִירָא וְאֶעֱשֶׂה־כֵּן וְחָטָאתִי וְהָיָה לָהֶם לְשֵׁם רָע לְמַעַן יְחָרְפוּנִי׃ פ |
| 6:14 Acuérdate, Dios mío, de Tobías y de Sanbalat, conforme a estas cosas que hicieron; también acuérdate de Noadías profetisa, y de los otros profetas que procuraban infundirme miedo. |
My God, think thou upon Tobiah and Sanballat according to these their works, and on the prophetess Noadiah, and the rest of the prophets, that would have put me in fear. |
זָכְרָה אֱלֹהַי לְטֹובִיָּה וּלְסַנְבַלַּט כְּמַעֲשָׂיו אֵלֶּה וְגַם לְנֹועַדְיָה הַנְּבִיאָה וּלְיֶתֶר הַנְּבִיאִים אֲשֶׁר הָיוּ מְיָרְאִים אֹותִי׃ |
| 6:15 Fue terminado, pues, el muro, el veinticinco del mes de Elul, en cincuenta y dos días. |
So the wall was finished in the twenty and fifth day of the month Elul, in fifty and two days. |
וַתִּשְׁלַם הַחֹומָה בְּעֶשְׂרִים וַחֲמִשָּׁה לֶאֱלוּל לַחֲמִשִּׁים וּשְׁנַיִם יֹום׃ פ |
| 6:16 Y cuando lo oyeron todos nuestros enemigos, temieron todas las naciones que estaban alrededor de nosotros, y se sintieron humillados, y conocieron que por nuestro Dios había sido hecha esta obra. |
And it came to pass, that when all our enemies heard thereof, and all the heathen that were about us saw these things, they were much cast down in their own eyes: for they perceived that this work was wrought of our God. |
וַיְהִי כַּאֲשֶׁר שָׁמְעוּ כָּל־אֹויְבֵינוּ וַיִּרְאוּ כָּל־הַגֹּויִם אֲשֶׁר סְבִיבֹתֵינוּ וַיִּפְּלוּ מְאֹד בְּעֵינֵיהֶם וַיֵּדְעוּ כִּי מֵאֵת אֱלֹהֵינוּ נֶעֶשְׂתָה הַמְּלָאכָה הַזֹּאת׃ |
| 6:17 Asimismo en aquellos días iban muchas cartas de los principales de Judá a Tobías, y las de Tobías venían a ellos. |
Moreover in those days the nobles of Judah sent many letters unto Tobiah, and the letters of Tobiah came unto them. |
גַּם ׀ בַּיָּמִים הָהֵם מַרְבִּים חֹרֵי יְהוּדָה אִגְּרֹתֵיהֶם הֹולְכֹות עַל־טֹובִיָּה וַאֲשֶׁר לְטֹובִיָּה בָּאֹות אֲלֵיהֶם׃ |
| 6:18 Porque muchos en Judá se habían conjurado con él, porque era yerno de Secanías hijo de Ara; y Johanán su hijo había tomado por mujer a la hija de Mesulam hijo de Berequías. |
For there were many in Judah sworn unto him, because he was the son in law of Shechaniah the son of Arah; and his son Johanan had taken the daughter of Meshullam the son of Berechiah. |
כִּי־רַבִּים בִּיהוּדָה בַּעֲלֵי שְׁבוּעָה לֹו כִּי־חָתָן הוּא לִשְׁכַנְיָה בֶן־אָרַח וִיהֹוחָנָן בְּנֹו לָקַח אֶת־בַּת־מְשֻׁלָּם בֶּן בֶּרֶכְיָה׃ |
| 6:19 También contaban delante de mí las buenas obras de él, y a él le referían mis palabras. Y enviaba Tobías cartas para atemorizarme. |
Also they reported his good deeds before me, and uttered my words to him. And Tobiah sent letters to put me in fear. |
גַּם טֹובֹתָיו הָיוּ אֹמְרִים לְפָנַי וּדְבָרַי הָיוּ מֹוצִיאִים לֹו אִגְּרֹות שָׁלַח טֹובִיָּה לְיָרְאֵנִי׃ |
| 7:1 Luego que el muro fue edificado, y colocadas las puertas, y fueron señalados porteros y cantores y levitas, |
Now it came to pass, when the wall was built, and I had set up the doors, and the porters and the singers and the Levites were appointed, |
וַיְהִי כַּאֲשֶׁר נִבְנְתָה הַחֹומָה וָאַעֲמִיד הַדְּלָתֹות וַיִּפָּקְדוּ הַשֹּׁועֲרִים וְהַמְשֹׁרְרִים וְהַלְוִיִּם׃ |
| 7:2 mandé a mi hermano Hanani, y a Hananías, jefe de la fortaleza de Jerusalén (porque éste era varón de verdad y temeroso de Dios, más que muchos); |
That I gave my brother Hanani, and Hananiah the ruler of the palace, charge over Jerusalem: for he was a faithful man, and feared God above many. |
וָאֲצַוֶּה אֶת־חֲנָנִי אָחִי וְאֶת־חֲנַנְיָה שַׂר הַבִּירָה עַל־יְרוּשָׁלִָם כִּי־הוּא כְּאִישׁ אֱמֶת וְיָרֵא אֶת־הָאֱלֹהִים מֵרַבִּים׃ |
| 7:3 y les dije: No se abran las puertas de Jerusalén hasta que caliente el sol; y aunque haya gente allí, cerrad las puertas y atrancadlas. Y señalé guardas de los moradores de Jerusalén, cada cual en su turno, y cada uno delante de su casa. |
And I said unto them, Let not the gates of Jerusalem be opened until the sun be hot; and while they stand by, let them shut the doors, and bar them: and appoint watches of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, every one in his watch, and every one to be over against his house. |
[וַיֹּאמֶר כ] (וָאֹמַר ק) לָהֶם לֹא יִפָּתְחוּ שַׁעֲרֵי יְרוּשָׁלִַם עַד־חֹם הַשֶּׁמֶשׁ וְעַד הֵם עֹמְדִים יָגִיפוּ הַדְּלָתֹות וֶאֱחֹזוּ וְהַעֲמֵיד מִשְׁמְרֹות יֹשְׁבֵי יְרוּשָׁלִַם אִישׁ בְּמִשְׁמָרֹו וְאִישׁ נֶגֶד בֵּיתֹו׃ |
| 7:4 Porque la ciudad era espaciosa y grande, pero poco pueblo dentro de ella, y no había casas reedificadas. |
Now the city was large and great: but the people were few therein, and the houses were not builded. |
וְהָעִיר רַחֲבַת יָדַיִם וּגְדֹולָה וְהָעָם מְעַט בְּתֹוכָהּ וְאֵין בָּתִּים בְּנוּיִם׃ |
| 7:5 Entonces puso Dios en mi corazón que reuniese a los nobles y oficiales y al pueblo, para que fuesen empadronados según sus genealogías. Y hallé el libro de la genealogía de los que habían subido antes, y encontré en él escrito así: |
And my God put into mine heart to gather together the nobles, and the rulers, and the people, that they might be reckoned by genealogy. And I found a register of the genealogy of them which came up at the first, and found written therein, |
וַיִּתֵּן אֱלֹהַי אֶל־לִבִּי וָאֶקְבְּצָה אֶת־הַחֹרִים וְאֶת־הַסְּגָנִים וְאֶת־הָעָם לְהִתְיַחֵשׂ וָאֶמְצָא סֵפֶר הַיַּחַשׂ הָעֹולִים בָּרִאשֹׁונָה וָאֶמְצָא כָּתוּב בֹּו׃ פ |

וּמִן־הַכֹּהֲנִים בְּנֵי חֳבַיָּה בְּנֵי הַקֹּוץ בְּנֵי בַרְזִלַּי אֲשֶׁר לָקַח מִבְּנֹות בַּרְזִלַּי הַגִּלְעָדִי אִשָּׁה וַיִּקָּרֵא עַל־שְׁמָם׃ |
| 7:64 Estos buscaron su registro de genealogías, y no se halló; y fueron excluidos del sacerdocio, |
These sought their register among those that were reckoned by genealogy, but it was not found: therefore were they, as polluted, put from the priesthood. |
אֵלֶּה בִּקְשׁוּ כְתָבָם הַמִּתְיַחְשִׂים וְלֹא נִמְצָא וַיְגֹאֲלוּ מִן־הַכְּהֻנָּה׃ |
| 7:65 y les dijo el gobernador que no comiesen de las cosas más santas, hasta que hubiese sacerdote con Urim y Tumim. |
And the Tirshatha said unto them, that they should not eat of the most holy things, till there stood up a priest with Urim and Thummim. |
וַיֹּאמֶר הַתִּרְשָׁתָא לָהֶם אֲשֶׁר לֹא־יֹאכְלוּ מִקֹּדֶשׁ הַקֳּדָשִׁים עַד עֲמֹד הַכֹּהֵן לְאוּרִים וְתוּמִּים׃ |
| 7:66 Toda la congregación junta era de cuarenta y dos mil trescientos sesenta, |
The whole congregation together was forty and two thousand three hundred and threescore, |
כָּל־הַקָּהָל כְּאֶחָד אַרְבַּע רִבֹּוא אַלְפַּיִם שְׁלֹשׁ־מֵאֹות וְשִׁשִּׁים׃ |

Beside their manservants and their maidservants, of whom there were seven thousand three hundred thirty and seven: and they had two hundred forty and five singing men and singing women. |

גְּמַלִּים אַרְבַּע מֵאֹות שְׁלֹשִׁים וַחֲמִשָּׁה ס חֲמֹרִים שֵׁשֶׁת אֲלָפִים שְׁבַע מֵאֹות וְעֶשְׂרִים׃ |
| 7:70 Y algunos de los cabezas de familias dieron ofrendas para la obra. El gobernador dio para el tesoro mil dracmas de oro, cincuenta tazones, y quinientas treinta vestiduras sacerdotales. |
And some of the chief of the fathers gave unto the work. The Tirshatha gave to the treasure a thousand drams of gold, fifty basons, five hundred and thirty priests' garments. |
וּמִקְצָת רָאשֵׁי הָאָבֹות נָתְנוּ לַמְּלָאכָה הַתִּרְשָׁתָא נָתַן לָאֹוצָר זָהָב דַּרְכְּמֹנִים אֶלֶף מִזְרָקֹות חֲמִשִּׁים כָּתְנֹות כֹּהֲנִים שְׁלֹשִׁים וַחֲמֵשׁ מֵאֹות׃ |
| 7:71 Los cabezas de familias dieron para el tesoro de la obra veinte mil dracmas de oro y dos mil doscientas libras de plata. |
And some of the chief of the fathers gave to the treasure of the work twenty thousand drams of gold, and two thousand and two hundred pound of silver. |
וּמֵרָאשֵׁי הָאָבֹות נָתְנוּ לְאֹוצַר הַמְּלָאכָה זָהָב דַּרְכְּמֹונִים שְׁתֵּי רִבֹּות וְכֶסֶף מָנִים אַלְפַּיִם וּמָאתָיִם׃ |
| 7:72 Y el resto del pueblo dio veinte mil dracmas de oro, dos mil libras de plata, y sesenta y siete vestiduras sacerdotales. |
And that which the rest of the people gave was twenty thousand drams of gold, and two thousand pound of silver, and threescore and seven priests' garments. |
וַאֲשֶׁר נָתְנוּ שְׁאֵרִית הָעָם זָהָב דַּרְכְּמֹונִים שְׁתֵּי רִבֹּוא וְכֶסֶף מָנִים אַלְפָּיִם וְכָתְנֹת כֹּהֲנִים שִׁשִּׁים וְשִׁבְעָה׃ פ |
| 7:73 Y habitaron los sacerdotes, los levitas, los porteros, los cantores, los del pueblo, los sirvientes del templo y todo Israel, en sus ciudades. |
So the priests, and the Levites, and the porters, and the singers, and some of the people, and the Nethinims, and all Israel, dwelt in their cities; and when the seventh month came, the children of Israel were in their cities. |
וַיֵּשְׁבוּ הַכֹּהֲנִים וְהַלְוִיִּם וְהַשֹּׁועֲרִים וְהַמְשֹׁרְרִים וּמִן־הָעָם וְהַנְּתִינִים וְכָל־יִשְׂרָאֵל בְּעָרֵיהֶם וַיִּגַּע הַחֹדֶשׁ הַשְּׁבִיעִי וּבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל בְּעָרֵיהֶם׃ |
| 8:1 y se juntó todo el pueblo como un solo hombre en la plaza que está delante de la puerta de las Aguas, y dijeron a Esdras el escriba que trajese el libro de la ley de Moisés, la cual Jehová había dado a Israel. |
And all the people gathered themselves together as one man into the street that was before the water gate; and they spake unto Ezra the scribe to bring the book of the law of Moses, which the LORD had commanded to Israel. |
וַיֵּאָסְפוּ כָל־הָעָם כְּאִישׁ אֶחָד אֶל־הָרְחֹוב אֲשֶׁר לִפְנֵי שַׁעַר־הַמָּיִם וַיֹּאמְרוּ לְעֶזְרָא הַסֹּפֵר לְהָבִיא אֶת־סֵפֶר תֹּורַת מֹשֶׁה אֲשֶׁר־צִוָּה יְהוָה אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵל׃ |
| 8:2 Y el sacerdote Esdras trajo la ley delante de la congregación, así de hombres como de mujeres y de todos los que podían entender, el primer día del mes séptimo. |
And Ezra the priest brought the law before the congregation both of men and women, and all that could hear with understanding, upon the first day of the seventh month. |
וַיָּבִיא עֶזְרָא הַכֹּהֵן אֶת־הַתֹּורָה לִפְנֵי הַקָּהָל מֵאִישׁ וְעַד־אִשָּׁה וְכֹל מֵבִין לִשְׁמֹעַ בְּיֹום אֶחָד לַחֹדֶשׁ הַשְּׁבִיעִי׃ |
| 8:3 Y leyó en el libro delante de la plaza que está delante de la puerta de las Aguas, desde el alba hasta el mediodía, en presencia de hombres y mujeres y de todos los que podían entender; y los oídos de todo el pueblo estaban atentos al libro de la ley. |
And he read therein before the street that was before the water gate from the morning until midday, before the men and the women, and those that could understand; and the ears of all the people were attentive unto the book of the law. |
וַיִּקְרָא־בֹו לִפְנֵי הָרְחֹוב אֲשֶׁר ׀ לִפְנֵי שַׁעַר־הַמַּיִם מִן־הָאֹור עַד־מַחֲצִית הַיֹּום נֶגֶד הָאֲנָשִׁים וְהַנָּשִׁים וְהַמְּבִינִים וְאָזְנֵי כָל־הָעָם אֶל־סֵפֶר הַתֹּורָה׃ |
| 8:4 Y el escriba Esdras estaba sobre un púlpito de madera que habían hecho para ello, y junto a él estaban Matatías, Sema, Anías, Urías, Hilcías y Maasías a su mano derecha; y a su mano izquierda, Pedaías, Misael, Malquías, Hasum, Hasbadana, Zacarías y Mesulam. |
And Ezra the scribe stood upon a pulpit of wood, which they had made for the purpose; and beside him stood Mattithiah, and Shema, and Anaiah, and Urijah, and Hilkiah, and Maaseiah, on his right hand; and on his left hand, Pedaiah, and Mishael, and Malchiah, and Hashum, and Hashbadana, Zechariah, and Meshullam. |
וַיַּעֲמֹד עֶזְרָא הַסֹּפֵר עַל־מִגְדַּל־עֵץ אֲשֶׁר עָשׂוּ לַדָּבָר וַיַּעֲמֹד אֶצְלֹו מַתִּתְיָה וְשֶׁמַע וַעֲנָיָה וְאוּרִיָּה וְחִלְקִיָּה וּמַעֲשֵׂיָה עַל־יְמִינֹו וּמִשְּׂמֹאלֹו פְּדָיָה וּמִישָׁאֵל וּמַלְכִּיָּה וְחָשֻׁם וְחַשְׁבַּדָּנָה זְכַרְיָה מְשֻׁלָּם׃ פ |
| 8:5 Abrió, pues, Esdras el libro a ojos de todo el pueblo, porque estaba más alto que todo el pueblo; y cuando lo abrió, todo el pueblo estuvo atento. |
And Ezra opened the book in the sight of all the people; (for he was above all the people;) and when he opened it, all the people stood up: |
וַיִּפְתַּח עֶזְרָא הַסֵּפֶר לְעֵינֵי כָל־הָעָם כִּי־מֵעַל כָּל־הָעָם הָיָה וּכְפִתְחֹו עָמְדוּ כָל־הָעָם׃ |
| 8:6 Bendijo entonces Esdras a Jehová, Dios grande. Y todo el pueblo respondió: ¡Amén! ¡Amén! alzando sus manos; y se humillaron y adoraron a Jehová inclinados a tierra. |
And Ezra blessed the LORD, the great God. And all the people answered, Amen, Amen, with lifting up their hands: and they bowed their heads, and worshipped the LORD with their faces to the ground. |
וַיְבָרֶךְ עֶזְרָא אֶת־יְהוָה הָאֱלֹהִים הַגָּדֹול וַיַּעֲנוּ כָל־הָעָם אָמֵן ׀ אָמֵן בְּמֹעַל יְדֵיהֶם וַיִּקְּדוּ וַיִּשְׁתַּחֲוֻּ לַיהוָה אַפַּיִם אָרְצָה׃ |
| 8:7 Y los levitas Jesúa, Bani, Serebías, Jamín, Acub, Sabetai, Hodías, Maasías, Kelita, Azarías, Jozabed, Hanán y Pelaía, hacían entender al pueblo la ley; y el pueblo estaba atento en su lugar. |
Also Jeshua, and Bani, and Sherebiah, Jamin, Akkub, Shabbethai, Hodijah, Maaseiah, Kelita, Azariah, Jozabad, Hanan, Pelaiah, and the Levites, caused the people to understand the law: and the people stood in their place. |
וְיֵשׁוּעַ וּבָנִי וְשֵׁרֵבְיָה ׀ יָמִין עַקּוּב שַׁבְּתַי ׀ הֹודִיָּה מַעֲשֵׂיָה קְלִיטָא עֲזַרְיָה יֹוזָבָד חָנָן פְּלָאיָה וְהַלְוִיִּם מְבִינִים אֶת־הָעָם לַתֹּורָה וְהָעָם עַל־עָמְדָם׃ |
| 8:8 Y leían en el libro de la ley de Dios claramente, y ponían el sentido, de modo que entendiesen la lectura. |
So they read in the book in the law of God distinctly, and gave the sense, and caused them to understand the reading. |
וַיִּקְרְאוּ בַסֵּפֶר בְּתֹורַת הָאֱלֹהִים מְפֹרָשׁ וְשֹׂום שֶׂכֶל וַיָּבִינוּ בַּמִּקְרָא׃ ס |
| 8:9 Y Nehemías el gobernador, y el sacerdote Esdras, escriba, y los levitas que hacían entender al pueblo, dijeron a todo el pueblo: Día santo es a Jehová nuestro Dios; no os entristezcáis, ni lloréis; porque todo el pueblo lloraba oyendo las palabras de la ley. |
And Nehemiah, which is the Tirshatha, and Ezra the priest the scribe, and the Levites that taught the people, said unto all the people, This day is holy unto the LORD your God; mourn not, nor weep. For all the people wept, when they heard the words of the law. |
וַיֹּאמֶר נְחֶמְיָה הוּא הַתִּרְשָׁתָא וְעֶזְרָא הַכֹּהֵן ׀ הַסֹּפֵר וְהַלְוִיִּם הַמְּבִינִים אֶת־הָעָם לְכָל־הָעָם הַיֹּום קָדֹשׁ־הוּא לַיהוָה אֱלֹהֵיכֶם אַל־תִּתְאַבְּלוּ וְאַל־תִּבְכּוּ כִּי בֹוכִים כָּל־הָעָם כְּשָׁמְעָם אֶת־דִּבְרֵי הַתֹּורָה׃ |
| 8:10 Luego les dijo: Id, comed grosuras, y bebed vino dulce, y enviad porciones a los que no tienen nada preparado; porque día santo es a nuestro Señor; no os entristezcáis, porque el gozo de Jehová es vuestra fuerza. |
Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength. |
וַיֹּאמֶר לָהֶם לְכוּ אִכְלוּ מַשְׁמַנִּים וּשְׁתוּ מַמְתַקִּים וְשִׁלְחוּ מָנֹות לְאֵין נָכֹון לֹו כִּי־קָדֹושׁ הַיֹּום לַאֲדֹנֵינוּ וְאַל־תֵּעָצֵבוּ כִּי־חֶדְוַת יְהוָה הִיא מָעֻזְּכֶם׃ |
| 8:11 Los levitas, pues, hacían callar a todo el pueblo, diciendo: Callad, porque es día santo, y no os entristezcáis. |
So the Levites stilled all the people, saying, Hold your peace, for the day is holy; neither be ye grieved. |
וְהַלְוִיִּם מַחְשִׁים לְכָל־הָעָם לֵאמֹר הַסּוּ כִּי הַיֹּום קָדֹשׁ וְאַל־תֵּעָצֵבוּ׃ |
| 8:12 Y todo el pueblo se fue a comer y a beber, y a obsequiar porciones, y a gozar de grande alegría, porque habían entendido las palabras que les habían enseñado. |
And all the people went their way to eat, and to drink, and to send portions, and to make great mirth, because they had understood the words that were declared unto them. |
וַיֵּלְכוּ כָל־הָעָם לֶאֱכֹל וְלִשְׁתֹּות וּלְשַׁלַּח מָנֹות וְלַעֲשֹׂות שִׂמְחָה גְדֹולָה כִּי הֵבִינוּ בַּדְּבָרִים אֲשֶׁר הֹודִיעוּ לָהֶם׃ ס |
| 8:13 Al día siguiente se reunieron los cabezas de las familias de todo el pueblo, sacerdotes y levitas, a Esdras el escriba, para entender las palabras de la ley. |
And on the second day were gathered together the chief of the fathers of all the people, the priests, and the Levites, unto Ezra the scribe, even to understand the words of the law. |
וּבַיֹּום הַשֵּׁנִי נֶאֶסְפוּ רָאשֵׁי הָאָבֹות לְכָל־הָעָם הַכֹּהֲנִים וְהַלְוִיִּם אֶל־עֶזְרָא הַסֹּפֵר וּלְהַשְׂכִּיל אֶל־דִּבְרֵי הַתֹּורָה׃ |
| 8:14 Y hallaron escrito en la ley que Jehová había mandado por mano de Moisés, que habitasen los hijos de Israel en tabernáculos en la fiesta solemne del mes séptimo; |
And they found written in the law which the LORD had commanded by Moses, that the children of Israel should dwell in booths in the feast of the seventh month: |
וַיִּמְצְאוּ כָּתוּב בַּתֹּורָה אֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יְהוָה בְּיַד־מֹשֶׁה אֲשֶׁר יֵשְׁבוּ בְנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵל בַּסֻּכֹּות בֶּחָג בַּחֹדֶשׁ הַשְּׁבִיעִי׃ |
| 8:15 y que hiciesen saber, y pasar pregón por todas sus ciudades y por Jerusalén, diciendo: Salid al monte, y traed ramas de olivo, de olivo silvestre, de arrayán, de palmeras y de todo árbol frondoso, para hacer tabernáculos, como está escrito. |
And that they should publish and proclaim in all their cities, and in Jerusalem, saying, Go forth unto the mount, and fetch olive branches, and pine branches, and myrtle branches, and palm branches, and branches of thick trees, to make booths, as it is written. |
וַאֲשֶׁר יַשְׁמִיעוּ וְיַעֲבִירוּ קֹול בְּכָל־עָרֵיהֶם וּבִירוּשָׁלִַם לֵאמֹר צְאוּ הָהָר וְהָבִיאוּ עֲלֵי־זַיִת וַעֲלֵי־עֵץ שֶׁמֶן וַעֲלֵי הֲדַס וַעֲלֵי תְמָרִים וַעֲלֵי עֵץ עָבֹת לַעֲשֹׂת סֻכֹּת כַּכָּתוּב׃ פ |
| 8:16 Salió, pues, el pueblo, y trajeron ramas e hicieron tabernáculos, cada uno sobre su terrado, en sus patios, en los patios de la casa de Dios, en la plaza de la puerta de las Aguas, y en la plaza de la puerta de Efraín. |
So the people went forth, and brought them, and made themselves booths, every one upon the roof of his house, and in their courts, and in the courts of the house of God, and in the street of the water gate, and in the street of the gate of Ephraim. |
וַיֵּצְאוּ הָעָם וַיָּבִיאוּ וַיַּעֲשׂוּ לָהֶם סֻכֹּות אִישׁ עַל־גַּגֹּו וּבְחַצְרֹתֵיהֶם וּבְחַצְרֹות בֵּית הָאֱלֹהִים וּבִרְחֹוב שַׁעַר הַמַּיִם וּבִרְחֹוב שַׁעַר אֶפְרָיִם׃ |
| 8:17 Y toda la congregación que volvió de la cautividad hizo tabernáculos, y en tabernáculos habitó; porque desde los días de Josué hijo de Nun hasta aquel día, no habían hecho así los hijos de Israel. Y hubo alegría muy grande. |
And all the congregation of them that were come again out of the captivity made booths, and sat under the booths: for since the days of Jeshua the son of Nun unto that day had not the children of Israel done so. And there was very great gladness. |
וַיַּעֲשׂוּ כָל־הַקָּהָל הַשָּׁבִים מִן־הַשְּׁבִי ׀ סֻכֹּות וַיֵּשְׁבוּ בַסֻּכֹּות כִּי לֹא־עָשׂוּ מִימֵי יֵשׁוּעַ בִּן־נוּן כֵּן בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל עַד הַיֹּום הַהוּא וַתְּהִי שִׂמְחָה גְּדֹולָה מְאֹד׃ |
| 8:18 Y leyó Esdras en el libro de la ley de Dios cada día, desde el primer día hasta el último; e hicieron la fiesta solemne por siete días, y el octavo día fue de solemne asamblea, según el rito. |
Also day by day, from the first day unto the last day, he read in the book of the law of God. And they kept the feast seven days; and on the eighth day was a solemn assembly, according unto the manner. |
וַיִּקְרָא בְּסֵפֶר תֹּורַת הָאֱלֹהִים יֹום ׀ בְּיֹום מִן־הַיֹּום הָרִאשֹׁון עַד הַיֹּום הָאַחֲרֹון וַיַּעֲשׂוּ־חָג שִׁבְעַת יָמִים וּבַיֹּום הַשְּׁמִינִי עֲצֶרֶת כַּמִּשְׁפָּט׃ פ |
| 9:1 El día veinticuatro del mismo mes se reunieron los hijos de Israel en ayuno, y con cilicio y tierra sobre sí. |
Now in the twenty and fourth day of this month the children of Israel were assembled with fasting, and with sackclothes, and earth upon them. |
וּבְיֹום עֶשְׂרִים וְאַרְבָּעָה לַחֹדֶשׁ הַזֶּה נֶאֶסְפוּ בְנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵל בְּצֹום וּבְשַׂקִּים וַאֲדָמָה עֲלֵיהֶם׃ |
| 9:2 Y ya se había apartado la descendencia de Israel de todos los extranjeros; y estando en pie, confesaron sus pecados, y las iniquidades de sus padres. |
And the seed of Israel separated themselves from all strangers, and stood and confessed their sins, and the iniquities of their fathers. |
וַיִּבָּדְלוּ זֶרַע יִשְׂרָאֵל מִכֹּל בְּנֵי נֵכָר וַיַּעַמְדוּ וַיִּתְוַדּוּ עַל־חַטֹּאתֵיהֶם וַעֲוֹנֹות אֲבֹתֵיהֶם׃ |
| 9:3 Y puestos de pie en su lugar, leyeron el libro de la ley de Jehová su Dios la cuarta parte del día, y la cuarta parte confesaron sus pecados y adoraron a Jehová su Dios. |
And they stood up in their place, and read in the book of the law of the LORD their God one fourth part of the day; and another fourth part they confessed, and worshipped the LORD their God. |
וַיָּקוּמוּ עַל־עָמְדָם וַיִּקְרְאוּ בְּסֵפֶר תֹּורַת יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵיהֶם רְבִעִית הַיֹּום וּרְבִעִית מִתְוַדִּים וּמִשְׁתַּחֲוִים לַיהוָה אֱלֹהֵיהֶם׃ פ |
| 9:4 Luego se levantaron sobre la grada de los levitas, Jesúa, Bani, Cadmiel, Sebanías, Buni, Serebías, Bani y Quenani, y clamaron en voz alta a Jehová su Dios. |
Then stood up upon the stairs, of the Levites, Jeshua, and Bani, Kadmiel, Shebaniah, Bunni, Sherebiah, Bani, and Chenani, and cried with a loud voice unto the LORD their God. |
וַיָּקָם עַל־מַעֲלֵה הַלְוִיִּם יֵשׁוּעַ וּבָנִי קַדְמִיאֵל שְׁבַנְיָה בֻּנִּי שֵׁרֵבְיָה בָּנִי כְנָנִי וַיִּזְעֲקוּ בְּקֹול גָּדֹול אֶל־יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵיהֶם׃ |
| 9:5 Y dijeron los levitas Jesúa, Cadmiel, Bani, Hasabnías, Serebías, Hodías, Sebanías y Petaías: Levantaos, bendecid a Jehová vuestro Dios desde la eternidad hasta la eternidad; y bendígase el nombre tuyo, glorioso y alto sobre toda bendición y alabanza. |
Then the Levites, Jeshua, and Kadmiel, Bani, Hashabniah, Sherebiah, Hodijah, Shebaniah, and Pethahiah, said, Stand up and bless the LORD your God for ever and ever: and blessed be thy glorious name, which is exalted above all blessing and praise. |
וַיֹּאמְרוּ הַלְוִיִּם יֵשׁוּעַ וְקַדְמִיאֵל בָּנִי חֲשַׁבְנְיָה שֵׁרֵבְיָה הֹודִיָּה שְׁבַנְיָה פְתַחְיָה קוּמוּ בָּרֲכוּ אֶת־יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵיכֶם מִן־הָעֹולָם עַד־הָעֹולָם וִיבָרְכוּ שֵׁם כְּבֹודֶךָ וּמְרֹומַם עַל־כָּל־בְּרָכָה וּתְהִלָּה׃ |
| 9:6 Tú solo eres Jehová; tú hiciste los cielos, y los cielos de los cielos, con todo su ejército, la tierra y todo lo que está en ella, los mares y todo lo que hay en ellos; y tú vivificas todas estas cosas, y los ejércitos de los cielos te adoran. |
Thou, even thou, art LORD alone; thou hast made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth, and all things that are therein, the seas, and all that is therein, and thou preservest them all; and the host of heaven worshippeth thee. |
אַתָּה־הוּא יְהוָה לְבַדֶּךָ [אַתְּ כ] (אַתָּה ק) עָשִׂיתָ אֶת־הַשָּׁמַיִם שְׁמֵי הַשָּׁמַיִם וְכָל־צְבָאָם הָאָרֶץ וְכָל־אֲשֶׁר עָלֶיהָ הַיַּמִּים וְכָל־אֲשֶׁר בָּהֶם וְאַתָּה מְחַיֶּה אֶת־כֻּלָּם וּצְבָא הַשָּׁמַיִם לְךָ מִשְׁתַּחֲוִים׃ |
| 9:7 Tú eres, oh Jehová, el Dios que escogiste a Abram, y lo sacaste de Ur de los caldeos, y le pusiste el nombre Abraham; |
Thou art the LORD the God, who didst choose Abram, and broughtest him forth out of Ur of the Chaldees, and gavest him the name of Abraham; |
אַתָּה־הוּא יְהוָה הָאֱלֹהִים אֲשֶׁר בָּחַרְתָּ בְּאַבְרָם וְהֹוצֵאתֹו מֵאוּר כַּשְׂדִּים וְשַׂמְתָּ שְּׁמֹו אַבְרָהָם׃ |
| 9:8 y hallaste fiel su corazón delante de ti, e hiciste pacto con él para darle la tierra del cananeo, del heteo, del amorreo, del ferezeo, del jebuseo y del gergeseo, para darla a su descendencia; y cumpliste tu palabra, porque eres justo. |
And foundest his heart faithful before thee, and madest a covenant with him to give the land of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Jebusites, and the Girgashites, to give it, I say, to his seed, and hast performed thy words; for thou art righteous: |
וּמָצָאתָ אֶת־לְבָבֹו נֶאֱמָן לְפָנֶיךָ וְכָרֹות עִמֹּו הַבְּרִית לָתֵת אֶת־אֶרֶץ הַכְּנַעֲנִי הַחִתִּי הָאֱמֹרִי וְהַפְּרִזִּי וְהַיְבוּסִי וְהַגִּרְגָּשִׁי לָתֵת לְזַרְעֹו וַתָּקֶם אֶת־דְּבָרֶיךָ כִּי צַדִּיק אָתָּה׃ |
| 9:9 Y miraste la aflicción de nuestros padres en Egipto, y oíste el clamor de ellos en el Mar Rojo; |
And didst see the affliction of our fathers in Egypt, and heardest their cry by the Red sea; |
וַתֵּרֶא אֶת־עֳנִי אֲבֹתֵינוּ בְּמִצְרָיִם וְאֶת־זַעֲקָתָם שָׁמַעְתָּ עַל־יַם־סוּף׃ |
| 9:10 e hiciste señales y maravillas contra Faraón, contra todos sus siervos, y contra todo el pueblo de su tierra, porque sabías que habían procedido con soberbia contra ellos; y te hiciste nombre grande, como en este día. |
And shewedst signs and wonders upon Pharaoh, and on all his servants, and on all the people of his land: for thou knewest that they dealt proudly against them. So didst thou get thee a name, as it is this day. |
וַתִּתֵּן אֹתֹת וּמֹפְתִים בְּפַרְעֹה וּבְכָל־עֲבָדָיו וּבְכָל־עַם אַרְצֹו כִּי יָדַעְתָּ כִּי הֵזִידוּ עֲלֵיהֶם וַתַּעַשׂ־לְךָ שֵׁם כְּהַיֹּום הַזֶּה׃ |
| 9:11 Dividiste el mar delante de ellos, y pasaron por medio de él en seco; y a sus perseguidores echaste en las profundidades, como una piedra en profundas aguas. |
And thou didst divide the sea before them, so that they went through the midst of the sea on the dry land; and their persecutors thou threwest into the deeps, as a stone into the mighty waters. |
וְהַיָּם בָּקַעְתָּ לִפְנֵיהֶם וַיַּעַבְרוּ בְתֹוךְ־הַיָּם בַּיַּבָּשָׁה וְאֶת־רֹדְפֵיהֶם הִשְׁלַכְתָּ בִמְצֹולֹת כְּמֹו־אֶבֶן בְּמַיִם עַזִּים׃ |
| 9:12 Con columna de nube los guiaste de día, y con columna de fuego de noche, para alumbrarles el camino por donde habían de ir. |
Moreover thou leddest them in the day by a cloudy pillar; and in the night by a pillar of fire, to give them light in the way wherein they should go. |
וּבְעַמּוּד עָנָן הִנְחִיתָם יֹומָם וּבְעַמּוּד אֵשׁ לַיְלָה לְהָאִיר לָהֶם אֶת־הַדֶּרֶךְ אֲשֶׁר יֵלְכוּ־בָהּ׃ |
| 9:13 Y sobre el monte de Sinaí descendiste, y hablaste con ellos desde el cielo, y les diste juicios rectos, leyes verdaderas, y estatutos y mandamientos buenos, |
Thou camest down also upon mount Sinai, and spakest with them from heaven, and gavest them right judgments, and true laws, good statutes and commandments: |
וְעַל הַר־סִינַי יָרַדְתָּ וְדַבֵּר עִמָּהֶם מִשָּׁמָיִם וַתִּתֵּן לָהֶם מִשְׁפָּטִים יְשָׁרִים וְתֹורֹות אֱמֶת חֻקִּים וּמִצְוֹת טֹובִים׃ |
| 9:14 y les ordenaste el día de reposo santo para ti, y por mano de Moisés tu siervo les prescribiste mandamientos, estatutos y la ley. |
And madest known unto them thy holy sabbath, and commandedst them precepts, statutes, and laws, by the hand of Moses thy servant: |
וְאֶת־שַׁבַּת קָדְשְׁךָ הֹודַעַתָ לָהֶם וּמִצְוֹות וְחֻקִּים וְתֹורָה צִוִּיתָ לָהֶם בְּיַד מֹשֶׁה עַבְדֶּךָ׃ |
| 9:15 Les diste pan del cielo en su hambre, y en su sed les sacaste aguas de la peña; y les dijiste que entrasen a poseer la tierra, por la cual alzaste tu mano y juraste que se la darías. |
And gavest them bread from heaven for their hunger, and broughtest forth water for them out of the rock for their thirst, and promisedst them that they should go in to possess the land which thou hadst sworn to give them. |
וְלֶחֶם מִשָּׁמַיִם נָתַתָּה לָהֶם לִרְעָבָם וּמַיִם מִסֶּלַע הֹוצֵאתָ לָהֶם לִצְמָאָם וַתֹּאמֶר לָהֶם לָבֹוא לָרֶשֶׁת אֶת־הָאָרֶץ אֲשֶׁר־נָשָׂאתָ אֶת־יָדְךָ לָתֵת לָהֶם׃ |
| 9:16 Mas ellos y nuestros padres fueron soberbios, y endurecieron su cerviz, y no escucharon tus mandamientos. |
But they and our fathers dealt proudly, and hardened their necks, and hearkened not to thy commandments, |
וְהֵם וַאֲבֹתֵינוּ הֵזִידוּ וַיַּקְשׁוּ אֶת־עָרְפָּם וְלֹא שָׁמְעוּ אֶל־מִצְוֹתֶיךָ׃ |
| 9:17 No quisieron oír, ni se acordaron de tus maravillas que habías hecho con ellos; antes endurecieron su cerviz, y en su rebelión pensaron poner caudillo para volverse a su servidumbre. Pero tú eres Dios que perdonas, clemente y piadoso, tardo para la ira, y grande en misericordia, porque no los abandonaste. |
And refused to obey, neither were mindful of thy wonders that thou didst among them; but hardened their necks, and in their rebellion appointed a captain to return to their bondage: but thou art a God ready to pardon, gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and forsookest them not. |
וַיְמָאֲנוּ לִשְׁמֹעַ וְלֹא־זָכְרוּ נִפְלְאֹתֶיךָ אֲשֶׁר עָשִׂיתָ עִמָּהֶם וַיַּקְשׁוּ אֶת־עָרְפָּם וַיִּתְּנוּ־רֹאשׁ לָשׁוּב לְעַבְדֻתָם בְּמִרְיָם וְאַתָּה אֱלֹוהַּ סְלִיחֹות חַנּוּן וְרַחוּם אֶרֶךְ־אַפַּיִם וְרַב־ [וְחֶסֶד כ] (חֶסֶד ק) וְלֹא עֲזַבְתָּם׃ |
| 9:18 Además, cuando hicieron para sí becerro de fundición y dijeron: Este es tu Dios que te hizo subir de Egipto; y cometieron grandes abominaciones, |
Yea, when they had made them a molten calf, and said, This is thy God that brought thee up out of Egypt, and had wrought great provocations; |
אַף כִּי־עָשׂוּ לָהֶם עֵגֶל מַסֵּכָה וַיֹּאמְרוּ זֶה אֱלֹהֶיךָ אֲשֶׁר הֶעֶלְךָ מִמִּצְרָיִם וַיַּעֲשׂוּ נֶאָצֹות גְּדֹלֹות׃ |
| 9:19 tú, con todo, por tus muchas misericordias no los abandonaste en el desierto. La columna de nube no se apartó de ellos de día, para guiarlos por el camino, ni de noche la columna de fuego, para alumbrarles el camino por el cual habían de ir. |
Yet thou in thy manifold mercies forsookest them not in the wilderness: the pillar of the cloud departed not from them by day, to lead them in the way; neither the pillar of fire by night, to shew them light, and the way wherein they should go. |
וְאַתָּה בְּרַחֲמֶיךָ הָרַבִּים לֹא עֲזַבְתָּם בַּמִּדְבָּר אֶת־עַמּוּד הֶעָנָן לֹא־סָר מֵעֲלֵיהֶם בְּיֹומָם לְהַנְחֹתָם בְּהַדֶּרֶךְ וְאֶת־עַמּוּד הָאֵשׁ בְּלַיְלָה לְהָאִיר לָהֶם וְאֶת־הַדֶּרֶךְ אֲשֶׁר יֵלְכוּ־בָהּ׃ |
| 9:20 Y enviaste tu buen Espíritu para enseñarles, y no retiraste tu maná de su boca, y agua les diste para su sed. |
Thou gavest also thy good spirit to instruct them, and withheldest not thy manna from their mouth, and gavest them water for their thirst. |
וְרוּחֲךָ הַטֹּובָה נָתַתָּ לְהַשְׂכִּילָם וּמַנְךָ לֹא־מָנַעְתָּ מִפִּיהֶם וּמַיִם נָתַתָּה לָהֶם לִצְמָאָם׃ |
| 9:21 Los sustentaste cuarenta años en el desierto; de ninguna cosa tuvieron necesidad; sus vestidos no se envejecieron, ni se hincharon sus pies. |
Yea, forty years didst thou sustain them in the wilderness, so that they lacked nothing; their clothes waxed not old, and their feet swelled not. |
וְאַרְבָּעִים שָׁנָה כִּלְכַּלְתָּם בַּמִּדְבָּר לֹא חָסֵרוּ שַׂלְמֹתֵיהֶם לֹא בָלוּ וְרַגְלֵיהֶם לֹא בָצֵקוּ׃ |
| 9:22 Y les diste reinos y pueblos, y los repartiste por distritos; y poseyeron la tierra de Sehón, la tierra del rey de Hesbón, y la tierra de Og rey de Basán. |
Moreover thou gavest them kingdoms and nations, and didst divide them into corners: so they possessed the land of Sihon, and the land of the king of Heshbon, and the land of Og king of Bashan. |
וַתִּתֵּן לָהֶם מַמְלָכֹות וַעֲמָמִים וַתַּחְלְקֵם לְפֵאָה וַיִּירְשׁוּ אֶת־אֶרֶץ סִיחֹון וְאֶת־אֶרֶץ מֶלֶךְ חֶשְׁבֹּון וְאֶת־אֶרֶץ עֹוג מֶלֶךְ־הַבָּשָׁן׃ |
| 9:23 Multiplicaste sus hijos como las estrellas del cielo, y los llevaste a la tierra de la cual habías dicho a sus padres que habían de entrar a poseerla. |
Their children also multipliedst thou as the stars of heaven, and broughtest them into the land, concerning which thou hadst promised to their fathers, that they should go in to possess it. |
וּבְנֵיהֶם הִרְבִּיתָ כְּכֹכְבֵי הַשָּׁמָיִם וַתְּבִיאֵם אֶל־הָאָרֶץ אֲשֶׁר־אָמַרְתָּ לַאֲבֹתֵיהֶם לָבֹוא לָרָשֶׁת׃ |
| 9:24 Y los hijos vinieron y poseyeron la tierra, y humillaste delante de ellos a los moradores del país, a los cananeos, los cuales entregaste en su mano, y a sus reyes, y a los pueblos de la tierra, para que hiciesen de ellos como quisieran. |
So the children went in and possessed the land, and thou subduedst before them the inhabitants of the land, the Canaanites, and gavest them into their hands, with their kings, and the people of the land, that they might do with them as they would. |
וַיָּבֹאוּ הַבָּנִים וַיִּירְשׁוּ אֶת־הָאָרֶץ וַתַּכְנַע לִפְנֵיהֶם אֶת־יֹשְׁבֵי הָאָרֶץ הַכְּנַעֲנִים וַתִּתְּנֵם בְּיָדָם וְאֶת־מַלְכֵיהֶם וְאֶת־עַמְמֵי הָאָרֶץ לַעֲשֹׂות בָּהֶם כִּרְצֹונָם׃ |
| 9:25 Y tomaron ciudades fortificadas y tierra fértil, y heredaron casas llenas de todo bien, cisternas hechas, viñas y olivares, y muchos árboles frutales; comieron, se saciaron, y se deleitaron en tu gran bondad. |
And they took strong cities, and a fat land, and possessed houses full of all goods, wells digged, vineyards, and oliveyards, and fruit trees in abundance: so they did eat, and were filled, and became fat, and delighted themselves in thy great goodness. |
וַיִּלְכְּדוּ עָרִים בְּצֻרֹות וַאֲדָמָה שְׁמֵנָה וַיִּירְשׁוּ בָּתִּים מְלֵאִים־כָּל־טוּב בֹּרֹות חֲצוּבִים כְּרָמִים וְזֵיתִים וְעֵץ מַאֲכָל לָרֹב וַיֹּאכְלוּ וַיִּשְׂבְּעוּ וַיַּשְׁמִינוּ וַיִּתְעַדְּנוּ בְּטוּבְךָ הַגָּדֹול׃ |
| 9:26 Pero te provocaron a ira, y se rebelaron contra ti, y echaron tu ley tras sus espaldas, y mataron a tus profetas que protestaban contra ellos para convertirlos a ti, e hicieron grandes abominaciones. |
Nevertheless they were disobedient, and rebelled against thee, and cast thy law behind their backs, and slew thy prophets which testified against them to turn them to thee, and they wrought great provocations. |
וַיַּמְרוּ וַיִּמְרְדוּ בָּךְ וַיַּשְׁלִכוּ אֶת־תֹּורָתְךָ אַחֲרֵי גַוָּם וְאֶת־נְבִיאֶיךָ הָרָגוּ אֲשֶׁר־הֵעִידוּ בָם לַהֲשִׁיבָם אֵלֶיךָ וַיַּעֲשׂוּ נֶאָצֹות גְּדֹולֹת׃ |
| 9:27 Entonces los entregaste en mano de sus enemigos, los cuales los afligieron. Pero en el tiempo de su tribulación clamaron a ti, y tú desde los cielos los oíste; y según tu gran misericordia les enviaste libertadores para que los salvasen de mano de sus enemigos. |
Therefore thou deliveredst them into the hand of their enemies, who vexed them: and in the time of their trouble, when they cried unto thee, thou heardest them from heaven; and according to thy manifold mercies thou gavest them saviours, who saved them out of the hand of their enemies. |
וַתִּתְּנֵם בְּיַד צָרֵיהֶם וַיָּצֵרוּ לָהֶם וּבְעֵת צָרָתָם יִצְעֲקוּ אֵלֶיךָ וְאַתָּה מִשָּׁמַיִם תִּשְׁמָע וּכְרַחֲמֶיךָ הָרַבִּים תִּתֵּן לָהֶם מֹושִׁיעִים וְיֹושִׁיעוּם מִיַּד צָרֵיהֶם׃ |
| 9:28 Pero una vez que tenían paz, volvían a hacer lo malo delante de ti, por lo cual los abandonaste en mano de sus enemigos que los dominaron; pero volvían y clamaban otra vez a ti, y tú desde los cielos los oías y según tus misericordias muchas veces los libraste. |
But after they had rest, they did evil again before thee: therefore leftest thou them in the hand of their enemies, so that they had the dominion over them: yet when they returned, and cried unto thee, thou heardest them from heaven; and many times didst thou deliver them according to thy mercies; |
וּכְנֹוחַ לָהֶם יָשׁוּבוּ לַעֲשֹׂות רַע לְפָנֶיךָ וַתַּעַזְבֵם בְּיַד אֹיְבֵיהֶם וַיִּרְדּוּ בָהֶם וַיָּשׁוּבוּ וַיִּזְעָקוּךָ וְאַתָּה מִשָּׁמַיִם תִּשְׁמַע וְתַצִּילֵם כְּרַחֲמֶיךָ רַבֹּות עִתִּים׃ |
| 9:29 Les amonestaste a que se volviesen a tu ley; mas ellos se llenaron de soberbia, y no oyeron tus mandamientos, sino que pecaron contra tus juicios, los cuales si el hombre hiciere, en ellos vivirá; se rebelaron, endurecieron su cerviz, y no escucharon. |
And testifiedst against them, that thou mightest bring them again unto thy law: yet they dealt proudly, and hearkened not unto thy commandments, but sinned against thy judgments, (which if a man do, he shall live in them;) and withdrew the shoulder, and hardened their neck, and would not hear. |
וַתָּעַד בָּהֶם לַהֲשִׁיבָם אֶל־תֹּורָתֶךָ וְהֵמָּה הֵזִידוּ וְלֹא־שָׁמְעוּ לְמִצְוֹתֶיךָ וּבְמִשְׁפָּטֶיךָ חָטְאוּ־בָם אֲשֶׁר־יַעֲשֶׂה אָדָם וְחָיָה בָהֶם וַיִּתְּנוּ כָתֵף סֹורֶרֶת וְעָרְפָּם הִקְשׁוּ וְלֹא שָׁמֵעוּ׃ |
| 9:30 Les soportaste por muchos años, y les testificaste con tu Espíritu por medio de tus profetas, pero no escucharon; por lo cual los entregaste en mano de los pueblos de la tierra. |
Yet many years didst thou forbear them, and testifiedst against them by thy spirit in thy prophets: yet would they not give ear: therefore gavest thou them into the hand of the people of the lands. |
וַתִּמְשֹׁךְ עֲלֵיהֶם שָׁנִים רַבֹּות וַתָּעַד בָּם בְּרוּחֲךָ בְּיַד־נְבִיאֶיךָ וְלֹא הֶאֱזִינוּ וַתִּתְּנֵם בְּיַד עַמֵּי הָאֲרָצֹת׃ |
| 9:31 Mas por tus muchas misericordias no los consumiste, ni los desamparaste; porque eres Dios clemente y misericordioso. |
Nevertheless for thy great mercies' sake thou didst not utterly consume them, nor forsake them; for thou art a gracious and merciful God. |
וּבְרַחֲמֶיךָ הָרַבִּים לֹא־עֲשִׂיתָם כָּלָה וְלֹא עֲזַבְתָּם כִּי אֵל־חַנּוּן וְרַחוּם אָתָּה׃ |
| 9:32 Ahora pues, Dios nuestro, Dios grande, fuerte, temible, que guardas el pacto y la misericordia, no sea tenido en poco delante de ti todo el sufrimiento que ha alcanzado a nuestros reyes, a nuestros príncipes, a nuestros sacerdotes, a nuestros profetas, a nuestros padres y a todo tu pueblo, desde los días de los reyes de Asiria hasta este día. |
Now therefore, our God, the great, the mighty, and the terrible God, who keepest covenant and mercy, let not all the trouble seem little before thee, that hath come upon us, on our kings, on our princes, and on our priests, and on our prophets, and on our fathers, and on all thy people, since the time of the kings of Assyria unto this day. |
וְעַתָּה אֱלֹהֵינוּ הָאֵל הַגָּדֹול הַגִּבֹּור וְהַנֹּורָא שֹׁומֵר הַבְּרִית וְהַחֶסֶד אַל־יִמְעַט לְפָנֶיךָ אֵת כָּל־הַתְּלָאָה אֲשֶׁר־מְצָאַתְנוּ לִמְלָכֵינוּ לְשָׂרֵינוּ וּלְכֹהֲנֵינוּ וְלִנְבִיאֵנוּ וְלַאֲבֹתֵינוּ וּלְכָל־עַמֶּךָ מִימֵי מַלְכֵי אַשּׁוּר עַד הַיֹּום הַזֶּה׃ |
| 9:33 Pero tú eres justo en todo lo que ha venido sobre nosotros; porque rectamente has hecho, mas nosotros hemos hecho lo malo. |
Howbeit thou art just in all that is brought upon us; for thou hast done right, but we have done wickedly: |
וְאַתָּה צַדִּיק עַל כָּל־הַבָּא עָלֵינוּ כִּי־אֱמֶת עָשִׂיתָ וַאֲנַחְנוּ הִרְשָׁעְנוּ׃ |
| 9:34 Nuestros reyes, nuestros príncipes, nuestros sacerdotes y nuestros padres no pusieron por obra tu ley, ni atendieron a tus mandamientos y a tus testimonios con que les amonestabas. |
Neither have our kings, our princes, our priests, nor our fathers, kept thy law, nor hearkened unto thy commandments and thy testimonies, wherewith thou didst testify against them. |
וְאֶת־מְלָכֵינוּ שָׂרֵינוּ כֹּהֲנֵינוּ וַאֲבֹתֵינוּ לֹא עָשׂוּ תֹּורָתֶךָ וְלֹא הִקְשִׁיבוּ אֶל־מִצְוֹתֶיךָ וּלְעֵדְוֹתֶיךָ אֲשֶׁר הַעִידֹתָ בָּהֶם׃ |
| 9:35 Y ellos en su reino y en tu mucho bien que les diste, y en la tierra espaciosa y fértil que entregaste delante de ellos, no te sirvieron, ni se convirtieron de sus malas obras. |
For they have not served thee in their kingdom, and in thy great goodness that thou gavest them, and in the large and fat land which thou gavest before them, neither turned they from their wicked works. |
וְהֵם בְּמַלְכוּתָם וּבְטוּבְךָ הָרָב אֲשֶׁר־נָתַתָּ לָהֶם וּבְאֶרֶץ הָרְחָבָה וְהַשְּׁמֵנָה אֲשֶׁר־נָתַתָּ לִפְנֵיהֶם לֹא עֲבָדוּךָ וְלֹא־שָׁבוּ מִמַּעַלְלֵיהֶם הָרָעִים׃ |
| 9:36 He aquí que hoy somos siervos; henos aquí, siervos en la tierra que diste a nuestros padres para que comiesen su fruto y su bien. |
Behold, we are servants this day, and for the land that thou gavest unto our fathers to eat the fruit thereof and the good thereof, behold, we are servants in it: |
הִנֵּה אֲנַחְנוּ הַיֹּום עֲבָדִים וְהָאָרֶץ אֲשֶׁר־נָתַתָּה לַאֲבֹתֵינוּ לֶאֱכֹל אֶת־פִּרְיָהּ וְאֶת־טוּבָהּ הִנֵּה אֲנַחְנוּ עֲבָדִים עָלֶיהָ׃ |
| 9:37 Y se multiplica su fruto para los reyes que has puesto sobre nosotros por nuestros pecados, quienes se enseñorean sobre nuestros cuerpos, y sobre nuestros ganados, conforme a su voluntad, y estamos en grande angustia. |
And it yieldeth much increase unto the kings whom thou hast set over us because of our sins: also they have dominion over our bodies, and over our cattle, at their pleasure, and we are in great distress. |
וּתְבוּאָתָהּ מַרְבָּה לַמְּלָכִים אֲשֶׁר־נָתַתָּה עָלֵינוּ בְּחַטֹּאותֵינוּ וְעַל גְּוִיֹּתֵינוּ מֹשְׁלִים וּבִבְהֶמְתֵּנוּ כִּרְצֹונָם וּבְצָרָה גְדֹולָה אֲנָחְנוּ׃ פ |
| 9:38 A causa, pues, de todo esto, nosotros hacemos fiel promesa, y la escribimos, firmada por nuestros príncipes, por nuestros levitas y por nuestros sacerdotes. |

And the rest of the people, the priests, the Levites, the porters, the singers, the Nethinims, and all they that had separated themselves from the people of the lands unto the law of God, their wives, their sons, and their daughters, every one having knowledge, and having understanding; |
וּשְׁאָר הָעָם הַכֹּהֲנִים הַלְוִיִּם הַשֹּׁועֲרִים הַמְשֹׁרְרִים הַנְּתִינִים וְכָל־הַנִּבְדָּל מֵעַמֵּי הָאֲרָצֹות אֶל־תֹּורַת הָאֱלֹהִים נְשֵׁיהֶם בְּנֵיהֶם וּבְנֹתֵיהֶם כֹּל יֹודֵעַ מֵבִין׃ |
| 10:29 se reunieron con sus hermanos y sus principales, para protestar y jurar que andarían en la ley de Dios, que fue dada por Moisés siervo de Dios, y que guardarían y cumplirían todos los mandamientos, decretos y estatutos de Jehová nuestro Señor. |
They clave to their brethren, their nobles, and entered into a curse, and into an oath, to walk in God's law, which was given by Moses the servant of God, and to observe and do all the commandments of the LORD our Lord, and his judgments and his statutes; |
מַחֲזִיקִים עַל־אֲחֵיהֶם אַדִּירֵיהֶם וּבָאִים בְּאָלָה וּבִשְׁבוּעָה לָלֶכֶת בְּתֹורַת הָאֱלֹהִים אֲשֶׁר נִתְּנָה בְּיַד מֹשֶׁה עֶבֶד־הָאֱלֹהִים וְלִשְׁמֹור וְלַעֲשֹׂות אֶת־כָּל־מִצְוֹת יְהוָה אֲדֹנֵינוּ וּמִשְׁפָּטָיו וְחֻקָּיו׃ |
| 10:30 Y que no daríamos nuestras hijas a los pueblos de la tierra, ni tomaríamos sus hijas para nuestros hijos. |
And that we would not give our daughters unto the people of the land, nor take their daughters for our sons: |
וַאֲשֶׁר לֹא־נִתֵּן בְּנֹתֵינוּ לְעַמֵּי הָאָרֶץ וְאֶת־בְּנֹתֵיהֶם לֹא נִקַּח לְבָנֵינוּ׃ |
| 10:31 Asimismo, que si los pueblos de la tierra trajesen a vender mercaderías y comestibles en día de reposo, nada tomaríamos de ellos en ese día ni en otro día santificado; y que el año séptimo dejaríamos descansar la tierra, y remitiríamos toda deuda. |
And if the people of the land bring ware or any victuals on the sabbath day to sell, that we would not buy it of them on the sabbath, or on the holy day: and that we would leave the seventh year, and the exaction of every debt. |
וְעַמֵּי הָאָרֶץ הַמְבִיאִים אֶת־הַמַּקָּחֹות וְכָל־שֶׁבֶר בְּיֹום הַשַּׁבָּת לִמְכֹּור לֹא־נִקַּח מֵהֶם בַּשַּׁבָּת וּבְיֹום קֹדֶשׁ וְנִטֹּשׁ אֶת־הַשָּׁנָה הַשְּׁבִיעִית וּמַשָּׁא כָל־יָד׃ |
| 10:32 Nos impusimos además por ley, el cargo de contribuir cada año con la tercera parte de un siclo para la obra de la casa de nuestro Dios; |
Also we made ordinances for us, to charge ourselves yearly with the third part of a shekel for the service of the house of our God; |
וְהֶעֱמַדְנוּ עָלֵינוּ מִצְוֹת לָתֵת עָלֵינוּ שְׁלִשִׁית הַשֶּׁקֶל בַּשָּׁנָה לַעֲבֹדַת בֵּית אֱלֹהֵינוּ׃ |
| 10:33 para el pan de la proposición y para la ofrenda continua, para el holocausto continuo, los días de reposo, las nuevas lunas, las festividades, y para las cosas santificadas y los sacrificios de expiación por el pecado de Israel, y para todo el servicio de la casa de nuestro Dios. |
For the shewbread, and for the continual meat offering, and for the continual burnt offering, of the sabbaths, of the new moons, for the set feasts, and for the holy things, and for the sin offerings to make an atonement for Israel, and for all the work of the house of our God. |
לְלֶחֶם הַמַּעֲרֶכֶת וּמִנְחַת הַתָּמִיד וּלְעֹולַת הַתָּמִיד הַשַּׁבָּתֹות הֶחֳדָשִׁים לַמֹּועֲדִים וְלַקֳּדָשִׁים וְלַחַטָּאֹות לְכַפֵּר עַל־יִשְׂרָאֵל וְכֹל מְלֶאכֶת בֵּית־אֱלֹהֵינוּ׃ ס |
| 10:34 Echamos también suertes los sacerdotes, los levitas y el pueblo, acerca de la ofrenda de la leña, para traerla a la casa de nuestro Dios, según las casas de nuestros padres, en los tiempos determinados cada año, para quemar sobre el altar de Jehová nuestro Dios, como está escrito en la ley. |
And we cast the lots among the priests, the Levites, and the people, for the wood offering, to bring it into the house of our God, after the houses of our fathers, at times appointed year by year, to burn upon the altar of the LORD our God, as it is written in the law: |
וְהַגֹּורָלֹות הִפַּלְנוּ עַל־קֻרְבַּן הָעֵצִים הַכֹּהֲנִים הַלְוִיִּם וְהָעָם לְהָבִיא לְבֵית אֱלֹהֵינוּ לְבֵית־אֲבֹתֵינוּ לְעִתִּים מְזֻמָּנִים שָׁנָה בְשָׁנָה לְבַעֵר עַל־מִזְבַּח יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵינוּ כַּכָּתוּב בַּתֹּורָה׃ |
| 10:35 Y que cada año traeríamos a la casa de Jehová las primicias de nuestra tierra, y las primicias del fruto de todo árbol. |
And to bring the firstfruits of our ground, and the firstfruits of all fruit of all trees, year by year, unto the house of the LORD: |
וּלְהָבִיא אֶת־בִּכּוּרֵי אַדְמָתֵנוּ וּבִכּוּרֵי כָּל־פְּרִי כָל־עֵץ שָׁנָה בְשָׁנָה לְבֵית יְהוָה׃ |
| 10:36 Asimismo los primogénitos de nuestros hijos y de nuestros ganados, como está escrito en la ley; y que traeríamos los primogénitos de nuestras vacas y de nuestras ovejas a la casa de nuestro Dios, a los sacerdotes que ministran en la casa de nuestro Dios; |
Also the firstborn of our sons, and of our cattle, as it is written in the law, and the firstlings of our herds and of our flocks, to bring to the house of our God, unto the priests that minister in the house of our God: |
וְאֶת־בְּכֹרֹות בָּנֵינוּ וּבְהֶמְתֵּינוּ כַּכָּתוּב בַּתֹּורָה וְאֶת־בְּכֹורֵי בְקָרֵינוּ וְצֹאנֵינוּ לְהָבִיא לְבֵית אֱלֹהֵינוּ לַכֹּהֲנִים הַמְשָׁרְתִים בְּבֵית אֱלֹהֵינוּ׃ |
| 10:37 que traeríamos también las primicias de nuestras masas, y nuestras ofrendas, y del fruto de todo árbol, y del vino y del aceite, para los sacerdotes, a las cámaras de la casa de nuestro Dios, y el diezmo de nuestra tierra para los levitas; y que los levitas recibirían las décimas de nuestras labores en todas las ciudades; |
And that we should bring the firstfruits of our dough, and our offerings, and the fruit of all manner of trees, of wine and of oil, unto the priests, to the chambers of the house of our God; and the tithes of our ground unto the Levites, that the same Levites might have the tithes in all the cities of our tillage. |
וְאֶת־רֵאשִׁית עֲרִיסֹתֵינוּ וּתְרוּמֹתֵינוּ וּפְרִי כָל־עֵץ תִּירֹושׁ וְיִצְהָר נָבִיא לַכֹּהֲנִים אֶל־לִשְׁכֹות בֵּית־אֱלֹהֵינוּ וּמַעְשַׂר אַדְמָתֵנוּ לַלְוִיִּם וְהֵם הַלְוִיִּם הַמְעַשְּׂרִים בְּכֹל עָרֵי עֲבֹדָתֵנוּ׃ |
| 10:38 y que estaría el sacerdote hijo de Aarón con los levitas, cuando los levitas recibiesen el diezmo; y que los levitas llevarían el diezmo del diezmo a la casa de nuestro Dios, a las cámaras de la casa del tesoro. |
And the priest the son of Aaron shall be with the Levites, when the Levites take tithes: and the Levites shall bring up the tithe of the tithes unto the house of our God, to the chambers, into the treasure house. |
וְהָיָה הַכֹּהֵן בֶּן־אַהֲרֹן עִם־הַלְוִיִּם בַּעְשֵׂר הַלְוִיִּם וְהַלְוִיִּם יַעֲלוּ אֶת־מַעֲשַׂר הַמַּעֲשֵׂר לְבֵית אֱלֹהֵינוּ אֶל־הַלְּשָׁכֹות לְבֵית הָאֹוצָר׃ |
| 10:39 Porque a las cámaras del tesoro han de llevar los hijos de Israel y los hijos de Leví la ofrenda del grano, del vino y del aceite; y allí estarán los utensilios del santuario, y los sacerdotes que ministran, los porteros y los cantores; y no abandonaremos la casa de nuestro Dios. |
For the children of Israel and the children of Levi shall bring the offering of the corn, of the new wine, and the oil, unto the chambers, where are the vessels of the sanctuary, and the priests that minister, and the porters, and the singers: and we will not forsake the house of our God. |

| 11:1 Habitaron los jefes del pueblo en Jerusalén; mas el resto del pueblo echó suertes para traer uno de cada diez para que morase en Jerusalén, ciudad santa, y las otras nueve partes en las otras ciudades. |
And the rulers of the people dwelt at Jerusalem: the rest of the people also cast lots, to bring one of ten to dwell in Jerusalem the holy city, and nine parts to dwell in other cities. |
וַיֵּשְׁבוּ שָׂרֵי־הָעָם בִּירוּשָׁלִָם וּשְׁאָר הָעָם הִפִּילוּ גֹורָלֹות לְהָבִיא ׀ אֶחָד מִן־הָעֲשָׂרָה לָשֶׁבֶת בִּירוּשָׁלִַם עִיר הַקֹּדֶשׁ וְתֵשַׁע הַיָּדֹות בֶּעָרִים׃ |
| 11:2 Y bendijo el pueblo a todos los varones que voluntariamente se ofrecieron para morar en Jerusalén. |
And the people blessed all the men, that willingly offered themselves to dwell at Jerusalem. |
וַיְבָרֲכוּ הָעָם לְכֹל הָאֲנָשִׁים הַמִּתְנַדְּבִים לָשֶׁבֶת בִּירוּשָׁלִָם׃ פ |
| 11:3 Estos son los jefes de la provincia que moraron en Jerusalén; pero en las ciudades de Judá habitaron cada uno en su posesión, en sus ciudades; los israelitas, los sacerdotes y levitas, los sirvientes del templo y los hijos de los siervos de Salomón. |
Now these are the chief of the province that dwelt in Jerusalem: but in the cities of Judah dwelt every one in his possession in their cities, to wit, Israel, the priests, and the Levites, and the Nethinims, and the children of Solomon's servants. |

| 11:5 y Maasías hijo de Baruc, hijo de Colhoze, hijo de Hazaías, hijo de Adaías, hijo de Joiarib, hijo de Zacarías, hijo de Siloni. |
And Maaseiah the son of Baruch, the son of Colhozeh, the son of Hazaiah, the son of Adaiah, the son of Joiarib, the son of Zechariah, the son of Shiloni. |
וּמַעֲשֵׂיָה בֶן־בָּרוּךְ בֶּן־כָּל־חֹזֶה בֶּן־חֲזָיָה בֶן־עֲדָיָה בֶן־יֹויָרִיב בֶּן־זְכַרְיָה בֶּן־הַשִּׁלֹנִי ׃ |
| 11:6 Todos los hijos de Fares que moraron en Jerusalén fueron cuatrocientos sesenta y ocho hombres fuertes. |
All the sons of Perez that dwelt at Jerusalem were four hundred threescore and eight valiant men. |
כָּל־בְּנֵי־פֶרֶץ הַיֹּשְׁבִים בִּירוּשָׁלִָם אַרְבַּע מֵאֹות שִׁשִּׁים וּשְׁמֹנָה אַנְשֵׁי־חָיִל׃ ס |
| 11:7 Estos son los hijos de Benjamín: Salú hijo de Mesulam, hijo de Joed, hijo de Pedaías, hijo de Colaías, hijo de Maasías, hijo de Itiel, hijo de Jesaías. |
And these are the sons of Benjamin; Sallu the son of Meshullam, the son of Joed, the son of Pedaiah, the son of Kolaiah, the son of Maaseiah, the son of Ithiel, the son of Jesaiah. |
וְאֵלֶּה בְּנֵי בִנְיָמִן סַלֻּא בֶּן־מְשֻׁלָּם בֶּן־יֹועֵד בֶּן־פְּדָיָה בֶן־קֹולָיָה בֶן־מַעֲשֵׂיָה בֶּן־אִיתִיאֵל בֶּן־יְשַׁעְיָה׃ |

וּמִן־הַלְוִיִּם שְׁמַעְיָה בֶן־חַשּׁוּב בֶּן־עַזְרִיקָם בֶּן־חֲשַׁבְיָה בֶּן־בּוּנִּי׃ |
| 11:16 Sabetai y Jozabad, de los principales de los levitas, capataces de la obra exterior de la casa de Dios; |
And Shabbethai and Jozabad, of the chief of the Levites, had the oversight of the outward business of the house of God. |
וְשַׁבְּתַי וְיֹוזָבָד עַל־הַמְּלָאכָה הַחִיצֹנָה לְבֵית הָאֱלֹהִים מֵרָאשֵׁי הַלְוִיִּם׃ |
| 11:17 y Matanías hijo de Micaía, hijo de Zabdi, hijo de Asaf, el principal, el que empezaba las alabanzas y acción de gracias al tiempo de la oración; Bacbuquías el segundo de entre sus hermanos; y Abda hijo de Samúa, hijo de Galal, hijo de Jedutún. |
And Mattaniah the son of Micha, the son of Zabdi, the son of Asaph, was the principal to begin the thanksgiving in prayer: and Bakbukiah the second among his brethren, and Abda the son of Shammua, the son of Galal, the son of Jeduthun. |
וּמַתַּנְיָה בֶן־מִיכָה בֶּן־זַבְדִּי בֶן־אָסָף רֹאשׁ הַתְּחִלָּה יְהֹודֶה לַתְּפִלָּה וּבַקְבֻּקְיָה מִשְׁנֶה מֵאֶחָיו וְעַבְדָּא בֶּן־שַׁמּוּעַ בֶּן־גָּלָל בֶּן־ [יְדִיתוּן כ] (יְדוּתוּן׃ ק) |
| 11:18 Todos los levitas en la santa ciudad eran doscientos ochenta y cuatro. |
All the Levites in the holy city were two hundred fourscore and four. |

וּפְקִיד הַלְוִיִּם בִּירוּשָׁלִַם עֻזִּי בֶן־בָּנִי בֶּן־חֲשַׁבְיָה בֶּן־מַתַּנְיָה בֶּן־מִיכָא מִבְּנֵי אָסָף הַמְשֹׁרְרִים לְנֶגֶד מְלֶאכֶת בֵּית־הָאֱלֹהִים׃ |
| 11:23 Porque había mandamiento del rey acerca de ellos, y distribución para los cantores para cada día. |
For it was the king's commandment concerning them, that a certain portion should be for the singers, due for every day. |
כִּי־מִצְוַת הַמֶּלֶךְ עֲלֵיהֶם וַאֲמָנָה עַל־הַמְשֹׁרְרִים דְּבַר־יֹום בְּיֹומֹו׃ |
| 11:24 Y Petaías hijo de Mesezabeel, de los hijos de Zera hijo de Judá, estaba al servicio del rey en todo negocio del pueblo. |
And Pethahiah the son of Meshezabeel, of the children of Zerah the son of Judah, was at the king's hand in all matters concerning the people. |

| 12:8 Y los levitas: Jesúa, Binúi, Cadmiel, Serebías, Judá y Matanías, que con sus hermanos oficiaba en los cantos de alabanza. |
Moreover the Levites: Jeshua, Binnui, Kadmiel, Sherebiah, Judah, and Mattaniah, which was over the thanksgiving, he and his brethren. |

| 12:23 Los hijos de Leví, jefes de familias, fueron inscritos en el libro de las crónicas hasta los días de Johanán hijo de Eliasib. |
The sons of Levi, the chief of the fathers, were written in the book of the chronicles, even until the days of Johanan the son of Eliashib. |
בְּנֵי לֵוִי רָאשֵׁי הָאָבֹות כְּתוּבִים עַל־סֵפֶר דִּבְרֵי הַיָּמִים וְעַד־יְמֵי יֹוחָנָן בֶּן־אֶלְיָשִׁיב׃ |
| 12:24 Los principales de los levitas: Hasabías, Serebías, Jesúa hijo de Cadmiel, y sus hermanos delante de ellos, para alabar y dar gracias, conforme al estatuto de David varón de Dios, guardando su turno. |
And the chief of the Levites: Hashabiah, Sherebiah, and Jeshua the son of Kadmiel, with their brethren over against them, to praise and to give thanks, according to the commandment of David the man of God, ward over against ward. |
וְרָאשֵׁי הַלְוִיִּם חֲשַׁבְיָה שֵׁרֵבְיָה וְיֵשׁוּעַ בֶּן־קַדְמִיאֵל וַאֲחֵיהֶם לְנֶגְדָּם לְהַלֵּל לְהֹודֹות בְּמִצְוַת דָּוִיד אִישׁ־הָאֱלֹהִים מִשְׁמָר לְעֻמַּת מִשְׁמָר׃ |
| 12:25 Matanías, Bacbuquías, Obadías, Mesulam, Talmón y Acub, guardas, eran porteros para la guardia a las entradas de las puertas. |
Mattaniah, and Bakbukiah, Obadiah, Meshullam, Talmon, Akkub, were porters keeping the ward at the thresholds of the gates. |
מַתַּנְיָה וּבַקְבֻּקְיָה עֹבַדְיָה מְשֻׁלָּם טַלְמֹון עַקּוּב שֹׁמְרִים שֹׁועֲרִים מִשְׁמָר בַּאֲסֻפֵּי הַשְּׁעָרִים׃ |
| 12:26 Estos fueron en los días de Joiacim hijo de Jesúa, hijo de Josadac, y en los días del gobernador Nehemías y del sacerdote Esdras, escriba. |
These were in the days of Joiakim the son of Jeshua, the son of Jozadak, and in the days of Nehemiah the governor, and of Ezra the priest, the scribe. |

| 12:27 Para la dedicación del muro de Jerusalén, buscaron a los levitas de todos sus lugares para traerlos a Jerusalén, para hacer la dedicación y la fiesta con alabanzas y con cánticos, con címbalos, salterios y cítaras. |
And at the dedication of the wall of Jerusalem they sought the Levites out of all their places, to bring them to Jerusalem, to keep the dedication with gladness, both with thanksgivings, and with singing, with cymbals, psalteries, and with harps. |
וּבַחֲנֻכַּת חֹומַת יְרוּשָׁלִַם בִּקְשׁוּ אֶת־הַלְוִיִּם מִכָּל־מְקֹומֹתָם לַהֲבִיאָם לִירוּשָׁלִָם לַעֲשֹׂת חֲנֻכָּה וְשִׂמְחָה וּבְתֹודֹות וּבְשִׁיר מְצִלְתַּיִם נְבָלִים וּבְכִנֹּרֹות׃ |
| 12:28 Y fueron reunidos los hijos de los cantores, así de la región alrededor de Jerusalén como de las aldeas de los netofatitas; |
And the sons of the singers gathered themselves together, both out of the plain country round about Jerusalem, and from the villages of Netophathi; |
וַיֵּאָסְפוּ בְּנֵי הַמְשֹׁרְרִים וּמִן־הַכִּכָּר סְבִיבֹות יְרוּשָׁלִַם וּמִן־חַצְרֵי נְטֹפָתִי׃ |
| 12:29 y de la casa de Gilgal, y de los campos de Geba y de Azmavet; porque los cantores se habían edificado aldeas alrededor de Jerusalén. |
Also from the house of Gilgal, and out of the fields of Geba and Azmaveth: for the singers had builded them villages round about Jerusalem. |
וּמִבֵּית הַגִּלְגָּל וּמִשְּׂדֹות גֶּבַע וְעַזְמָוֶת כִּי חֲצֵרִים בָּנוּ לָהֶם הַמְשֹׁרֲרִים סְבִיבֹות יְרוּשָׁלִָם׃ |
| 12:30 Y se purificaron los sacerdotes y los levitas; y purificaron al pueblo, y las puertas, y el muro. |
And the priests and the Levites purified themselves, and purified the people, and the gates, and the wall. |

| 12:31 Hice luego subir a los príncipes de Judá sobre el muro, y puse dos coros grandes que fueron en procesión; el uno a la derecha, sobre el muro, hacia la puerta del Muladar. |
Then I brought up the princes of Judah upon the wall, and appointed two great companies of them that gave thanks, whereof one went on the right hand upon the wall toward the dung gate: |

| 12:35 Y de los hijos de los sacerdotes iban con trompetas Zacarías hijo de Jonatán, hijo de Semaías, hijo de Matanías, hijo de Micaías, hijo de Zacur, hijo de Asaf; |
And certain of the priests' sons with trumpets; namely, Zechariah the son of Jonathan, the son of Shemaiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Michaiah, the son of Zaccur, the son of Asaph: |
וּמִבְּנֵי הַכֹּהֲנִים בַּחֲצֹצְרֹות זְכַרְיָה בֶן־יֹונָתָן בֶּן־שְׁמַעְיָה בֶּן־מַתַּנְיָה בֶּן־מִיכָיָה בֶּן־זַכּוּר בֶּן־אָסָף׃ |
| 12:36 y sus hermanos Semaías, Azarael, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Natanael, Judá y Hanani, con los instrumentos musicales de David varón de Dios; y el escriba Esdras delante de ellos. |
And his brethren, Shemaiah, and Azarael, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Nethaneel, and Judah, Hanani, with the musical instruments of David the man of God, and Ezra the scribe before them. |
וְאֶחָיו שְׁמַעְיָה וַעֲזַרְאֵל מִלֲלַי גִּלֲלַי מָעַי נְתַנְאֵל וִיהוּדָה חֲנָנִי בִּכְלֵי־שִׁיר דָּוִיד אִישׁ הָאֱלֹהִים וְעֶזְרָא הַסֹּופֵר לִפְנֵיהֶם׃ |
| 12:37 Y a la puerta de la Fuente, en frente de ellos, subieron por las gradas de la ciudad de David, por la subida del muro, desde la casa de David hasta la puerta de las Aguas, al oriente. |
And at the fountain gate, which was over against them, they went up by the stairs of the city of David, at the going up of the wall, above the house of David, even unto the water gate eastward. |
וְעַל שַׁעַר הָעַיִן וְנֶגְדָּם עָלוּ עַל־מַעֲלֹות עִיר דָּוִיד בַּמַּעֲלֶה לַחֹומָה מֵעַל לְבֵית דָּוִיד וְעַד שַׁעַר הַמַּיִם מִזְרָח׃ |
| 12:38 El segundo coro iba del lado opuesto, y yo en pos de él, con la mitad del pueblo sobre el muro, desde la torre de los Hornos hasta el muro ancho; |
And the other company of them that gave thanks went over against them, and I after them, and the half of the people upon the wall, from beyond the tower of the furnaces even unto the broad wall; |
וְהַתֹּודָה הַשֵּׁנִית הַהֹולֶכֶת לְמֹואל וַאֲנִי אַחֲרֶיהָ וַחֲצִי הָעָם מֵעַל לְהַחֹומָה מֵעַל לְמִגְדַּל הַתַּנּוּרִים וְעַד הַחֹומָה הָרְחָבָה׃ |
| 12:39 y desde la puerta de Efraín hasta la puerta Vieja y a la puerta del Pescado, y la torre de Hananeel, y la torre de Hamea, hasta la puerta de las Ovejas; y se detuvieron en la puerta de la Cárcel. |
And from above the gate of Ephraim, and above the old gate, and above the fish gate, and the tower of Hananeel, and the tower of Meah, even unto the sheep gate: and they stood still in the prison gate. |
וּמֵעַל לְשַׁעַר־אֶפְרַיִם וְעַל־שַׁעַר הַיְשָׁנָה וְעַל־שַׁעַר הַדָּגִים וּמִגְדַּל חֲנַנְאֵל וּמִגְדַּל הַמֵּאָה וְעַד שַׁעַר הַצֹּאן וְעָמְדוּ בְּשַׁעַר הַמַּטָּרָה׃ |
| 12:40 Llegaron luego los dos coros a la casa de Dios; y yo, y la mitad de los oficiales conmigo, |
So stood the two companies of them that gave thanks in the house of God, and I, and the half of the rulers with me: |
וַתַּעֲמֹדְנָה שְׁתֵּי הַתֹּודֹת בְּבֵית הָאֱלֹהִים וַאֲנִי וַחֲצִי הַסְּגָנִים עִמִּי׃ |
| 12:41 y los sacerdotes Eliacim, Maaseías, Miniamín, Micaías, Elioenai, Zacarías y Hananías, con trompetas; |
And the priests; Eliakim, Maaseiah, Miniamin, Michaiah, Elioenai, Zechariah, and Hananiah, with trumpets; |
וְהַכֹּהֲנִים אֶלְיָקִים מַעֲשֵׂיָה מִנְיָמִין מִיכָיָה אֶלְיֹועֵינַי זְכַרְיָה חֲנַנְיָה בַּחֲצֹצְרֹות׃ |
| 12:42 y Maasías, Semaías, Eleazar, Uzi, Johanán, Malquías, Elam y Ezer. Y los cantores cantaban en alta voz, e Izrahías era el director. |
And Maaseiah, and Shemaiah, and Eleazar, and Uzzi, and Jehohanan, and Malchijah, and Elam, and Ezer. And the singers sang loud, with Jezrahiah their overseer. |

| 12:43 Y sacrificaron aquel día numerosas víctimas, y se regocijaron, porque Dios los había recreado con grande contentamiento; se alegraron también las mujeres y los niños; y el alborozo de Jerusalén fue oído desde lejos. |
Also that day they offered great sacrifices, and rejoiced: for God had made them rejoice with great joy: the wives also and the children rejoiced: so that the joy of Jerusalem was heard even afar off. |
וַיִּזְבְּחוּ בַיֹּום־הַהוּא זְבָחִים גְּדֹולִים וַיִּשְׂמָחוּ כִּי הָאֱלֹהִים שִׂמְּחָם שִׂמְחָה גְדֹולָה וְגַם הַנָּשִׁים וְהַיְלָדִים שָׂמֵחוּ וַתִּשָּׁמַע שִׂמְחַת יְרוּשָׁלִַם מֵרָחֹוק׃ |
| 12:44 En aquel día fueron puestos varones sobre las cámaras de los tesoros, de las ofrendas, de las primicias y de los diezmos, para recoger en ellas, de los ejidos de las ciudades, las porciones legales para los sacerdotes y levitas; porque era grande el gozo de Judá con respecto a los sacerdotes y levitas que servían. |
And at that time were some appointed over the chambers for the treasures, for the offerings, for the firstfruits, and for the tithes, to gather into them out of the fields of the cities the portions of the law for the priests and Levites: for Judah rejoiced for the priests and for the Levites that waited. |
וַיִּפָּקְדוּ בַיֹּום הַהוּא אֲנָשִׁים עַל־הַנְּשָׁכֹות לָאֹוצָרֹות לַתְּרוּמֹות לָרֵאשִׁית וְלַמַּעַשְׂרֹות לִכְנֹוס בָּהֶם לִשְׂדֵי הֶעָרִים מְנָאֹות הַתֹּורָה לַכֹּהֲנִים וְלַלְוִיִּם כִּי שִׂמְחַת יְהוּדָה עַל־הַכֹּהֲנִים וְעַל־הַלְוִיִּם הָעֹמְדִים׃ |
| 12:45 Y habían cumplido el servicio de su Dios, y el servicio de la expiación, como también los cantores y los porteros, conforme al estatuto de David y de Salomón su hijo. |
And both the singers and the porters kept the ward of their God, and the ward of the purification, according to the commandment of David, and of Solomon his son. |
וַיִּשְׁמְרוּ מִשְׁמֶרֶת אֱלֹהֵיהֶם וּמִשְׁמֶרֶת הַטָּהֳרָה וְהַמְשֹׁרְרִים וְהַשֹּׁעֲרִים כְּמִצְוַת דָּוִיד שְׁלֹמֹה בְנֹו׃ |
| 12:46 Porque desde el tiempo de David y de Asaf, ya de antiguo, había un director de cantores para los cánticos y alabanzas y acción de gracias a Dios. |
For in the days of David and Asaph of old there were chief of the singers, and songs of praise and thanksgiving unto God. |

| 12:47 Y todo Israel en días de Zorobabel y en días de Nehemías daba alimentos a los cantores y a los porteros, cada cosa en su día; consagraban asimismo sus porciones a los levitas, y los levitas consagraban parte a los hijos de Aarón. |
And all Israel in the days of Zerubbabel, and in the days of Nehemiah, gave the portions of the singers and the porters, every day his portion: and they sanctified holy things unto the Levites; and the Levites sanctified them unto the children of Aaron. |

| 13:1 Aquel día se leyó en el libro de Moisés, oyéndolo el pueblo, y fue hallado escrito en él que los amonitas y moabitas no debían entrar jamás en la congregación de Dios, |
On that day they read in the book of Moses in the audience of the people; and therein was found written, that the Ammonite and the Moabite should not come into the congregation of God for ever; |
בַּיֹּום הַהוּא נִקְרָא בְּסֵפֶר מֹשֶׁה בְּאָזְנֵי הָעָם וְנִמְצָא כָּתוּב בֹּו אֲשֶׁר לֹא יָבֹוא עַמֹּנִי וּמֹאָבִי בִּקְהַל הָאֱלֹהִים עַד עֹולָם |
| 13:2 por cuanto no salieron a recibir a los hijos de Israel con pan y agua, sino que dieron dinero a Balaam para que los maldijera; mas nuestro Dios volvió la maldición en bendición. |
Because they met not the children of Israel with bread and with water, but hired Balaam against them, that he should curse them: howbeit our God turned the curse into a blessing. |
כִּי לֹא קִדְּמוּ אֶת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל בַּלֶּחֶם וּבַמָּיִם וַיִּשְׂכֹּר עָלָיו אֶת בִּלְעָם לְקַלְלֹו וַיַּהֲפֹךְ אֱלֹהֵינוּ הַקְּלָלָה לִבְרָכָה |
| 13:3 Cuando oyeron, pues, la ley, separaron de Israel a todos los mezclados con extranjeros. |
Now it came to pass, when they had heard the law, that they separated from Israel all the mixed multitude. |
וַיְהִי כְּשָׁמְעָם אֶת הַתֹּורָה וַיַּבְדִּילוּ כָל עֵרֶב מִיִּשְׂרָאֵל |
| 13:4 Y antes de esto el sacerdote Eliasib, siendo jefe de la cámara de la casa de nuestro Dios, había emparentado con Tobías, |
And before this, Eliashib the priest, having the oversight of the chamber of the house of our God, was allied unto Tobiah: |
וְלִפְנֵי מִזֶּה אֶלְיָשִׁיב הַכֹּהֵן נָתוּן בְּלִשְׁכַּת בֵּית אֱלֹהֵינוּ קָרֹוב לְטֹובִיָּה |
| 13:5 y le había hecho una gran cámara, en la cual guardaban antes las ofrendas, el incienso, los utensilios, el diezmo del grano, del vino y del aceite, que estaba mandado dar a los levitas, a los cantores y a los porteros, y la ofrenda de los sacerdotes. |
And he had prepared for him a great chamber, where aforetime they laid the meat offerings, the frankincense, and the vessels, and the tithes of the corn, the new wine, and the oil, which was commanded to be given to the Levites, and the singers, and the porters; and the offerings of the priests. |
וַיַּעַשׂ לֹו לִשְׁכָּה גְדֹולָה וְשָׁם הָיוּ לְפָנִים נֹתְנִים אֶת הַמִּנְחָה הַלְּבֹונָה וְהַכֵּלִים וּמַעְשַׂר הַדָּגָן הַתִּירֹושׁ וְהַיִּצְהָר מִצְוַת הַלְוִיִּם וְהַמְשֹׁרְרִים וְהַשֹּׁעֲרִים וּתְרוּמַת הַכֹּהֲנִים |
| 13:6 Mas a todo esto, yo no estaba en Jerusalén, porque en el año treinta y dos de Artajerjes rey de Babilonia fui al rey; y al cabo de algunos días pedí permiso al rey |
But in all this time was not I at Jerusalem: for in the two and thirtieth year of Artaxerxes king of Babylon came I unto the king, and after certain days obtained I leave of the king: |
וּבְכָל זֶה לֹא הָיִיתִי בִּירוּשָׁלִָם כִּי בִּשְׁנַת שְׁלֹשִׁים וּשְׁתַּיִם לְאַרְתַּחְשַׁסְתְּא מֶלֶךְ בָּבֶל בָּאתִי אֶל הַמֶּלֶךְ וּלְקֵץ יָמִים נִשְׁאַלְתִּי מִן הַמֶּלֶךְ |
| 13:7 para volver a Jerusalén; y entonces supe del mal que había hecho Eliasib por consideración a Tobías, haciendo para él una cámara en los atrios de la casa de Dios. |
And I came to Jerusalem, and understood of the evil that Eliashib did for Tobiah, in preparing him a chamber in the courts of the house of God. |
וָאָבֹוא לִירוּשָׁלִָם וָאָבִינָה בָרָעָה אֲשֶׁר עָשָׂה אֶלְיָשִׁיב לְטֹובִיָּה לַעֲשֹׂות לֹו נִשְׁכָּה בְּחַצְרֵי בֵּית הָאֱלֹהִים |
| 13:8 Y me dolió en gran manera; y arrojé todos los muebles de la casa de Tobías fuera de la cámara, |
And it grieved me sore: therefore I cast forth all the household stuff of Tobiah out of the chamber. |
וַיֵּרַע לִי מְאֹד וָאַשְׁלִיכָה אֶת כָּל כְּלֵי בֵית טֹובִיָּה הַחוּץ מִן הַלִּשְׁכָּה |
| 13:9 y dije que limpiasen las cámaras, e hice volver allí los utensilios de la casa de Dios, las ofrendas y el incienso. |
Then I commanded, and they cleansed the chambers: and thither brought I again the vessels of the house of God, with the meat offering and the frankincense. |
וָאֹמְרָה וַיְטַהֲרוּ הַלְּשָׁכֹות וָאָשִׁיבָה שָּׁם כְּלֵי בֵּית הָאֱלֹהִים אֶת הַמִּנְחָה וְהַלְּבֹונָה פ |
| 13:10 Encontré asimismo que las porciones para los levitas no les habían sido dadas, y que los levitas y cantores que hacían el servicio habían huido cada uno a su heredad. |
And I perceived that the portions of the Levites had not been given them: for the Levites and the singers, that did the work, were fled every one to his field. |
וָאֵדְעָה כִּי מְנָיֹות הַלְוִיִּם לֹא נִתָּנָה וַיִּבְרְחוּ אִישׁ לְשָׂדֵהוּ הַלְוִיִּם וְהַמְשֹׁרְרִים עֹשֵׂי הַמְּלָאכָה |
| 13:11 Entonces reprendí a los oficiales, y dije: ¿Por qué está la casa de Dios abandonada? Y los reuní y los puse en sus puestos. |
Then contended I with the rulers, and said, Why is the house of God forsaken? And I gathered them together, and set them in their place. |
וָאָרִיבָה אֶת הַסְּגָנִים וָאֹמְרָה מַדּוּעַ נֶעֱזַב בֵּית הָאֱלֹהִים וָאֶקְבְּצֵם וָאַעֲמִדֵם עַל עָמְדָם |
| 13:12 Y todo Judá trajo el diezmo del grano, del vino y del aceite, a los almacenes. |
Then brought all Judah the tithe of the corn and the new wine and the oil unto the treasuries. |
וְכָל יְהוּדָה הֵבִיאוּ מַעְשַׂר הַדָּגָן וְהַתִּירֹושׁ וְהַיִּצְהָר לָאֹוצָרֹות |
| 13:13 Y puse por mayordomos de ellos al sacerdote Selemías y al escriba Sadoc, y de los levitas a Pedaías; y al servicio de ellos a Hanán hijo de Zacur, hijo de Matanías; porque eran tenidos por fieles, y ellos tenían que repartir a sus hermanos. |
And I made treasurers over the treasuries, Shelemiah the priest, and Zadok the scribe, and of the Levites, Pedaiah: and next to them was Hanan the son of Zaccur, the son of Mattaniah: for they were counted faithful, and their office was to distribute unto their brethren. |
וָאֹוצְרָה עַל אֹוצָרֹות שֶׁלֶמְיָה הַכֹּהֵן וְצָדֹוק הַסֹּופֵר וּפְדָיָה מִן הַלְוִיִּם וְעַל יָדָם חָנָן בֶּן זַכּוּר בֶּן מַתַּנְיָה כִּי נֶאֱמָנִים נֶחְשָׁבוּ וַעֲלֵיהֶם לַחֲלֹק לַאֲחֵיהֶם פ |
| 13:14 Acuérdate de mí, oh Dios, en orden a esto, y no borres mis misericordias que hice en la casa de mi Dios, y en su servicio. |
Remember me, O my God, concerning this, and wipe not out my good deeds that I have done for the house of my God, and for the offices thereof. |
זָכְרָה לִּי אֱלֹהַי עַל זֹאת וְאַל תֶּמַח חֲסָדַי אֲשֶׁר עָשִׂיתִי בְּבֵית אֱלֹהַי וּבְמִשְׁמָרָיו |
| 13:15 En aquellos días vi en Judá a algunos que pisaban en lagares en el día de reposo, y que acarreaban haces, y cargaban asnos con vino, y también de uvas, de higos y toda suerte de carga, y que traían a Jerusalén en día de reposo; y los amonesté acerca del día en que vendían las provisiones. |
In those days saw I in Judah some treading wine presses on the sabbath, and bringing in sheaves, and lading asses; as also wine, grapes, and figs, and all manner of burdens, which they brought into Jerusalem on the sabbath day: and I testified against them in the day wherein they sold victuals. |
בַּיָּמִים הָהֵמָּה רָאִיתִי בִיהוּדָה ׀ דֹּרְכִים גִּתֹּות ׀ בַּשַּׁבָּת וּמְבִיאִים הָעֲרֵמֹות וְעֹמְסִים עַל הַחֲמֹרִים וְאַף יַיִן עֲנָבִים וּתְאֵנִים וְכָל מַשָּׂא וּמְבִיאִים יְרוּשָׁלִַם בְּיֹום הַשַּׁבָּת וָאָעִיד בְּיֹום מִכְרָם צָיִד |
| 13:16 También había en la ciudad tirios que traían pescado y toda mercadería, y vendían en día de reposo a los hijos de Judá en Jerusalén. |
There dwelt men of Tyre also therein, which brought fish, and all manner of ware, and sold on the sabbath unto the children of Judah, and in Jerusalem. |
וְהַצֹּרִים יָשְׁבוּ בָהּ מְבִיאִים דָּאג וְכָל מֶכֶר וּמֹכְרִים בַּשַּׁבָּת לִבְנֵי יְהוּדָה וּבִירוּשָׁלִָם |
| 13:17 Y reprendí a los señores de Judá y les dije: ¿Qué mala cosa es esta que vosotros hacéis, profanando así el día de reposo? |
Then I contended with the nobles of Judah, and said unto them, What evil thing is this that ye do, and profane the sabbath day? |
וָאָרִיבָה אֵת חֹרֵי יְהוּדָה וָאֹמְרָה לָהֶם מָה הַדָּבָר הָרָע הַזֶּה אֲשֶׁר אַתֶּם עֹשִׂים וּמְחַלְּלִים אֶת יֹום הַשַּׁבָּת |
| 13:18 ¿No hicieron así vuestros padres, y trajo nuestro Dios todo este mal sobre nosotros y sobre esta ciudad? ¿Y vosotros añadís ira sobre Israel profanando el día de reposo? |
Did not your fathers thus, and did not our God bring all this evil upon us, and upon this city? yet ye bring more wrath upon Israel by profaning the sabbath. |
הֲלֹוא כֹה עָשׂוּ אֲבֹתֵיכֶם וַיָּבֵא אֱלֹהֵינוּ עָלֵינוּ אֵת כָּל הָרָעָה הַזֹּאת וְעַל הָעִיר הַזֹּאת וְאַתֶּם מֹוסִיפִים חָרֹון עַל יִשְׂרָאֵל לְחַלֵּל אֶת הַשַּׁבָּת פ |
| 13:19 Sucedió, pues, que cuando iba oscureciendo a las puertas de Jerusalén antes del día de reposo, dije que se cerrasen las puertas, y ordené que no las abriesen hasta después del día de reposo; y puse a las puertas algunos de mis criados, para que en día de reposo no introdujeran carga. |
And it came to pass, that when the gates of Jerusalem began to be dark before the sabbath, I commanded that the gates should be shut, and charged that they should not be opened till after the sabbath: and some of my servants set I at the gates, that there should no burden be brought in on the sabbath day. |
וַיְהִי כַּאֲשֶׁר צָלֲלוּ שַׁעֲרֵי יְרוּשָׁלִַם לִפְנֵי הַשַּׁבָּת וָאֹמְרָה וַיִּסָּגְרוּ הַדְּלָתֹות וָאֹמְרָה אֲשֶׁר לֹא יִפְתָּחוּם עַד אַחַר הַשַּׁבָּת וּמִנְּעָרַי הֶעֱמַדְתִּי עַל הַשְּׁעָרִים לֹא יָבֹוא מַשָּׂא בְּיֹום הַשַּׁבָּת |
| 13:20 Y se quedaron fuera de Jerusalén una y dos veces los negociantes y los que vendían toda especie de mercancía. |
So the merchants and sellers of all kind of ware lodged without Jerusalem once or twice. |
וַיָּלִינוּ הָרֹכְלִים וּמֹכְרֵי כָל מִמְכָּר מִחוּץ לִירוּשָׁלִָם פַּעַם וּשְׁתָּיִם |
| 13:21 Y les amonesté y les dije: ¿Por qué os quedáis vosotros delante del muro? Si lo hacéis otra vez, os echaré mano. Desde entonces no vinieron en día de reposo. |
Then I testified against them, and said unto them, Why lodge ye about the wall? if ye do so again, I will lay hands on you. From that time forth came they no more on the sabbath. |
וָאָעִידָה בָהֶם וָאֹמְרָה אֲלֵיהֶם מַדּוּעַ אַתֶּם לֵנִים נֶגֶד הַחֹומָה אִם תִּשְׁנוּ יָד אֶשְׁלַח בָּכֶם מִן הָעֵת הַהִיא לֹא בָאוּ בַּשַּׁבָּת ס |
| 13:22 Y dije a los levitas que se purificasen y viniesen a guardar las puertas, para santificar el día del reposo. También por esto acuérdate de mí, Dios mío, y perdóname según la grandeza de tu misericordia. |
And I commanded the Levites that they should cleanse themselves, and that they should come and keep the gates, to sanctify the sabbath day. Remember me, O my God, concerning this also, and spare me according to the greatness of thy mercy. |
וָאֹמְרָה לַלְוִיִּם אֲשֶׁר יִהְיוּ מִטַּהֲרִים וּבָאִים שֹׁמְרִים הַשְּׁעָרִים לְקַדֵּשׁ אֶת יֹום הַשַּׁבָּת גַּם זֹאת זָכְרָה לִּי אֱלֹהַי וְחוּסָה עָלַי כְּרֹב חַסְדֶּךָ פ |
| 13:23 Vi asimismo en aquellos días a judíos que habían tomado mujeres de Asdod, amonitas, y moabitas; |
In those days also saw I Jews that had married wives of Ashdod, of Ammon, and of Moab: |
גַּם ׀ בַּיָּמִים הָהֵם רָאִיתִי אֶת הַיְּהוּדִים הֹשִׁיבוּ נָשִׁים [אַשְׁדֹּודִיֹּות כ] (אַשְׁדֳּדִיֹּות ק) [עַמֹּונִיֹּות כ] (עַמֳּנִיֹּות ק) מֹואֲבִיֹּות |
| 13:24 y la mitad de sus hijos hablaban la lengua de Asdod, porque no sabían hablar judaico, sino que hablaban conforme a la lengua de cada pueblo. |
And their children spake half in the speech of Ashdod, and could not speak in the Jews' language, but according to the language of each people. |
וּבְנֵיהֶם חֲצִי מְדַבֵּר אַשְׁדֹּודִית וְאֵינָם מַכִּירִים לְדַבֵּר יְהוּדִית וְכִלְשֹׁון עַם וָעָם |
| 13:25 Y reñí con ellos, y los maldije, y herí a algunos de ellos, y les arranqué los cabellos, y les hice jurar, diciendo: No daréis vuestras hijas a sus hijos, y no tomaréis de sus hijas para vuestros hijos, ni para vosotros mismos. |
And I contended with them, and cursed them, and smote certain of them, and plucked off their hair, and made them swear by God, saying, Ye shall not give your daughters unto their sons, nor take their daughters unto your sons, or for yourselves. |
וָאָרִיב עִמָּם וָאֲקַלְלֵם וָאַכֶּה מֵהֶם אֲנָשִׁים וָאֶמְרְטֵם וָאַשְׁבִּיעֵם בֵּאלֹהִים אִם תִּתְּנוּ בְנֹתֵיכֶם לִבְנֵיהֶם וְאִם תִּשְׂאוּ מִבְּנֹתֵיהֶם לִבְנֵיכֶם וְלָכֶם |
| 13:26 ¿No pecó por esto Salomón, rey de Israel? Bien que en muchas naciones no hubo rey como él, que era amado de su Dios, y Dios lo había puesto por rey sobre todo Israel, aun a él le hicieron pecar las mujeres extranjeras. |
Did not Solomon king of Israel sin by these things? yet among many nations was there no king like him, who was beloved of his God, and God made him king over all Israel: nevertheless even him did outlandish women cause to sin. |
הֲלֹוא עַל אֵלֶּה חָטָא שְׁלֹמֹה מֶלֶךְ יִשְׂרָאֵל וּבַגֹּויִם הָרַבִּים לֹא הָיָה מֶלֶךְ כָּמֹהוּ וְאָהוּב לֵאלֹהָיו הָיָה וַיִּתְּנֵהוּ אֱלֹהִים מֶלֶךְ עַל כָּל יִשְׂרָאֵל גַּם אֹותֹו הֶחֱטִיאוּ הַנָּשִׁים הַנָּכְרִיֹּות |
| 13:27 ¿Y obedeceremos a vosotros para cometer todo este mal tan grande de prevaricar contra nuestro Dios, tomando mujeres extranjeras? |
Shall we then hearken unto you to do all this great evil, to transgress against our God in marrying strange wives? |
וְלָכֶם הֲנִשְׁמַע לַעֲשֹׂת אֵת כָּל הָרָעָה הַגְּדֹולָה הַזֹּאת לִמְעֹל בֵּאלֹהֵינוּ לְהֹשִׁיב נָשִׁים נָכְרִיֹּות |
| 13:28 Y uno de los hijos de Joiada hijo del sumo sacerdote Eliasib era yerno de Sanbalat horonita; por tanto, lo ahuyenté de mí. |
And one of the sons of Joiada, the son of Eliashib the high priest, was son in law to Sanballat the Horonite: therefore I chased him from me. |
וּמִבְּנֵי יֹויָדָע בֶּן אֶלְיָשִׁיב הַכֹּהֵן הַגָּדֹול חָתָן לְסַנְבַלַּט הַחֹרֹנִי וָאַבְרִיחֵהוּ מֵעָלָי |
| 13:29 Acuérdate de ellos, Dios mío, contra los que contaminan el sacerdocio, y el pacto del sacerdocio y de los levitas. |
Remember them, O my God, because they have defiled the priesthood, and the covenant of the priesthood, and of the Levites. |
זָכְרָה לָהֶם אֱלֹהָי עַל גָּאֳלֵי הַכְּהֻנָּה וּבְרִית הַכְּהֻנָּה וְהַלְוִיִּם |
| 13:30 Los limpié, pues, de todo extranjero, y puse a los sacerdotes y levitas por sus grupos, a cada uno en su servicio; |
Thus cleansed I them from all strangers, and appointed the wards of the priests and the Levites, every one in his business; |
וְטִהַרְתִּים מִכָּל נֵכָר וָאַעֲמִידָה מִשְׁמָרֹות לַכֹּהֲנִים וְלַלְוִיִּם אִישׁ בִּמְלַאכְתֹּו |
| 13:31 y para la ofrenda de la leña en los tiempos señalados, y para las primicias. Acuérdate de mí, Dios mío, para bien. |
And for the wood offering, at times appointed, and for the firstfruits. Remember me, O my God, for good. |
וּלְקֻרְבַּן הָעֵצִים בְּעִתִּים מְזֻמָּנֹות וְלַבִּכּוּרִים זָכְרָה לִּי אֱלֹהַי לְטֹובָה |
